Nothing but good things to say about Greenwood Vet.

I highly recommend this vet clinic!! I was extremely nervous bringing my 15 year old kitty into the vet. All of the staff and doctors were so incredibly kind and understanding of my anxiety/concerns. They really went out of there way to ensure I was comfortable and confident with leaving my cat with them! The bill was pretty high but understandably so for Seattle prices and also for what my cat needed for treatment. She’s doing really well now and I’m so happy with how they took care of her! If you’re looking for a reliable place to take your fur babies, I highly recommend Greenwood!

If you want to torture your animals, take them here. RIght before she had to be put down, they picked up my 11+ lb. blind, breathing badly, nail trimmed kitty only by the scruff. She was terrified and flailing. They had just cut her terribly on the arm, almost inch long cut when they shaved her for an IV. It wasn't just chaffed, it was bleeding. This was so they could give her a sedative??? Not sure why they couldn't just sedate and euthanize without first torturing and poking. I understand needed to keep distance for COVID, but they had her away from me for 35 minutes before I could be with her at the end. No "Wait until they are ready." COVID concerns? A bit ridiculous since the main secretary has her nose showing most of the time. The torture fee: $285. I put my cat down so she wouldn't be in terrible pain by me waiting too long. Sure didn't work. FYI, this used to be a good practice, probably why there are so many good reviews. Dr. Z retired and it has been steady down hill.

No stars. Zero. But I had to do atleast one to post this. They flat out lied. I will now lose precious time. His life will now unnecessarily be cut short. My Cooper was having issues with his nose. They took x rays of his nose. They said they see a foreign object in his nose. Not cancer. That their Doctor who was able to use a scope was out of the Country for a month. I call weeks later. The person who answered the phone actually told me they do not do scoping there. Months later I find I should have been referred to a specialist. The CANCER has now grown to the point of no return. I will lose my sweet boy unnecessarily. They violated my trust. They flat out lied. Had they referred me months ago to a specialist my Cooper and I would not be in this pitiful position.

I took my very sick cat in on Wednesday and was told that all they know is she is very sick but won’t know with what until the lab work comes in on Friday. Received no call friday. I called them they said the labs are in but they can’t tell me anything and will have the doctor call that night. No call. I called all day and left multiple messages on Saturday (they are open) and received no call. They are closed on Sundays. So now I have a sick cat, no information and am out $400 and need to take her to another emergency vet because this place is garbage.

They’ll take your pet into a back room (and won’t allow you to join) - this caused a lot of unnecessary distress for my dog (for a routine check up). Based on the size of the operation and the number of people waiting for their dogs, it appears the vet comes in to do a very quick check up and then the animals are taken into a kennel in the back to wait for pick up. Pros: this makes it easier to get seen, and maybe a little less expensive than some other area vets Cons: distress for the animals, quick check ups unobserved by pet parents means mistakes could be made Might be ok for routine shots and prescriptions, but not sure I’ll come back for any serious problems!

We were introduced to Greenwood Animal Hospital through the organization that we adopted our cats from. After our first visit, we quickly realized we had found a special vets office. They don’t over charge, or have any hidden costs and are pretty quick with communication. We have had especially great interactions with Brittney; She gives great advice, very kind and really cares about our animals health. We are so happy we found this place!

I rarely review on Google but felt that the Greenwood team deserved one! Dr Raj and his team have given us (& the org we adopted from) so much help and support over the past year; I don’t know if our kidney disease pup would’ve made it without their help. Ready to treat, very helpful on the phone, straight with the facts, ready to commit to what it takes - it’s what we wanted and needed this time last year. Thank you Dr Raj and team!

I was trying to make an appointment with someone via email and when I went to confirm and give them all my info, they suddenly stopped responding to my emails. No one is answering the phone here either. Highly unprofessional and I will go somewhere else.

came in with a dental emergency after being displaced by hurricane Ida. they were able to take care of my dogs abscessed teeth the same day and absolutely relived her pain. I appreciated the different financing options because emergency dental surgery was not cheap! staff was so nice to us during a really terrible time. she's doing better than ever.

This place is busy almost every time I go there. But I can understand why, these are the best vets I have encountered thus far. We just moved to the area a few months ago in the middle of covid and our pups needed care. When everyone was refusing to our dogs for their ear infections, this hospital was able to accommodate us on a very short notice. When we got there, the vet was thorough and direct and went over the exam and all the costs of tests and medications. I was very happy with the professionalism. The overall appointment took a little over an hour for both of my dogs and within a week they were back to normal! The vet also made us realize that one of our pups has allergies!! Which is why he got the ear infection in the first place. He is 7 years old and gets ear infections couple times a year. Other vets have always missed this and just given us medications or steroids!! After several visits our dog is not on any medications, and with one simple food change he is so happy and infection free. I will be taking my pooch's here for as long as I can.

Glad I left this spot before I let them even look at my dog...the moment I heard her go back behind the door ,I heard her yelps, the finale red flag was when they told us to come back in an hour,no way....just for a check up....I have never in 40+years ever left my dog "for a check up"....this place should be shut down...perfect example of...check reviews....be warned...if you love your companion, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE....

I called GAH for an appointment, most veterinary clinics have appointments days out, but the reception staff were compassionate and went above and beyond to speak to their clinic manager to inquire if they could see my pet for an emergency appointment. They were able to accommodate us the next day. The day of the appointment I was able to check in at the front desk. Reception staff are following COVID-19 protocols, multi-tasking and communicating efficiently. The provider examined my pet, explained diagnostics and assessment thoroughly. All of my concerns were addressed and I could tell by Dr. Raj's demeanor that he genuinely cares about his patients. The price for services is reasonable and possibly even lower than other veterinary clinics. Thank you so much to GAH staff you are a blessing to the community. Pro tip- Call the clinic directly, you will get a quicker response than email.

This is the best vet hospital in Seattle. Dr. Raj and Dr. Tom are very professional and attentive. Both of them take the time to listen to my concerns and explain the treatment options in details. Their fees are much more reasonable than others in the neighborhood including cat dental cleanup ($350 vs $650+ from many others) and prescription cat food (better than petco and chewy). This is my go-to vet hospital for my three cats!

I really can't say enough good things about this vet. They gave me an estimate for surgery on my cat, which was by far the most reasonable and although there were complications that extended his hospital stay 3 days, they charged me exactly what they said they would with no hidden charges. And any aftercare was covered and free ( which he didn't need since they did such a good job).

Reception was rude and not helpful. I will not be using them for this alone. I am from out of town and was unable to confirm location of clinic or resources. I have a Shiba Inu and asked about removing his undercoat. I was repeatedly asked where I wanted him shaved! Umm.... I do not want my short haired Shiba shaved anywhere thank you lol Just Wow! I did not get to meet the vet or other staff that I have heard such amazing reviews about. Just disappointed.

Most compassionate staff. The doctors dont give you a run around on the diagnosis is and avoid running all the tests upfront. They have been serving our family for many years now and they treat our pets as if they were their own. I highly recommend them!

Love the folks at Greenwood. They are so good to us and our pups. Super responsive, always kind and always accommodating. Appreciate the pricing, the doctor and nurse's communications are awesome, appointment reminders, etc. Thanks for all of the great care you give our pups!

Could not have asked for a better vet in the area. The staff is kind and Dr. Raj takes his time and makes sure all of your questions are fully answered. I know my animals are in good hands here. The prices are reasonable too and they sent a personalized written card to my daughter when we had to put her bearded dragon down. They made us feel important.

Amazing staff. They really care, you can tell. They saved Lucy's life and you could see how much joy and pride they took in their work. To top it all off it was about half of what other vets would have charged me for the same care.. Thank you!

Brought my kitten here for her first shots and a general check up. Couldn't have been more pleased with how nice everyone is. They made both me and my anxious kitten feel at ease. 10/10 suggest this animal hospital to anyone in north seattle.

Wonderful Dr. I didn’t have an appointment and they were very kind to let me take him in. My dog already has a heart condition and luckily the Dr. discovered Jedda is also suffering from Pneumonia and treated him. Thank you so much.

Second update: I have now taken my dog for multiple dental cleanings, all her vaccines, and now an emergency. I was literally crying on the phone but the doctor was so nice. After healthy paws pet insurance, it was not that expensive either for an emergency and an overnight stay, fluids, medication, x ray. They are really nice to her as well. I 100% trust these people. I also received straightforward medical explanations. Other veterinarians just take your money and don't give any real answers for why something happened. He was able to give me a medical explanation that really soothed my intense panic. I love this vet! I drive from Bellevue. It's a seedy area but never had any problems. Just drive, don't bus... Lol. Update: I have now taken my dog here for two dental cleanings and one health exam (with various services). Dr Raj is very personable and knowledgeable. I will go here as long as they continue to offer services. Exam fee is actually 65 I am mistaken unless they raised prices. But honestly they deserve it so whatever. This is an expensive area and the front desk people have to eat. great vet. I trust them 100%. I take my small dog here every year for her booster shots and for one dental so far (only had her two years). These are really nice people, best prices in Seattle (the fancy vet from my town wants $28 for each vaccine and 60 per visit... No thank you... Greenwood AH only charges 35 exam with free first exam and 17 or 27 per vaccine depending on which one). I love these people and will always come here. I drive a long distance to come here. It's in a little strip mall on Aurora avenue but it's clean and the people are nice and the price is right.

We've been brining our fur babies for over 20 years. Always fair prices, good service and treating our pets with care.

Had an emergency with my cat as he stopped peeing. They got him in right away and took care of him. He spent 3 days in the clinic and the price was very reasonable. They updated me as much as they could but always welcomed my calls. During checkout I found out that they work with homeless pets as well and that really says something about a business. God bless their heart. Thank you for taking such a good care of my baby.

Took my 2 happy healthy cats to them for a simple flea treatment and bath. Took them 5 hours and they said they had to use anesthesia to bathe them which is odd because they love the water. Charged us 481 dollars for that. I brought them home still wet from the baths and they wouldnt eat or drink which I attributed to the anesthesia. About 3am I woke up to them convulsing and white foam coming up when they tried to vomit. Called the vet when they opened and was told only 1 dr was working and that when he started charts hed call me back. I wasnt having it and took them back to make them see how bad it was. The dr called me back after 2 hrs to tell me it was an allergic reaction to flea medicine and gave me estimate for another 1000 dollars to treat them with iv fluids and a blood test. They kept them overnight and when we picked them up the next day they were covered in urine, the vet had thrown away the blanket I sent with them, got no receipt for exactly what the 1000 dollars paid for and when I brought them home noticed they never even cleaned the flea stuff off of them. I will never go there again and do not recommend this place.

Last week I had an emergency with my 2 month old puppy. Ava responded to me late at night and made sure to have a room ready to take my puppy in the next morning. My puppy (Zoe) was treated for Parvo and spent 5 days at GAH. I got a text or phone call twice a day updating me on my puppy's status. The price was way more reasonable than any other surrounding hospital. They saved Zoe's life and sent her home with clear instructions to get her back to 100%. The Doctor even called me a couple hours after we got home to check if I had any further questions. Thank you so much Ava, Dr. Upender and all of the wonderful staff at GAH! I will forever be grateful for the treatment Zoe received!

This place is by far the best place I’ve taken my dog. They communicate well, quick and effective. Friendly staff. Showed a lot of care for my dog. Took care of injuries that were poorly patched up by a different clinic and were much more affordable. I look forward to working with them from now on. They also have a way to set up payment plans that aren’t ran by credit companies and it has been a better experience over all.

Our dog needed urgent care on a national holiday, our regular vet was fully booked for at least three weeks, and we were suggested to call other vets in the neighborhood. Upon calling, GAH is the first one who responded and helped us check with the doctor to squeeze us in in just 2 hours. We were able to get the diagnosis and schedule the surgery needed right away, and we can take our pup home the next day. Wow. Efficiency. Thank you!
