Very cool, but more crowded than expected. Not enough room for dogs to run. We'll only new back for the doodle days.

Always a great place to go after work, take your dog and unwind with a beer or yummy nosh while your dog plays. They are always having special events as well.

Such a great spot to take your pooch or dog watch. Very great cozy atmosphere and cute cute cute doggos. The only bummer was that the canned drinks are $9 each! $9 for a can of beer is quite steep but the dogs make up for it!

I'm changing my review but still keeping 3 stars because of my experience. I guess if you have a perfect dog then this is your place. Good price and friendly staff. My dog is not a role model. He tries to play with every dog but when some dogs don't want to play with him and he's super stubborn, sometimes there're conflicts. Most dog parents are chill while some are not. As you can imagine, my dog gets into conflicts more with dogs that do not have good manners. Coincidentally owners of these not-role-model dogs are oftentimes not the chill kind of owners. I'm trying my best to manage my dog and say sorry to everyone, but that doesn't mean that I think my dog is the worse one in the heated situation. That being said, the reason for the 3-star is because I don't think the staff there are good at diffusing the conflicts between dog owners. There was a time a very rude white guy walked directly into my face showing his fist because my dog was chasing his dog and I wasn't able to stop it and refused to leave as he requested. We both paid entrance fee, if the dogs didn't hurt one other, why is he entitled to ask me to leave? He was yelling at me and acted like he was gonna beat me, while his dog was basically barking at every dog in the park and then later they left. And the staff didn't do anything except telling me "Hairy was wrong too". I already know that. Was my dog wrong? Yes. Was my dog the worse dog between the two? No. Was I the worse person between the two owners? I don't think so. And with all that being said, my dog is a 2yo shiba inu. He has never ever ever ever hurt any dog or person or any animal.

We had the most amazing evening tonight. Our 17 year old Silken Windhound turned 17! Yup she’s an old dog with huge spirit. Jeff and the crew at the Dog Yard Bar helped us celebrate. We had ten friends come and all of them were over the top impressed with the party they set up for us. Pizza’s, cannolis, good beer, with a lovely atmosphere. What more can you ask for? Outdoors, safe warm and nonstop dog watching. Hoping our unbelievable girl makes it for another party next year. Ballard’s gem of a place.

Super awesome spot to chill. Your dog gets to make friends while you hang with yours. Heaters are in the outdoor space to stay comfy. Awesome selection of alcohol and dog treats!!

A great place to bring your dog and it's not crazy expensive. The entry fee is reasonable and the food is moderately priced. The staff is wonderful, the events are fun, there's plenty of seating, shade, water bowls, poo bags, trash, etc. Overall, a great day out

Super fun, lively dog park and bar. We had a good time relaxing with a couple of drinks and watching our dog have a blast! There was even live music while we were there. Loved that there was water for the dogs to play in and fans blowing mist around outside, as it was a very hot, sunny day. Dog profile/paperwork was super easy to fill out prior to our visit. Staff was very friendly as helpful as well. ???? My only complaint about this place is that I wish there were a location closer to us in Olympia!

Great vibes, great dogs. Nice to be able to hang out and get some drinks with friends without having to worry too much about your dog having fun. There's even misters to keep them cool! Make sure you come in with all current vaccination records for your pup and make a profile for them online. They're strict on that but it's for the good of everyone!

A cute place for dogs & humans! The prices are a little higher than other dog bars in the area but worth it! The bark-tenders are so great with the dogs and they bring around treats & ice water every so often. I only wish I lived closer because we would for sure be members!

DYB is always great, but worth noting on this visit: I was on my way home from work and feeling the effects of heat exhaustion, low blood sugar, and of course I'd have a full bladder. Pretty sure I was about to pass out when I saw the DYB through the haze. The wonderful staff let me cool down and use the restroom even though I must've looked halfway crazy and Ididn't know them; I got the lifesaving water and snack nuts I desperately needed to complete my journey and bought a pass. Thank you, DYB!

Came without a dog, had a tasty canned hard kombucha, got all the dog love I needed on a sunny Sunday evening. Neat spot.

This was so much fun. Staff is amazing and the other patrons and regulars are so nice as well. I grew up with Dogs but me and my wife want to wait until we have a yard before getting a dog as we live in downtown Seattle, in a 1 bedroom. The Dog Yard helps ease the pain as we can go there and get to see and play with tons of other dogs. Obviously you will need to respect the Dogs and owners by asking if it is okay to interact with their dog but most are more than willing to abide. The whole place is well designed and beautiful, this is a must visit for Dog lovers.

A great place to come after a long workday and let your pup run and drain that pent up energy with others without any abandon. The staff are super friendly and welcoming as well as the other humans who show as much love to your dog as theirs. It’s also a convenient spot off Leary but parking can be a challenge depending on the time of day.
