Love this place and the job they do on my pup-pup. Always professional and have been nothing but great. My dog comes out looking fabulous and after trying a few groomers in the central district/cap hill area while this is a longer drive for me it is well worth it!

Our dog loves going there. Grooming is well done. Staff is very friendly.

Had a similar experience as another one star reviewer. I called well in advance of my dog needing to be groomed again so I could avoid having her have to be trimmed so short (admittedly things got out of hand at the end of the summer and my dog ended up matted and needing to be shaved). I had been told to call and schedule after getting an appointment for my dogs spaying. As soon as I got her spay appt, I called to schedule a grooming and was told by the owner that the groomer who worked on my dog had left and there was no one else who she could be scheduled with. Mind you, I was calling WEEKS in advance of needing an appointment. They clearly do not need business, or at least are not worried about keeping customers happy. I have never left a negative review in my life but I had to in this situation.

We went here when it was Lookin Good and had a great experience with them. I called today to schedule an appointment for my mini poodle and the gal that answered the phone asked for my last name and dog breed put me on hold and said since I haven't been to Dog Star before that I should ' go back to the place I've been going to for 2 years' . They didn't even ask what service I needed. In a nutshell I guess they aren't accepting new clients?

My father scheduled an appointment for his Papillion dog to have his nails trimmed, along with a hygienic trim several weeks back. Upon arrival for our early morning appointment, we were greeted by a wonderful, caring woman who took our dog back to perform the service. We were then greeted by the owner who then went back to assist with the procedure on our dog. I watched the entire service through a mirror that hung behind the front desk on the wall. I was so impressed with how wonderful they were with our dog. Afterward, we asked if we could set up an appointment for a grooming? The owner said they didn't have any openings until October 29th of 2021. This being a few months away, the owner (I believe her name was Inga), suggested we try another groomer. She graciously referred us to someone else who she claimed was great. I asked if we could just schedule the October grooming with her and she ignored me. My father then asked the owner if they could do future hygienic trims for our dog if we aren't able to get in to the other groomers, or preferred her? The owner Inga, replied yes. We called the other groomer we were referred to and unfortunately they were booked up until November. My father called Inga back at Dog star, and booked the October appointment a few days ago. My father called back to ask if she wanted him to bring in his recent vaccine record from the vet? Inga responded by telling my father, "no! i referred you elsewhere and I'm canceling your appointment " and she hung up the phone. Shocked by her rude behavior, I decided to call and left a message for the owner Inga to explain why she so rudely canceled? Two days later i received a message from Inga stating that she was "firm and hung up because she referred him somewhere else, and she wasn't taking on anymore new clients right". We concluded that this woman is nuts! After reading recent reviews of people who've taken in their "new pets recently" its obvious that she is indeed taking new clients, and didn't want our business for whatever prejudices she had toward us, there was no excuse for her extreme rude and unprofessional behavior. I have been in dentistry for twenty six years, and if I ever treated a patient this way I would not have a job. I hope she can learn from this review and re evaluate her attitude toward others!

I just went for the first time with my large anxious dog and they did a wonderful job! He absolutely hates getting his nails trimmed and they did it quickly and gently! I will definitely be coming back :)

Great quality from kind people.

These folks are as nice as they get! They were able to squeeze my dog in for a last minute bath and nail trim, and they had him in and out in less than hour. We will definitely be back!

Scheduled a hair and nails trimming of our 12 year old Bichon Frise for 8am. The staff was ready and friendly and confirmed the kind of cut we wanted. He was ready at the appointed time and he looked great. They helped us schedule his next trimming appointment. When we got home, he promptly rolled all over the ground and into mud puddle. My wife was not happy, but the dog was.

They made me feel really comfortable leaving my puppy for grooming. Desiree did such a good job, he looks great. Good price.

I love taking my Golden Retriever, Fenway, here. Helpful and friendly staff, they clearly love dogs and are always excited to see mine. I’m able to give them very little instruction, and they always do a stellar job. They’re very consistent too.

Engre is the best ???? groomer in Seattle, bar none. My aussiedoodle is so happy to see her everytime he needs a haircut or a good brush-out. I recommend Dog Star to everyone I know. Also, ask Engre what the name ???????? means!

The staff are super friendly and professional and do a great job handling my wiggly dog who hates nail trims.

Only complaint is they are always booked a month out. Very good with my older dog.

They always do a great job with our cocker spaniel whose fur mats like crazy, and they are so nice and easy to deal with!

Took my shih tzu here for the first time today to get groomed. No more home haircuts for my girl! They did such a lovely job since my baby was a bit of a mess after my attempts to keep her trimmed during COVID. They were professional and asked what I liked / would change for the next time. Biscuit was super happy when I picked her up so I know she was loved and cared for during her “spa day”. Thank you!

We brought our sweet yellow lab here for a bath and they did a phenomenal job! We live right around the corner, so it's nice to have a neighborhood groomer to go to.

Extremely unprofessional behavior by the staff today, a far departure from the previous experiences we have had there. Despite encouraging us to bring in our dog , when we arrived we were welcomed with disdain and dismissiveness. Very confusing since our dog is well known to the staff and she had previously enthusiastically remarked how much they love to have him there. He's a gentle rollie-pollie retriever. I get that some employees have bad days, but we're not going to leave our dog with someone who is mean spirited towards such a good natured pet.

Took my dog Bella in and they did full service and affordable.

I started bringing our Golden Retriever, Dudley, here as a young puppy for nail trims and now we do full grooming. He has never been anxious and always seems to be calm and well when I pick him up. The staff are nice and professional. Dudley gets compliments on how well groomed he looks after appointments. Happy to have a good groomer in our neighborhood! They are often booked a ways out, but I’ve found that is the case with all groomers in the area.
