We were nervous about leaving our cat at home for a week-long camping trip after being home 24/7 for several months, and were happy to find Creature Comforts! We loved the option for two visits a day. From googling "seattle cat sitter" to the end of our trip, we had a great experience with Matt and Creature Comforts. He responded quickly, and the in-home consultation beforehand was an opportunity to go over logistics and meet everyone. Matt sent updates throughout the week, including photos of our cat. We were pleased to come back to a happy cat with food, water, and a clean litter box, watered plants, and the house as we left it. We will be using Creature Comforts again in the future and would recommend to others!

Matt has been wonderful! We moved to Seattle almost a year ago and didn’t know anyone to get a reference for a cat sitter. We found Matt online and he was the most responsive and professional of a few businesses we reached out to. He has taken care of our rotten cat several times and it has been a great experience for all of us. He is reliable, his business is professional, he is super responsive and he takes great care of our fluffball! We would highly recommend Matt and Creature Comfort Pet Sitting.

We've used Creature Comforts four or five times in the last year, they have been wonderful. Most times Matthew has been our sitter, once was out of town so his employee (Rachael?) filled in. Great service, extremely responsive, gave us daily updates and photos. My cat was on pills one trip, she was very reluctant to take them. Left a note to skip during the trip. Matthew suggested pill pockets, and took a video of our kitty eating the pill pocket :-) Left the bag on the counter for us, which was great!! Will continue to use and refer to friends, 5 stars.

* a 3 month update as I’m emailed about this review often: My fish tanks are still deeply under repair, lots of money spent trying to fix to no avail. No apology or acknowledgement ever was ever made. If I could rate this lower, I would. Owner refuses to respond to clients privately about their complaints, shown multiple times below. He threatened to sue for being simply questioned why his care was so negligent. Photos have been attached. My fish are DEAD. My fish tanks are ruined. The equipment has been destroyed. And I can’t even get an apology. This is not our first time using Mat, however it will be our last. When we left for our vacation, explicit instructions were given for all animals. His helper (who worked only the first few days), was incredible! But that quickly seemed to end when she was no longer in charge, and Matt was back. I cannot express how much these instructions were NOT followed. The wrong frozen food was fed fourteen times. A food that had no label, that he could not tell what it was. A food that unlike the others, was NOT in the instructions for good reason. This food, then proceeded to sink to the bottom of the tank and rot (the food that sank, should have been removed. Another instruction he point blank did not follow...though regardless of the physical proof, he attempted to lie and say this did not happen.) The water level lowers from condensation. Clearly stated, it should be filled back up to compensate. This was clearly on the instructions. This was clearly not done for weeks, and because of this, he broke every single filter on the three tanks due to their inability to reach the water. I purchased brand new filters specifically for while we were gone to ensure they did not break. Due to his negligence and refusal to follow instruction, this new equipment (hundreds of dollars) is broken. Not to mention was not doing it’s intended job for god knows how long. A simple text if the tanks looked dirty, was all I asked. I had someone who would have cleaned them. He could not even text me to let me know the condition of these CLEARLY not okay fish tanks. The state of my once loved hobby and pets, have been destroyed. Thousands of dedicated dollars and hours. Destroyed. Not a single apology, nor an ounce of remorse from mat. Purely excuses and lies, proved fully by the physical evidence in front of my face. Reading through other reviews, it seems this is a standard issue of his. Now I know, and to protect the lives of my pets in the future, I will never contact this person again. There is no answer for what happened to my tanks and fish, other than pure negligence and lack of caring. He took our money and ran. This was clearly not a priority. **i see he responds here to people who have very similar reactions as me, he responds the same way here he does in text. Blatant lies, excuses, and a refusal to accept any responsibility for his mistakes. Take his responses with a giant grain of salt. He proceeded to DELETE the photos of the fish tanks I posted. He not only refuses to accept fault, but is hiding things on here.

We went for a long weekend in the San Juan islands and were very reluctant to hiring a new sitter for our two kitties. Matt put us at ease and made himself available on short notice and was very accommodating. Very professional, great rates. He sent pictures to us every day and boys were happy and well-fed / cared for when we returned home. The cats really liked Matt. 10/10 will definitely hire him again !

Matthew fed and spent time with my cats while I was out of town for 2 weeks. He sent a daily photo to let me know they were doing well, which was nice. Everything was tidy when we returned home and kitties seemed to be well taken care of! I would recommend Creature Comforts!

I used Creature Comforts from 2016 to 2018, then had to relocate for work. Sadly, there is nothing like this where I am at now. Matthew totally bonded with my cat, always gave me updates with photos, and was always available by phone, text, or email. I had a few last minute trips come up, and he was extremely accomodating, though it was probably frustrating! My kitty misses him, we would recommend Creature Comforts to anyone.

We use Creature Comforts Pet Sitting multiple times a year. We primarily work with Claire, and she has been fantastic with our cats! She is punctual, follows instructions for feedings, and we've never had an issue with her or the company. Creature Comforts is affordable, and easy to work with.

We have been using Creature Comforts for around four years now, and have nothing but positive things to say. Matt and Rachel have been the sitters for our cats Buttons and Gizmo. Both are professional, nice, and always send updates, photos, etc... We have moved a bit out of their service area, but they agreed to keep visiting the cats, which was a huge relief. Highly recommended!!

Incredible experience at an unmatched value! We've never used a cat sitting service in the past, but without question we will only use Creature Comforts moving forward! They provide complete reassurance and have a solid process in place, not to mention they are EXTREMELY easy to work with and very flexible with your preferences. I used Creature Comforts this summer, went overseas for two weeks. Had trouble getting a hold of any company. Matt answered the phone, and we set up the meeting, everything went smoothly. Very professional compared to the other service I had used before. My kitty needs insulin shots 2x per day, which wasn't an issue for them. Left for my trip, and all went great!! Have cameras in my home, so I was able to occasionally watch visits. Very happy, and have booked for the holidays.

I moved to the US in February on a two year work visa, and wasn't going to leave my kitty Hops behind, so she came with me :) From a small town in Holland, where cat sitting really isn't a thing, so I was slightly apprehensive. Called this company, Matthew was really funny and personable. Hops came right up to him for pets when he came over to meet her. Was gone for 10 days back home, and got a picture update every day. Came back to my apartment and everything was great, Hops looked good, and I was really happy. Have called twice since and same happiness.

Creature Comforts has been walking my dog Sammy for about two years, and I have nothing but great things to say :) Sammy was a bit shy at first, but after about a week, he acted like Matt was one of the family. We always get a lot of advance notice of any trips/vacations, so we can make other arrangements, or use one of his other sitters. Very professional, personable, and have never had any issues. Have happily referred other friends.

Horrible experience! Please read before considering Creature Comforts: The owner, Matt, covered the last five days of our 10-day vacation. When we came home, our house STUNK of cat urine and we couldn’t find our kitty anywhere. We looked at the litter box and it was full of un-scooped waste. We’ve had cats for decades, so we know how full it should have been – for one cat, for less than half a day, there should have been very little there -- yet the quantity, smell, and mess suggested the litter box had not been touched in several days. After searching the house, we found our cat huddled under the bed in a far corner. When she saw us she started yowling, and she didn’t stop for an hour. She was clearly VERY stressed. We tried to figure out what had happened so we looked at video from our Ring device at the front door, where we could see exactly when Matt came and went. Here’s what we paid for: two visits per day, 40 minutes each. Here’s what we received: ONE visit per day, averaging FOUR MINUTES each. On one day, from the time he appeared on our porch, until the time he was outside walking away, was TWO MINUTES. We then immediately texted him to ask what had happened. He acted as if nothing was wrong, and insisted that he had cleaned the litter box that morning, which, based on the evidence, was impossible to believe. As soon as we pressed him for further explanation of the missed appointments as well as the short appointments, he stopped responding. We followed up by email the next day. He then offered this explanation: “I do believe I mixed you up with another client... Her cat is scared of me, so she only asks for drop in visits once a day.” This too, we found very difficult to believe, but one of two things IS true: Either he did confuse us with another client, which is a very troubling indication of his professionalism, organization, and attention to detail, or he DIDN’T confuse us with another client, and he lied about it. Either way, it’s bad. We insisted on a full refund, but he refused. He later provided a refund only for the appointments that he missed entirely, but despite our repeated requests, he refused to refund or even adjust the cost for the appointments where we paid for 40 minutes but he spent an average of four minutes. He just started ignoring our emails. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - RESPONSE TO BUSINESS OWNER’S REPLY BELOW: I stand by every syllable of this. Look at some of his other negative reviews. We are not alone. I'll quickly address two of his most absurd statements: "The cat has always hidden from everyone other than the primary sitter, so I'm not sure why this person is surprised that their cat was stressed, as the cat always hides." This is laughably false. This is a sweet and social kitty. This cat "always hides"? This cat has never hidden from a sitter EVER before, and previous sitters have regularly sent us photos of themselves playing with her. This is true even for one of Matt’s own employees! "We never received any requests for a full refund from this client, and sent a 50 percent refund despite not hearing from this person regarding any refund request." The owner would be advised not to make claims that are so easy to disprove. Who is lying here? Me or the business owner? Decide for yourself whether his statement is true by looking at the attached image containing excerpts from four separate emails to Matt in the days immediately following our return from vacation, where we directly and repeatedly asked for a refund. In my initial review, I indicated that the business owner is not truthful, and in his response, he has proven me right.

This is a great group of people who will provide great care for your cat(s). In the intake meeting, it became very clear the owner of the company developed a quick connection with my cats, then his follow up was fabulous. Can't recommend enough.

My vacation was *way* more enjoyable knowing that our cat was well taken care of. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and Matt visited twice a day to give her insulin, food, and love. We'll definitely be using these guys again next time we leave town!

I was a client of Creature Comforts in 2018, well, my cat was ;) Have since moved overseas, luckily my city has similar services, just not as high quality. Matthew and my kitty bonded instantly, he always sent pictures, and was readily available by text, phone, and email. Happy to have a sitter over here, but miss the quality of Creature Comforts.

I moved to Seattle earlier this year from Florida, and had to go back for two weeks to tie up some loose ends. Didn't want to take my cat Scout with me, Creature Comforts was recommended to me by another sitter that doesn't cover my area. Matthew answered the phone, was personable, and everything was set up quickly. Scout really took to him, and Matthew sent a photo every day, and two videos of Scout playing with his favorite string toy :) Highly recommended!!!

Needed a kitty sitter for my cat back in August, and called Creature Comforts of Seattle after seeing really good reviews. Matt was really friendly and put me at ease, as I hadn't used a cat sitter before. The meet and greet went well, my cat (Henry) warmed up quickly. Everything went great during the trip, I got updates daily and was really happy. Will definitely use again!

Great overall experience. Matt provided daily updates on my cats and accommodated a last minute request for an additional visit near the end of my trip. Their litter box was clean when I got back home and the cats were happy, not at all stressed. Would definitely recommend Matt's service and work with him again.

If I'd realized Google had reviews. I would have left one long ago. I'm pleased with the care they take, their rates, their professionalism, and their availability. I have cat who needs medication, which is no bother for them. The litter boxes are always in good shape when I return, and water bowls are full. They're willing to open and close blinds and bring in the mail, too. After 2 years, I'm still very happy I found them.

Unethical and untrustworthy. DO NOT BOOK. I have cameras in my house, they allow me to check on my cat while I'm traveling. I was very clear where the cameras are located, Matt (owner) and Marla (contracted cat sitter) were both aware of them. Marla let me know she wasn't good with plants, but asked that I leave detailed instructions on their care. Noticing that the plants were dying after the first half of my trip, I watched on the camera to see how she was watering them. It was quickly obvious, she just didn't give them enough water. I sent a friendly text asking that she give them more water. She then proceeded to call Matt and spent the next 20 minutes cussing me out to him while still in my house. She called me neurotic (because I like my plants to stay alive? The ones she agreed to care for?) and every curse word available. I immediately called Matt and cancelled the rest of this trip. He couldn't understand why I was cancelling and said it was my fault & he's not responsible if my cat/fish/plants now die. I'm sorry, I don't feel comfortable having someone alone in my home who is that irrationally angry. Especially someone who had already admitted to me that she took pictures of the inside of my home and sent it to her friend. He then reminded me about how offensive it was that I had asked for a refund for the 2 days in February that I had booked Marla to care for my cat but she couldn't get to my house. I thought it was offensive to ask me to pay for a service that didn't get fulfilled, I was happy to pay for the days that she did come. BTW, he only refunded one of the days. UNETHICAL.

I am very happy with how well Matt looked after my cat when I was away for two weeks over the holidays. He was always quick to respond to emails and even sent some updates about my cat when he was looking after him. Everything (consultation, pet sitting, key return) went smoothly.

We have two cats, one taking a medication twice a day, and we have complete confidence in this pet sitting service. They are usually very responsive to requests, we can pay them electronically and you can ask to see pictures from every visit.

We were very happy with Matt's service. I am paranoid about my animal family, as many people are, and I have only used a handful of sitters in the past 20+ years. Having lost our previous sitter due to changes in her service area, we also really wanted to establish a new long-term relationship with a professional who would get to know our animals and their quirks. I was pleased with his responsiveness with emails and call backs within reasonable time frames. Unfortunately, we didn't have cell phone or texting service in our area which worried me, but I called him one evening and he actually answered the phone in person! :) We have two cats, two hamsters and four mice and I really appreciated his willingness to take on this menagerie. We will definitely use his services in the future. Reasonably priced too, although that was a secondary consideration for us. I also appreciated his calm demeanor. Thank you Matt!

Matt looked after my 4 female rats. I was gone for 12 days, and he came in every second day. I'm very happy with the service. I'll definitely make use of Creature Comforts Pet Sitting in the future. Hopefully next time I'll get a few more updates on how they're doing, and that the snacks/food packets are closed and not standing wide open :) other than that I'm really happy. My pets are healthy and they're looking good! Thank you Matt!
