We decided to switch veterinary offices since our previous office was in West Seattle. However, we didn't realize the level of care, patience, and attention that was missing from our last provider. Dr. Castor answered all of the questions we had regarding our cat and even spent time teaching us about various food options! We never felt rushed and our cat Momo even started to fall asleep on the window perch. I'm so glad we found an office that provides a safe and comfortable environment!

I took my senior boy here with what I suspected was arthritis as he had been limping for a few days. The vet surprised me by immediately checking his blood sugar levels. Turns out he is diabetic. Dr. Aimee sat with me for over an hour so we could come up with a treatment plan to manage both his diabetes and his cystitis. I also love their exam rooms. There's no exam table, the doctor got down on the floor, to cat level, to engage with him and examine him.

In a time when many veterinary clinics are closing or not able to accept new patients, it is wonderful to have a vet such as Aimee Castor who works long hours to respond to the clients for whom she has cared. Dr. Castor has cared for our two cats since they were kittens. She is wise in knowing what procedures are necessary to prevent disease as well as cure issues. We admire her professional integrity.

My cats are repeat patients of City Cat and each visit Dr. Castor and her team provide a platinum level of care. Dr. Castor is experienced advising on a broad range of illnesses, provides test results by email including thorough explanations of diagnoses, and answers follow up questions timely. One of my cats doesn’t like being examined and is extremely difficult to handle. Dr. Castor is patient and empathetic with him and is able to perform an exam/tests that other vets aren’t able to accomplish. I highly recommend Dr. Castor and her team to those considering a visit. She is the best vet I’ve come across in the Seattle area.

We brought our new get in for a checkup. City Cat did a thorough check of our cat and gave us a clear explanation of their results and some great resources on improving her food. Plus some free all natural nip.

We have been taking our two Siberian Forest cats here from their first check over/vacinnations after picking them up from our breeder. The techs and veterinarian are all very calm and obviously love cats. The clinic is beautifully arranged from an old house to allow comfortable spaces in the exam rooms where the cats have a chance to relax and explore. Going to a place where they exclusively treat cats is so much less stressful for our kitties, and gives me greater confidence in the veterinarians depth of knowledge related to the unique health issues they might have.

If you have a shy cat who is traumatized by traveling by car, they come to you. They put my cat at ease right away. I reccomend!

Dr. Caster is great with cats, and my wife and I love that she only sees cats. She did a great job taking care of a beloved member of our family.

They take really great care of my cat! I love how they're focused only on cats, and so I feel like my cat gets the best care here. It also feels really homey and cozy.

Dr. Caster at City Cat Vet is amazing. The amount of compassionate care she provides is unmatched. I feel that my cat is getting excellent care with her and I've never felt pressured into care/procedures that weren't paramount.

Dr. Aimee is so great with my two cats. You can tell she really cares. City Cat also does house calls.

If you love your kitties, book with this clinic and you won't go anywhere else. Hades has always disliked vets and visiting vets. Dr. Castor and her assistant did a home visit and they were very courteous and gentle with him. That was the best I've ever seen him behave with any vet. They were very informative and efficient with the exam/vaccinations. They love cats and understand them. They even played a little with our roommates dog and gave my kitties a catnip toy that they love.

Extremely friendly and down to earth cat clinic with gentle and professional staff. The rooms have padded window seats overlooking a green backyard to help calm nervous pets and no dogs are allowed in or on the premises. If you need x-rays done they have a referral agreement with Urban Animal that allows you to waive the examination fee. You can have meds delivered in 3-5 business days or you can pick them up at their secure lockbox. From the gentle care to the referral and delivery options, I would highly recommend this clinic for your feline friends.

Absolutely fantastic service and care. Our two cats were both adopted from shelters, and are very scared. Having the vet come to your home has made out lives so much easier!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I moved to Seattle from Colorado with an older cat (18 when I moved, 20 by the time I took him to City Cat) and I have had the worst time with vets. I won't go on any rants here, but suffice it to say, it was really traumatic for both myself and my cat. However, it finally got to the point I needed to put my wonderful cat to sleep. I opted for the closest to my house, City Cat, out of convenience but I cannot believe how grateful I am that was the case. I wish a thousand times I had taken him there in the first place. It's a beautiful house, that feels warms and inviting right away. Every single person there was above and beyond compassionate in such a genuine way, it was as if I'd just gone to a friends house, instead of a "clinic". They let me bring my friends and were so incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, from beginning to end. We had a beautiful room, filled with sunlight and air conditioning (it was a very hot day). They were so gentle and explained everything and it was so peaceful... I have no words to tell you the depth of my gratitude for each and every person there who helped me and my cat. On a less depressive note, I would like to say aside from that service, I am sure they are the best vets in Seattle, even for your healthy pet!! They truly listen and care, and the environment is so soothing for both you and your cat. Prices where the best I have seen. And I had been shopping around. Who knew the easiest was the closest. But I would travel miles to see them as well. Don't let me tell you, just give a call and I guarantee that you will know right away, like I did, this is the best place in the world for your cat.

Thank you for NOT declawing cats. People need to be more informed about ths painful, barbaric and unnecessary practice. I applaud you.

City Cat helped my mom and I as our ailing 16 year old tortie came down with chronic renal disease, then a heart problem, and finally a neurological problem that led us to the heart-wrenching decision of putting her to sleep. I have been blessed to have had many cats in my life, but never so blessed until now to find such an extraordinary and exceptional place for veterinary care. The entire “house” is designed for a cat’s comfort—from the perched on the window sills, to the toys in the rooms, to the general serene ambiance of the place. Dr. Castor clearly has an exceptional knowledge of and relationship with cats—she’s gentle and quiet and gets down on the floor to their level to create a non-threatening space for them. She’s equally good with the humans involved—answering difficult questions and doing her best to try to help the cat enjoy a good quality of life until that is no longer possible. And when it is not? She and her team provided the sweetest, most loving pain-free passage for our cat as possible. As hard as it was to let go, they let us know we were doing the best possible for her. On top of everything, they sent us a handwritten card, and provided the sweetest cast print of our cats paw that you could possibly imagine. We donated a lot of the specialty food and medication back to them and they were able to share it with their low-income clients, further helping us to heal. I plan to be one of those people who visits Winston, the clinic cat, whenever possible, because he’s a doll and these people feel good to be around. They’re simply the best. And I promise you, I am not exaggerating. If you want the best for your cat, this is the place to go. Thank you, Cat City! ❤️????

Dr. Castor really explained to me what was going on with Wookie without making me feel like a bad cat mom. I can now identify behavior and other symptims before the problem gets out of hand again. She explained why she perscibed certain drugs and what to expect after the treatment. And of course she followed up with a catnip treat for Wookie! If you have a cat why go to another vet that works on all animals when you can have a cat specialist?!?!?

The vet, Aimee, is wonderful. Super gentle and caring with your cat, and very patient in explaining various approaches and what the current research says. She's a cat lover, it's very clear. Highly recommend this place.

I don't know of any other clinic where the examine rooms are soothing and quaint, perfect for your cat to explore and loose some fear. Dr. Castor and all the technicians were so friendly and caring. Their advice was thoughtful and unhurried.

Sebastian has been a patient at City Cat for several years and we couldn't ask for better care, kinder practitioners and superb service. We do in home visits for all of Seb's care and we couldn't be happier.
