The best pet care in the area. We started using Horse Cart 15 years ago. Absolutely no reason to go or look anywhere else. Excellent care, customer service and affordable.

I absolutely love bringing my pups to Horsecartvet and Animal Hospital. They always seem to have an opening for my pups. They keep costs in mind and are great about telling me the cost up front and how I might be able to save money. They are responsive when I leave a message, or email. Deb has seen my pups since we got them - they are 8 and 5.

I tried to make an appointment for my dying dog a few weeks back and had no luck. I called early in the morning thinking they would be able to get him in to euthanize him. He had been in about a year ago for a hard and bloating stomach and they thought he was constipated. They recommend a few other emergency vets which I had no luck getting him in. I called them back since they had been my vet since 2017. I was very upset and concerned for my dog. I did say ONE bad word to the young office manager, due to her lack of compassion. I just had another dog in a couple of days before to get her teeth cleaned and they were supposed to do a follow up call to see how he was doing and I never received the call. I finally got him into Gig Harbor vet and he had a large mass in his stomach that had attached itself to his organs. They did euthanize him. ☹

Had an appointment Monday that were going to be a bit late for, called ahead to let them know and they made us reschedule for Tuesday. Then Tuesday when we rescheduled the appointment they were 25 minutes late after check in to come get the pup for vaccines and microchip. Tech tried to tell us we had no appointment for the previous day. Service has gone very far down hill. Staff were rude. Got the vet records and headed to another vet, will not go to this one again! Do NOT recommend!

Been going to horse cart for many years. They've always been wonderful and very good with all of my fur babies.

During our recent visit, I was very impressed with Horse Cart Small Animal Hospital. The doctor actually came out to talk to me, and spent TIME with me! She asked what type of training I planned to pursue with my puppy and followed up with some contact suggestions for classes. The staff were friendly and made my puppy feel comfortable during his visit. Our appointment was on time and our pup was seen immediately. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

HorseCart's front office staff is what impressed me the first time I contacted them for care of my new dog. Specifically Christie. She was kind, patient, understanding, & caring. She also was very informative about all their procedures. At my appointment I met both Heidi & Dr. Ben Latham. Again, they took the time to answer all my questions, & put my mind at ease; they mind & caring with my dog, Enzo. Edit: Changed my rating from a 5 to a 1. For the last year or so they are scheduled weeks out, they don't return calls, and I've sat in the parking lot and on hold for what seems like forever. Today I was hoping for an appointment in the next week. My pit has a thorn or something stuck in one of his pads and he won't let me touch it. The receptionist said the next appointment is 3 weeks out. I asked her what I should do until then and she recommended I call around to other vets or take him to an emergency vet. I'll take her advise and find another vet. Great staff. Loved the doctor. Scheduling was flexible. Really glad we landed here.

I jus got a dog from a litter of pups. The vet was great and we live in aberdeen and I might start with them the price and intellectual value is un beatable.

I am very picky when it comes to care of my animal companions. I love, love, love the vets and staff at Horse Cart Animal Hospital!!! Always polite, always professional, and always supportive. And very kind and patient with my animals. When I had to have my GSD euthanized last year (after having 8 extra months with him because of their prescribed course of care, which I didn't think I'd get), they were absolutely awesome with me, him, and my crew to give him a peaceful passing with his pack in the room, and never rushed us while I laid on the floor with him while he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and bawled my eyes out. I will never forget their kindness. And they always provide an estimate before treatment with an eye toward conservative treatment and keeping the bill as low as they can. Even my roommates now take their cats to Horse Cart! I will never take my animals elsewhere. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!! Hook yourself and your fur babies up with the best care around and bring them here!!! You won't regret it and neither will they...

The best fur doctors and staff around. They truly love their patients and humans. Always available, knowledgeable, and concerned.

They were my vet for 10 years. I called them because my cat was very sick. They wouldn't make an appointment for her. They told me I had to wait for a cancellation. Yelm Veterinary hospital told me to come up sit in the parking lot and they would fit us in between appointments. By then my cat had to be put down. I wouldn't take my family members to Horse and Cart in McKenna..... So disappointed in the way they handle this.

Drove all the way down to Horse Cart to get my kitten neutered. The nurse and doctors were very nice over the phone. They kept in touch with me throughout my kittens surgery and were clear on most instructions. Highly recommend!

I have been frustrated over years trying to find a caring, reasonable veterinarian. My daughter since she was a child has been a magical caregiver to animals. She just turned 18 and I asked her, where do you take your pets. She told me, then I thought,...you drive an hour to your vet. I first went to their website. I knew right away that these people by far excell beyond any pet health services. They have a stellar staff. What struck me is their deep compassion for animals and they are also sensitive to owners concern and anxieties. It struck my heart to hear that they have a a foundation to raise money for those who may not be able to pay. I am a caregiver for elderly and disabled I know that often times, for them, thos is the only friend or companion they have. If a companion gets sick they are devestated. Thank you for being a beacon of hope for our pets,.. and giving back to the community, elderly, and disadvantaged. I felt up lifted by the experience. Highly professional and kind. My dog actually got back in the car smiling. See you next time!
