I don't typically write reviews but I feel compelled to share my positive experience. Dr. Jessica McAfee went above and beyond to help transition Kiki, my lifelong companion and dearest friend for 19 years. Even when Kiki uncharacteristically hissed, Jessica showed immense grace, empathy, and humor, calling it a mighty roar. I won't ever forget that moment. I also appreciated the detail to which she and Mike explained the procedure beforehand, and their obvious care for Kiki and my experience in this process. Eternal thanks for showing up in the way you both did.

It has taken me a long time to write this review, mostly because I'm not sure how to describe the magnitude of my gratitude in words. My beloved dog, Roxy, got sick very suddenly last summer due to a congenital neurological issue. After we exhausted all options to save her, I found Peaceful Pet Transitions online while searching for an in-home euthanasia service. I was adamant that my precious girl was not going to die at a vet clinic. Mike was extremely helpful and responsive, and I was able to schedule an appointment the next day, on the Labor Day holiday. On her final day, I was a wreck and was not ready to say goodbye. When Dr. Jessica arrived, I was holding Roxy in the backyard, and I asked for her advice. She calmly and respectfully described the process to me and my family. The sun was shining and my sweet girl fell asleep in my arms. I gave Dr. Jessica the go-ahead to start the process. Roxy transitioned without any fear or any pain, thanks to this wonderful doctor. She never rushed us and allowed each one of us to say our goodbyes. Although it was one of my hardest days, Peaceful Pet Transitions gave my girl the best send-off she could have. I am eternally grateful and wholeheartedly recommend.

I have nothing but good to say. They were amazingly comprehensive, sensitive, gracious and gentle. They made a super difficult day into something that felt like a noble and memorable event through their respect and graciousness.

There are no words to describe how grateful I am to Jessica and her team for how they helped me during a very difficult time. Jessica was so kind and patient, taking the time to explain everything to me and showing great compassion to my sweet kitty who had been a part of my life for so long. At no point did I feel rushed or uncomfortable with what was happening. It was such a great gift to have her help Sadie over the rainbow bridge. I highly recommend their services.

Jessica was so supportive, kind, and compassionate. She was so patient with us and cried with us. She is truly an angel sent to help us with this heartbreaking time of letting go of our dear Abbie. Thank you Jessica and to the wonderful people that will honor Abbie on the Chiwawa River.

Dr Jessica helped our beloved dog Chewie in his last moments. She clearly and compassionately explained every part of the steps and Chewie drifted off peacefully. We are so grateful for the time she took, never in a rush. Thank you so much Jessica.

I am so grateful to Dr. McAfee and Mike. These humans are truly compassionate, professional, patient, informative, and overall so kind. They were even flexible with us when something came up and we had to reschedule our appointment. Having to euthanize my poor sweet cat was hard in itself, so I can't stress enough how important it was that PPT made it as comfortable as possible. Dr. McAfee explained everything to us beforehand, so there was no mystery as to how the process would go. Also, it didn't feel rushed at all - she assured us that they schedule a lot of padding between appointments. She gave us all the time and distance we needed to sit with him and cry and grieve. I got to say goodbye to my boy the right way. Thank you so much, PPT, for all that you do.

Words can't even begin to describe the amount of gratitude I have for Dr. Jessica and Mike. From beginning to end of my interaction with PPT, Mike was responsive and very timely. He texted me back very early in the morning during my time of crisis and confusion, and was extremely informative and flexible with my family and our schedule. Dr. Jessica is a walking angel, doing a job that is surrounded by difficulty and sadness. She has a poise and grace about her that makes the entire process so peaceful and hassle free. I cannot praise her enough for her hand in the entire end of life transition for my beloved Lucy, and the level of patience as the family moved in and out of the room finalizing all the little details. This truly made the experience peaceful and comfortable and that brings me a shred of joy in such a distressing time. Thank you thank you thank you

If you're in the unfortunate position of having to say goodbye to a beloved family pet, I highly recommend the services of Peaceful Pet Transitions. Dr. McAfee and Mike responded quickly to my call and answered all my questions. After arriving at our home, Dr. McAfee thoroughly explained the process and was so gentle and caring with our dog, Aggie. Having them come to our home made everything so much easier and truly peaceful. An added benefit, is that they work directly with Resting Waters (aquamation).

My wife and I were having an extremely difficult time making a very hard decision as our cat had an unexpected and rapid decline. For anyone second guessing their choice, the quality of life assessment was well worth it for our peace of mind when making our ultimate decision. Not having to stress our cat out (didn't have to put her back into a carrier one last time) made her transition as calm as possible.

Dr. Jessica and Mike were the most wonderful team to have during our grief from anticipating Chief's passing. They cared about his comfort, presented our options, and then they helped us say goodbye in the most serene and peaceful way. It was a sad goodbye that they made much easier on us all.

My husband and I had to make the very difficult decision to say goodbye to our sweet English Bull Terrier, Dublin. He hated the vet, and we didn't want his last moments to be spent in anxiety and panic, so we chose to go with the services offered by Peaceful Pet Transitions in our home. Dr. Carlyn and Mike were so warm and genuinely compassionate about our grief during the process. They were incredibly professional and outlined the whole process in a gentle, caring manner, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to say goodbye to our buddy. If you have to make the decision, and are in the position to use their services, I truly can't recommend them enough.

Where do I start? Dr. Jessica is the most empathetic animal health care professional I've met -- and this is in an industry where this trait runs rampant. Our baby dog (a 16 year old Labradoodle) took a somewhat sudden turn for the worst over the Christmas holidays. We knew we couldn't wait much longer. Despite the climate of covid and the New Years Day holiday, Dr. Jessica and her business partner, Mike, make the process as seamless as could be -- something I'm so very grateful for given the extreme stress given the circumstances. You can tell Dr. Jessica has been a pet owner herself. She gets what you're going through. She gives you the space and time to grieve and say your ever-so-painful goodbyes. In the most gentle, soothing voice, she explained how everything would work. She explained how our little angel-face would feel. And when it came time, I honestly barely noticed she was there as I booped my baby dog one last time, told him that he was the best boy ever, how much I loved him, and how good he had been to me. This may not sound like a compliment, but expressing emotion in front of people is tough -- I felt free to express to Scooter how much I loved him, and thank him for everything he had done for me. Thank you so much.

I so highly recommend Peaceful Pets. Jessica was the most kind, gentle person both with us and our doggie, which was exactly what we needed. Our sweet dog passed away in comfort at home in a truly peaceful way. We are heartbroken to not have her but are so thankful that Peaceful Pet helped us make this as easy as such a difficult thing can be. Mike was great with the arrangements and everything was clear and handled so respectfully. Thank you Jessica and Mike for everything you did for our family.

Our girl was going downhill fast and I was out of town. We were able to schedule them to come to our house about an hour after I arrived from the airport so I could spend time with her. They were kind, considerate and made it a peaceful passing for her and for us and I am forever grateful to them for that.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jessica and Mike for their sincere compassion in the invaluable service they provide. Purely professional, kind and loving. Dr. Jessica explained all aspects of the process so we had a complete understanding and knew it was the right decision. We had to let our beloved Syd go and she was at home, peaceful and comfortable, knowing how much she was loved. We cannot thank them enough or offer high enough praise for their love in action, helping us make this transition possible for Syd.

I had to put my beloved fur baby down yesterday and Peaceful Transitions were fantastic! My fur baby was let go from this earthly dwelling in the most compassionate, empathetic way, though I'm feeling alone right now in the worst time possible

We had the best experience with Dr. Jessica and Mike. I would highly recommend their services. Our old girl Peyton hated car rides and going to the vet so we didn't want her last moments being spent in an anxious state. They came to our house, fully explained the process and allowed Peyton to relax before starting the procedure. It was also much better for us to be home and not in public as this is never a fun experience. Also very safe COVID measures for those concerned about that. Thank you again Peaceful Pet Transitions!

I recently had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my 17 year old dog Gertie. This was my first time and I was alone during this process and had no idea how to go about it. Mike was excellent with the communication and Dr Jessica McAfee who came to my house was incredible. I really appreciate the time she took to reassure me that I was making the right decision for Gertie, explain the process, and the grief counseling she gave. There is a lot of emotions involved and I had feelings of guilt, sadness, loss, heartbreak, and many others. Jessica was very patient and helped me by explaining that those feelings are natural and how to seek further info for my grieving. She let me take my time to cry and say goodbye at my own pace. Gertie drifted off peacefully and comfortably in her own bed with me by her side instead of being stressed out at a clinic. It was one of the hardest days of my life but Jessica’s caring professionalism made the experience much better than I thought it would be.

Jessica and Mike made my cat's death such a peaceful and positive experience. I really mean that; of course I'm sad and of course I miss him, but their service made his death feel very gentle and loving. I will be forever grateful to them for that. They also sent a condolence card in the mail, which is such a lovely gesture. I only wish I had found them sooner for palliative and hospice care.

I cannot say enough good things about Peaceful Pet Transitions. Maverick, our beloved dog of 14 years was one in a million. I am sure many people have thought this about their pet also, but some pets just transcend the word pet. Maverick was one of those. Maverick had developed an aggressive cancer and it was time to say goodbye. We considered the options and after speaking to Mike at Peaceful Pet Transitions, decided to do an in home euthanasia. Jessica was very compassionate and caring. She completely understood and respected how we felt and helped us through a most difficult time. There was no pain and no panic. In the past, I have had some unpleasant experiences with Veterinarian clinics who did not understand how difficult this can be. My lasting memory from these experiences is a very frightened and panicked animal laying on a steel table. I highly recommend Peaceful Pet Transitions. My hope is that for those who choose or for some reason must take their pet to a local clinic that these clinics make some changes to make the passing easier. We are still grieving and the loss is much more than we anticipated but at least we do not have the guilt of putting Maverick through a horrible experience at the end. This is what our beloved Maverick deserved and what we needed. My family is eternally grateful to Jessica and Mike for providing this service.

Peaceful Pet Transition treated our kitty with in-home hospice care and, when it was time, gave her as comfortable an end of life as could be hoped for. They were great -- they spent a lot of time with us talking through what was going on with our cat and listening closely to us with compassion. They were able to make her much more comfortable -- in our case, our cat had an extra 4 months without the pain she was going through prior to their help. When it was finally time to have her put down, they came to our house despite a snowstorm and very carefully and thoughtfully helped us through the process. It really made an awful part of our lives so much better and easier, especially since our cat could pass on comfortably at home and not be stressed out with a car ride going to an unknown place. I could not recommend them enough.

A bit more expensive than a regular vet, but worth it. Very gentle and easy process. They were super respectful and took care of everything for us. So nice to not have to load our old dog up in the car to go to the vet. We had a very nice last day with him at home.

Simba was such a loved dog and after only 5 years his kidneys failed. I would not recommend any one else to do the service Peaceful Pet Transitions provided. He was cared for and the staff was professional and courteous with him; as well as respecting him and giving us plenty of time to say our goodbyes. Thank you so much for providing the closure I needed.

Peaceful Pet Transitions is their name and represents exactly what they do. I can't speak any more highly about Dr. McAfee and Mike. My beloved standard poodle Bridgette started failing rapidly after a month of illness at home, and they …

It is so hard to explain the gratitude we have to Dr. Jessica McAfee and her assistant, Mike for the compassionate care they gave our son and his beloved dog. They were very professional and gave good information and expert care. So gentle and kind! We knew Erebus was suffering greatly and still the decision to euthanize her was very difficult. Taking her on a car ride (which she hated) and to a vet office (which always made her anxious) would have only made this difficult decision even more stressful than it was. My son was able to hold his sweet companion through the entire procedure. Every part of it was calm and peaceful. Thank you so very much!

So grateful that we learned about Peaceful Pet Transitions during one of the hardest times of our lives - when our 9.5 year old Rotten Lab was diagnosed with bone cancer. Having Dr. McAfee come to our home and assess his condition/qualify of life and explore options with us was invaluable. The team was so caring and gentle, making the experience of saying goodbye to our baby so special to us. The name truly speaks for itself - it was indeed a peaceful transition for our Buddy! We were heart-broken to have to say goodbye but were grateful for the way it happened - in our home, on his favorite couch, in our lap, eating his last piece of steak. Thank you Dr. McAfee and team for providing such a wonderful service to pet parents! Buddy - we love you and miss you!

Months ago I had to put my kitty down. I used to work at a vet myself, and I knew I didn't want to do it at my cat's least favorite place. I am so glad that i called Peaceful pet transitions. They were so loving and it couldn't have gone easier.
