Banfield has been more than helpful when dealing with my needy pet. They always call the next day to check on sick pet. They also accommodate us as much as possible when we need to be seen in an emergency situation. I feel very sure my pet is getting the best possible care. Thank u Banfield!

They always take such good care. Quick and convenient location - insurance plans are good priced and offer great benefits.

We appreciate the friendly, efficient staff and Dr. Haines is a wonderful, caring doctor who always makes time to patiently answer questions.

If you drop off 10mins early they charge additional. So hold your pets next to the door wait for the min come. This never happens in other location.

The staff here are too busy, and don't take time to address questions. They are too busy to schedule another appointment (telling me to call them later). You never get to speak to a vet. If my pet was actually sick, I don't think they'd have the time or motivation to help. I'm not sure why I pay for the subscription / insurance. I probably will cancel.

i took my cat here to get shots. covid protocols were followed which meant i didn't come back into the room with him, i only dropped off, waited in the car, and picked him back up. my vet called me on the phone and was both kind and direct, really professional! front desk staff were also all helpful. it was all as smooth and quick as it could have been.

I have been on the Banfield Optimum Wellness Plan (the Cadillac tier) for the past 3 years. We loved our Banfield Hospital in Colorado, so after moving here we just continued visiting this one which is the closest place to home. However, somehow over the past year we have had the misfortune of dealing with a mostly callous staff. Never before have I submitted feedback to Banfield (using the survey code on the discharge papers) about how bad the service was. Case in point: In January 2021, our dog was attacked by the neighbor's big dog, underwent surgery at the Banfield Renton to stitch 10+ wounds and was sent home with minimal pain-killers. For 2 days she whimpered in pain as I struggled to convince the front desk person over phone to see a doctor and increase her pain meds. I finally showed up in person, my dog in my arms and refused to leave my spot till the front desk person called the doctor (she was insisting on giving me an appointment for 3 days later!) Whatever happened to customer service. :-( This is not a one-off either: today I was unhappy with the "always 4 days out appointment availability" to schedule a visit and grumbled if I should have moved to VCA instead of renewing my Banfield membership. The front desk person Kaylee recommended that I do so right away. I'm done. I will take Kaylee's advice and seriously look into cancelling my Banfield membership over the next week. UPDATE (as of 5/24/21): I heard from the Banfield Customer Support Team (that replied below) on 5/6/21, asking for details on the incident. I complied on 5/7/21, as this was supposed to be forwarded to the team that oversees the location - for internal review.. However, there has been radio silence since then.

As far as a veterinarian hospital goes - they are fine. They've done a good job treating my dogs. Their Wellness plans - as long as you take advantage of their coverage - is the way to go. My biggest complaint is their customer service involving the phone. They don't have enough people working the front desk to be able to process pets in and out AND answer the phone too. I know that when I call, I will either be put on hold or they don't answer at all and I get a system voice-mail. Typically though, I've been put on hold. One day I decided to see how long it would take them to pick up. After 18 minutes, the phone rang back (a ridiculous amount of time for a ring-back) and they answered it and requested to put me on hold again. I said ok, so as to continue this experiment. 18 minutes later, the phone rang back again, only this time, the phone went to voice-mail. Phone calls should be interspersed with customers. It's ok to tell a customer to please hang on while the call that has been on hold is answered. They prioritize in-person customers over phone calls. Makes me wonder why they even have a phone system.

Looking for a good vet is way more difficult than I thought it would be in Washington. Taken my dog here once. It was alright. The people at the desk were more helpful than the actual vet though. Service wasn't terrible though so I thought I'd try them again since my dog played a bit too hard at daycare and developed a limp. Apparently you're not that interested in making new clients though because when I called the person answered the phone and immediately hung up. Said nothing. Just picked it up and set it back down. It's okay if you're busy, but the polite thing to do would be to say "Hey, sorry, could you call back later?" especially since you weren't busy enough to not be able to get to the phone. Prices are okay. Vet my dog saw wasn't the best as actually listening to anything I said. Just pushed a ton of expensive products onto me the moment she found out he has epilepsy. The two men I talked to at the desk were great though. Had so much helpful info to share, most of which the vet said nothing about. Really though, for how much they charge I'm sure you can find better service somewhere else.

I've been bringing my dog here for the past 8 years and with my most recent experience, I will never bring my dog to any Banfield again in her lifetime. Google wouldn't allow me to post my first review- so this is all I'm going to say.

I feel like I was forced in to surrendering my dog. Like they were not trying to even work with me. Today is my husband birthday and we already was being slap by other unfortunate situations. Now my BEST FRIEND IS GONE AND MY HEART IS HURTING! I feel like it I was white I would have been giving more options more help. Sorry but that’s how I feel. Pre judged!!

They did a thorough checkup for my cat, I had been to other vets for the same issue and this is the first vet that was able to provide a solution for my cat's problems. Thanks Banfield, he's slowly getting better. : )

Our dog had to be put down so, unfortunately, our experience here wasn't a happy one, but the doctor was very nice and sensitive to our situation. Everything was handled professionally and with care. There wasn't any rush to get us in and out. We were able to take our time spending our last moments with our furry little family member and we appreciated it.

I have had nothing but a good experience with my kitten here. All the staff has been very attentive and professional but also very laid back and helpful. This location is located inside of pet smart at the landing in Renton

I would never ever ever recommend this place to anyone. They have lied to us over and over and over again. At first they did not go over the treatment plan at drop off, or the invoice at pick up. Told me to my face that yes they actually did. They did xrays and a surgery and the doctor never once spoke to us. We managed to get a few things explained when we went in to ask about it, but the information we got was second hand and not entirely factual. We continued to ask for the doctor to speak with us about the xrays and were told that she already had. We were told this multiple times even tho the doctor never called. Most recently we were told the doctor left a message and they did not! I have never been lied to for no reason like this. They clearly do not care about your pets. Do not go here.

So disappointed in this vet clinic. My service animal took a turn for the worse and I called Banfield begging for their help so she wouldn't suffer any longer. I kept getting the same answer that the practice manager would call me... 3 weeks later I still have not received a call from the practice manager. I found Blue Pearl Veterinary services and they got her in ASAP. it's been a week and 4 days since Devine was finally able to be at peace and no more suffering. I would never recommend that practice.

I've been to Banfield 3 times and every time I've had some kind of negative experience. This last time I was trying to get the american airlines papers signed (proof of rabies) so my emotional support dog could fly. Even though banfield gave her the rabies shot she refused to fill out the paper work for American airlines. She insisted on giving me a "travel letter" which cost a lot more just so she could charge me more money.. I DO NOT TRUST taking my dog here anymore, I gave them 3 chances to prove themselves and they are more interested in making money than my dog! I called another vet (tigard animal hospital) and they filled the paper work out for me so we could fly, im in San diego as im typing this ????????????
