VCA Redwood Animal Hospital Redmond, Washington

First visit Nice vet as many other they tried to up sell us on a few items. But, went in knowing that. The pup got great care. We finally left not because we got poor care. But, because every time we found a vet there we really liked they would leave in a few months. So we followed them to their new clinic.

Called in advance and they guided me through all the options without pushing for additional unnecessary tests. I really appreciated the candid and honest opinions of the veterinarian on staff and they gave me back my ease of mind about the well being of my cat.

Have a new pup (Niko) and this place has been great so far for his vaccinations! The staff is awesome, friendly and very informative. They provide all the vet plans with no pressure to subscribe which I appreciate and lay it out if it would make sense for you which I appreciated! Dr. Hui (she's AWESOME and super smart) has been treating Niko with his shots and vaccines, and has been great with my concerns and questions I have as a new pup owner. Highly recommend and Niko loves coming here! (I kid you not, he's in a great mood after leaving here which is strange for a pup getting shots...speaks for the place!)

They keep trying to sell me expensive treatments that I've revised previously, and the last doctor I saw didn'tseem to have looked at my dog's history at all.

My dog recently had a traumatic fall and Dr. West and her staff made me feel heard and took quick action to save my pup. They explained and called for updates while she was there, and then called everyday until she was doing better. I drive across town for their care, compassion, and patience.

Our sweet 11-year old German short-hair pointer developed bleeding tumors in her abdomen and went down hill quickly. We needed to put her down to end her suffering. Our vet would not allow us to be with our dog due to COVID - we were expected to simply hand her off at the door. We made some phone calls and learned that VCA Redwood Animal Hospital would allow us to be with our dog. There was a separate entrance from the parking lot that led directly into the room. Our family wore masks and gloves. Dr. Lehocky was so compassionate with Lulu and us - even though we had never been there before and he had never met our dog. We were not rushed and Dr. Lehocky took the time to explain everything to us. While it always heartbreaking to put down a beloved pet, I felt better knowing that Lulu was surrounded by those she loved and was treated with dignity and respect. Thank you so much!

The staff at Redwood VCA are absolutely TOP NOTCH!! From basic care to basic sincerity for the folks who lose their furry family members, you can't do better than the doctors and staff at VCA Redwood!

Love the vets but the administration has been incredibly poor. 1. While you pay monthly, it is a 1 year subscription and will auto renew regardless if you move away. (The email notification does not mention it is a 1 year auto renew and only mentions a monthly payment) 2. I was lied to. I was told I had to finish paying for care club to the end of the year in December in order to not receive a penalty but now that is changing to pay till June, the end of the subscription year. 3. Miscommunication. My dog received a shot with no notice that I needed to follow up to get a booster and then I found out I missed the window of opportunity and had to pay out of pocket to start the treatment again. 4. Charging me for extra tests that were not necessary in the first place. The theme is, lack of accountability and overall there is lots of miscommunication and lack of care resulting in me wasting money.

We love this place and highly recommend it to everyone!

Dr. Farmer and the staff we're very knowledgeable and kind and very helpful to us. Our baby girl was having major allergy issues and dr. Farmer and the staff took great care of her they were very pleasant and helpful! We greatly appreciate all you did.

Excellent. They've helped my pet through a number of issues, and catch things like the need for dental attention etc. Kind, respectful, listen etc.

I've been a customer here for years. They are friendly and knowledgeable, plus they always take good care of my pets.

My kitten had giardia and a UTI and I was battling with the insurance, so I asked Dr. Lehockey if he could help me with an appeal and he denied ever seeing my kitten even though his name was all over the paperwork and prescriptions. Then he accused me of asking him to lie. I will not be going back to this clinic.

We always have excellent care for our fur kids here. We have been coming here for years with our German shepherds and the cat. Always love and caring with the kids from staff and very helpful to us humans too.

I would recommend Dr. Abby Farmer at this place. We visited and the staff was very friendly.

Amazing! I would rate this place higher than 5 stars if there were an option. The whole staff was so friendly to us and our sweet cat, Jack. They answered all our questions and helped us feel safe and comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

The staff at this VCA location are wonderful, and make me always feel that my dog is appreciated and loved. They have great amenities like boarding and pharmacy pickup too. I will continue to go to this location even if I move further away because the whole team make it amazing.

Caring doctors. A bit expensive.

My experience with VCA was excellent. My cat had stones in his bladder, so he had surgery there. The Doctors were phenomenal and Staff was knowledgeable, professional and empathetic. The staff followed up with me, answered all of my questions. They also educated me on a new lifestyle for my cat for preventative care. My cat has been doing wonderful since and has a happy go lucky healthy life. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Best animal care on the Eastside and there is no second place! The Vets are beyond compare with any vet hospital on the Eastside. We've shopped around and paid the price emotionally with average to subpar care in other hospitals. We'll NEVER go anywhere else. Our fur baby deserves this exceptional level of care...❤????

Front desk is so rude

Super good service, doctor treated my cat like his own and let me know how much everything would cot before doing any treatments to my cat.

A week ago we sadly had to put our dog, Angel, down. This was the most difficult thing our family has ever had to do. Her family was there for the procedure, including the vet that took care of her most of her life, Jim Lahocky. If your vet sheds a tear for the last minutes of your dogs life, he or she truly is a phenomenal vet. Jim was there for most of Angels life, they became close, and Jim's "bedside" manner always comforted Angel, through cancer treatments, ear infections, and the little things we found ourselves visiting Redwood for, which were many. Jim gets right down in there at your pets level and makes them feel comfortable. You can talk to Jim, and even though Angel had the corner market on their friendship, I felt Jim was a friend too, and that relationship helped us give Angel the care she needed. When I didn't want to face the fact that Angel had led a good life and was ready to pass, it was Jim who I took counsel of when I needed a more level head. Our dogs health was always our families top priority and if there were any questions, I always new Jim had the knowledge to steer us in the right direction. All of the vets at Redwood are amazing. I recall one of the vets, Maria Baker, having to have her dog put down and it happened to be around the same time as Angel was diagnosed with Cancer. Maria eventually had to put her dog down, and she gave us insight into what we would have to eventually face should the disease take its course in our dogs life. All of them are amazing... if you question your current vet, consider Redwood. I can't help but mention the front desk here also. Through the years they were always professional and always found a way to get you in as quickly as they could. What made them go beyond the call of duty was the day we had to put Angel down we noticed that a few of them actually cried. Those are people who care. The Redwood family was our family. Supportive, loving, and in the end, the best place to have our beloved Angel cared for. Thank you all everything you have done.
