I had a hard time finding an exotic vet in the area but was recommended to Dr. Balderrama by a friend. I live in Port Townsend but it was well worth the drive and I’m now considering transferring my dogs to this clinic as well! My beardies first vet visit went really well and cost less than I expected, I felt like they were very thorough and Dr. Balderrama came out and spoke to me for quite a while (I’m sure his time is limited so I was very grateful for this!) he genuinely seems to care about the health of pets as well as continuing his own education to stay up to date with current recommendations, again a wonderful sign. All in all I’m so happy to have found this clinic and excited to have them on my baby’s team :) Thanks again CVAH!

When I adopted my cat a few years ago we took her here first because they had Saturday hours. Then we transferred to the Poulsbo Animal Clinic because they were so much closer. After a few visits though we switched back because the service was soooo much better at Central Valley! Recently my cat got sick and stopped eating. I took her here and the vet was quick and very nice. She had a serious problem, the vet gave me all my options, the prices, and what the options would mean for her. I opted to take her to the emergency and trauma center. The Central Valley vet called ahead and made arrangements for her, filled in their vet on her condition, and sent over her test results. In a stressful and anxious situation they were kind, transparent, and supportive. I'm not taking her anywhere else again.

Love this place! I mostly see Dr Lock and she's great with my anxious Great Dane, and my growly mixed breed. She's thorough and explains everything, and why she recommends things. The front end staff are great, and the technical staff are wonderful to my pets. All 4 of my animals went there until we moved. I've seen Dr Waters and Dr Balderrama and they were fantastic. Highly recommend

So disappointed!!!!! Used to be a great place, but need to add to the 1-star reviews—similar to mine-ripped off! Shocked! $120 bill for 15 min follow up appointment today. No clue it was going to cost that much! Thought maybe $40? Was told “I don’t set the prices,” by Dr. Lock, who could have asked Dr Waters, the owner-also there- to talk with me, but she just stood there. Obviously top priority is now $$$, also were unwilling to work out a payment plan. Then expected me to return in 2 weeks! THIS time I asked and was told it would only be $100! Seriously? I spent $550 two weeks ago for the first visit!!!!! In this economy, with the virus, most businesses are trying to help families not drain bank accounts. So sad to see the focus on profit instead of “affordable modern medicine “ as printed on the top of my invoice. Time to find a new vet and notify the BBB- total rip off!!!!

De. Lock and her staff were sooooo nice to me and my dog. They were able to schedule a dental exam and extraction surgery in the same day when no other vet would. This was perfect because my dog hates riding in the car. No surprise fees either!

My first experience was really wonderful . Front desk was very understanding and really helpful. Scheduled appointment to have my dog evaluated for some knee issue and have xrays. Xrays were not conclusive and additional testing was needed plus another set of xrays. Due to the nature of the injury I wanted the next appointment to be with the orthopedic vet owner as she does surgeries if needed. Called to confirm appt now and I asked if another set of xrays is really necessary because financially it’s hard to keep paying for X-rays twice. Well I waited 4 weeks for this appointment to be told now the dr does not do surgeries anymore and we can be referred to another clinic. Nobody called to tell me this ahead. I can’t help but feel this came up after I mentioned the financial aspect and was told by front desk there’s other clinics that can take care of my pet for less. Really? They did say they won’t charge for X-rays again. I never expected to have surgery for free. I simply questioned paying for X-rays twice. I will definitely pay if Im told my dog needs surgery! I’m sorry things ended this way I was actually happy thinking I found a great vet.

Front office staff are friendly and flexible, and Dr. Waters has been terrific, treating our dog like one of her own. This is a competent, friendly, humane practice and we feel fortunate to have found it.

Central Valley is amazing!!!! We have two English Bulldogs and the staff, especially Dr. Lock are fantastic and know all the ins and outs of this breed. The Staff there is so kind, knowledgeable and caring. 5 stars from Hootie and Pearl!! ????????

The reception desk in knowledgeable and animal nurses genuine. You see one of two veterinarians and both are exceptional. Your pet gets a personalized experience here, they remember your name when you walk-in the door.

They got to me for about $700 with no good results, said they could do more tests but that would cost an additional $800. I decided to get a second opinion from another clinic. They took tests that cost 1/4 of what Central Valley was going to charge me. The end result was my dog was sick with a Kidney disease, Cushing disease, real high Liver value, and Diabetes. I was told the Diabetes was controllable but the other problems were not, it would be best for her to put her to sleep. I feel central valleys goal was to sell me medications and take Test that were not necessary. I personally would never go there again.

Wonderful atmosphere and terrific front staff--very welcoming! And Dr. Waters is just the best! We brought our baby in because she had a ruptured ACL ligament. Dr. Waters did surgery to fix it, and not only is our fur-baby as good as new, Dr. Waters price is only HALF of what other vets around here charge for the same surgery! Our dog is back to running around like nothing happened. Also, we were able to get ahold of Dr. Waters on her day off with some questions; I've NEVER been able to get in touch with my previous vet on a day off. I just can't say enough good things about her and her staff. Anyone whose dog needs knee surgery, or anything else, THIS is the place to go. Kind, caring, compassionate, and amazing prices. Didn't think these kinds of vets existed anymore. True gem!!! Thank you so much, Dr. Waters and your staff!

We got there early by accident. Regardless, from when our appointment was scheduled we were there for an hour and a half. Unclear how much everything was going to cost and it ended up being expensive. Too long, too expensive. Nice staff but it was really limited time with the vet and information about our pets was given in an odd order, I felt it would have been important to know that we needed to come back 3 weeks later BEFORE getting their shots so we can make our plans accordingly. Lost my business

Dr. Waters is the best vet in the Kitsap area. She is compassionate, affordable, effective, and efficient. All the staff at the clinic are top notch. Emma had luxating patella surgery with Dr. Waters using the latest techniques 2 1/2 years ago and she has been able to run agility courses ever since her knee healed. The clinic never tries to up-sell you on products and procedures. Emma gets everything she needs from Central Valley plus TLC.

The people from the reception desk to the vets & nurses are true animal lovers. They can at times be busy so make sure you are earlier for your appointment. The first time make sure you go early as its on the road but too obvious. My GPS got me confused as I was right there. Never seems to work well in Mall parking lots. The only thing I have an issue with is they can be a bit pricey. But if you want to have someone who is skilled and well versed I'd spend the extra money to know that you done your best for your best friend.

Best care, best price for their care, best Doctors and staff! I love everything about this place. It started with a sick elderly cat who I ended up bringing here. That was the best decision. She was correctly diagnosed and cared for until I had to make the tough decision to let her go and the experience was made so much better because of this place. When I had to board her with meds as I travelled...I worried so much. When I returned I heard stories about Lisa, at the front desk, carrying Baby cat around and giving her lots of love. She was in good hands! My other kitty Pixie recently developed some issues with her bladder, crystals and a UTI. I took her to ER first and while she improved briefly due to pain meds...it wasn't until I could get an appointment with Dr. Liz that I saw immediate improvement with Pixie. Dr. Liz and her staff have always called it right with my cats, and done what needed to be done to help them feel comfortable as they were treated for whatever illness they had. I'm forever grateful for their great care and compassion. Sometimes you run into a veterinarian that feels like they nickel and dime you but that is not the case here. They are totally reasonable and I'm here to stay. Highly recommend them! Andrea, Lisa, Debbie and Tasha are staff members who have gone above and beyond to make me and my pets feel safe and comfortable.

I moved to Bremerton a year ago to take care of my aging parents. The stress of finding a new place to take care of my dog, was something I wasn't looking forward to. I was so blessed that I found Dr. Waters and her private practice. Her staff is very loving and warm when they check you in. They all understand what it's like to bring in a sick dog. Dr. Waters and her staff are very experienced and loving. I will never take my dog anywhere else. Thank you so much for the attention you pay to my dog

The staff is extremely friendly, the vets are somewhat knowledgeable, and the location is convenient. However, they were expensive when we started going there and have greatly increased prices since then. And they have refused to write prescriptions for medications that can be purchased elsewhere for less money (ex: Sentinel). Shop around.

My experience with Central Valley Animal Hospital was perfect. We went to the wrong door at first and the girl in there walked us down carrying our cat to the correct place for us. The girl behind the desk there was most helpful explaining to us about our first exam after adoption. The Tech took us back weighed Pretty Girl and took her vitals. The Vet came in and gave a very good exam to the cat. Explained everything thoroughly to us. They did blood tests and promised to call the next day with results and they followed through with their promise. Pretty Girl was constipated and we were told to put her on Miralax (1/4 tsp) daily until we could get her going. She is doing fine with that treatment. She has settled in with us and runs all over the house like and idiot. We were, once again, very pleased with our visit. They gave us a printed out treatment plan which is very helpful. I would say that they are a very good place to take your animals. WE will be returning with our follow up visits
