River City is the most amazing group of people. So caring, compassionate, and empathetic. I have a problematic dog and everyone here has been so amazing helping me take care of Sam. Thank you for being such amazing people!

I have come here for the past 15 years. Until our experience with Doctor Kyle. We were there to get an ultrasound for our pregnant dog and he would not allow either of us to be with our dog. Said they "had a lot going on back there". I wouldn't allow my child alone with medical staff, and I won't allow a young shifty doctor that gives zero good reason why I cannot be with my dog take my dog either. He was more concerned with changing my healthy dog's food to one he sells, and giving her vaccines and all the garbage he pedals. Gross. I can only imagine what's happening in the back he doesn't want you to see.

It won't let me see what I'm writing but this is the best vet clinic I've dealt with in years..thank you

We trust the Team RC, they are always helpful and have helped us with some difficult situations. We only go here! We have for over 18 years!

Great staff that are both kind and knowledgeable. They've helped educate us on how to care for our dog who has a lot of special medical needs.

My dog was beaten by a man who was later arrested, my dog was in bad shape. The girls that work here are super nice. They got a fundraiser going to get my dog's expenses paid up. That I cannot thank them enough for. There are a few bad reviews down on here that are kind of petty, because these people came through for me and my dog when I didn't ask them to I was prepared to pay for it and sue the guy who assaulted my dog. To me, that speaks volumes about the kind of people that run this animal hospital. I'll bring my dog here any time and I recommend other people do the same, your pet is in good hands.

The technicians and doctor here really talk about your pets as family members. They are always so nice and knowledgeable, answering any questions or concerns with care. In my experience, we have not been given medicines that weren't needed, and also were not overcharged for any services. Will continue to take all of our furry family members here in the future.

They lied about the cost of the vet visit. They told my family that it would be $400 to spay my dog and then when I picked her up they charged me $750. When I asked why they laughed and said sorry about the complications when there wasn't any. Very sad, we've been a customer for awhile now and the new owners have made me very disappointed.

It was great. Highly recommend. They have a process for contagious animals that I liked. It keeps the well animals safe. Every staff member was knowledgeable and polite.

They are great with my lab and inform you with what you need to have a healthy dog! The price was fair

We have been taking our animals to RCAH for about 10 years and we love everyone there! Everyone treats your animals like they are their own and I wouldn't dream of trusting any other clinic with our fur babies. ❤????

Wanted to try and find a nice place for my pup and thought Id give this place a try. The gal that took us in the back smashed my pups toe when she was opening the door to weigh her making my pup yelp then we waited for probably 10-15 minutes for the dr to come in and she was so rude. I was asking simple questions and she replied with snappy answers and acted like I was an idiot. This was for a new pup all over check up and shots and i was informed when i asked if they could look at something on her id be extra. . So not an all over new pup/client check?!?! Should of listened to what I heard about this place. Wont be going back

My senior boy collapsed in my yard and they were able to get my in within the hour when my regular vet could not. My dog passed away that day but River City did everything possible and I will be bringing my other dogs here from now on.

It was an easy smooth process even with the COVID 19 measures in place.

Caring doctors and nice facility for our beloved pets

I love River City Animal Hospital! I can't say enough about them. We have taken our dog, Windi, to them for about 6 years, the care they have given us has been wonderful, we recently had to put her down because of her hips. It was a very sad day! The were very kind and with Covid-19 going on it was crazy. When we had to go out of town we would board her at the clinic. Windi was always excited to go and stay. I will continue to take my cat and my new puppy. Thank you!

It's been a year since the devastation that this clinic caused my family & me, and I'm still barely ready to write this review. I write it now in hopes is that I can spare another family the same suffering. My dog had been staying with my mom while my family was making a cross country move. He became lethargic and wouldn't eat so I made a last minute trip (in the middle of packing our house) to see him myself. Within minutes I knew he wasn't my usual spunky boy who would have been thrilled to see me. He could barely lift his head. My mom uses this vet so I pleaded with them for a last minute appointment to get him evaluated. In the meantime, I contacted my normal vet and let them know what was happening. They happily contacted RCAH and spoke to Dr Luce personally to fill him in on my dog's medical history. It took Dr Luce about 15 minutes to even come into the room. He spoke incredibly quick, rambling off a bunch of medical jargon. He left the room multiple times and never once did any diagnostic tests on my dog. It was clear that he had no clue where to even start or that he wanted to even try to find out what was wrong with my dog. The last time he came into the room he said that since it was 5:00 on a Friday evening there was nothing he could do and suggested I take my dog to the emergency vet down the street. Ultimately I drove my dog 17 hours non-stop back home to my regular vet only to find out my dog had pancreatitis. We lost him a few days later. Perhaps if Dr Luce cared enough to do a few diagnostic tests my beloved boy could have lived more happy days. Dr Luce has no business being a veterinarian when he clearly has no idea how to handle an acute, emergent patient and cares more about getting off work on time than taking care of sick animals. Please reconsider seeking medical advice from a more knowledgeable, caring, and responsible veterinarian.

Very disappointed in their new policies. Been a patient for almost 20 years, and they couldn't give me an appointment for my dog for nearly a week because I had waited to see if it was a minor injury for 4 days. Had to find another veterinarian, turns out she had a partial tear of her AC ligament. So sad such good doctors don't seem to care about loyal customers.

Nice facility But staff seemed uneducated the veterinarian did not seem very personable Definitely not the best vet around. She did not realize that the kennel cough vaccine he had in the past was good for one year she had told me it was overdue by 6 months over and over, because they do intranasal vs oral. The vet assistant was standing there bored holding up on my dogs collar choking him instead of assisting the vet with his vaccines holding him properly.

Cares for your pet like it's their very own. I have taken all of my dogs there throughout their lives. Words cannot convey how outstanding these people are. They cared for my beagle for 13 years...puppy until death. When we had to finally put Laser down, they gave us a private room and every person on duty came by to check on us, each one telling us their favorite story about our baby. They made a payment print for us to keep and even sent a sympathy card signed by everyone. They REALLY care about their patients and families.
