The clinic did not do well for my pet when her needs became a little complex and they dispensed a medication for her that caused her harm. When I asked for a refund for the medication, they said they were not responsible for its effect on her. They also said that they are not expected to offer other medication options. Unfortunately, I no longer trust the clinic with the care of my pet.

I am so very glad to call Alpine Animal Hospital (specifically Dr. Bailey) my pups regular vet. Long story short, Dr. Bailey listened to all of my concerns about my rescue and made sure that his initial appointment was all about making sure he knows they’re not there to hurt him. After having a rough time with multiple UTIs, I feel that I can trust Alpine Animal Hospital and their staff to take care of my dog. Additionally, shout out to their amazing front desk team. My dog has a leash sleeve that says “Nervous Rescue” on it. Before I even came in, they made sure that the other dog in the lobby was on the other side to avoid any conflict. Truly some stellar staff.

My pets are not patients here, but my vet is closed and I was out of my doxies prescription pet food and Alpine provided me with enough to get me through the weekend. As they say, the best ability is availability and Alpine has that covered! Thank you so much for bailing me out!

I've been a client of Alpine for almost 20 years now. Have had all great experiences. In particular, Dr. Bailey is perfect - compassionate, practical, fair, professional, smart - everything you want in a vet!

Horrible customer service. Witnessed lady harassing people who use walkway by the business. Not a productive way to spend your day monitoring a walkway instead of taking care of the animals. I live very close to this facility and it's unfortunate staff is so antagonistic. Won't be coming back and will share my negative experience with neighborhood.

Alpine is the best vet office I have ever experienced. When our boxer was a puppy he had a few surprise medical issues and they were so kind and wonderful with their care. Our doctor even called us on a Sunday to check in to make sure he was doing better.

Horrible customer service, my dog was being treated and I walked outside for some air and was yelled at for walking on they're private path in the back that is not handicap accessible. I will never bring my animals here again. They blocked the path with a vehicle and made it so my handicapped mother had to walk all the way around. Spread the word these guys don't care about you... Edit: my elderly mother is the customer, hints why you can't find my name. I'll explain it in more detail since your so combative. We had a few hours to kill so I took her to Burger king right by you guys and as we were walking back we found that path. Instead of walking in the road we thought you'd surely allow paying customers to use the path, however thats not the case we were treated like criminals. The path had marks on it from a zero turn lawn mower. ( probably your yard service provider) Why build a path that you block, even for you own employees. I looked up Coeur d'Alene City code and even if you have a path that's private, since you're a business it needs to be handicapped-accessible for customers and employees. I'm pretty sure you're the one that yelled at me and my elderly mother. Since your such a wonderful person, im going to report this ADA violation to the city. I hope they make you fix it or remove it. Ill attach some pictures here soon.

Love love love this place. Also love how amazing they are for older people like my in-laws who are disabled. Lots of wheelchair accessible options and easy parking. They even let me park out front to help my in-laws in and out!

Absolutely amazing vet. Dr. De Anna is so amazing. She did my service dogs annual check up, as I just moved here, got her updated vaccinations and it wasn't overly expensive at all. My service dog recently got attacked by a neighbors dog and I rushed her to the emergency vet (as it was after hours). Her symptoms worsened the next day and Dr. De Anna immediately rushed us into an appointment the same day. She is an absolutely amazing vet, speaks German as well so my dog understands her, and really listens to my needs and explains everything in great detail. I highly recommend this place!!

Quick service in and out. Nice follow up call to see how the dog was. Reasonable price for a dog that needed 10 teeth extracted.

The office and Dr Bailey have been incredibly responsive and patient. Dr Bailey takes the time to answer questions, explain and develop a plan together. Very helpful, would recommend!

I was new to the area and had not yet established with a vet. I had a 4:00 pm emergency situation with my dog and called Alpine. The front office staff told me to come right in. I did, and saw Dr. Duchow. He was wonderful, diagnosed the problem, prescribed treatment and we were on our way home. Very professional and put me and my dog at ease. All this amid their first day after moving to a new building!! What a refreshing and amazing experience.

Today was our first visit for not the best reasons but I couldn't be happier with my experience! Everyone from start to finish was most accommodating. Highly recommended.

I took my laboring dog to Dr. Orr, she is the most kind and lovely person, she worked with me through the financial difficulties, and treated my dog as if it were her own. She saved my dog's life with her willingness to see her immediately. Dr Orr is the most amazing vet I have ever met.

It isn't possible to give enough stars to reflect the level of care we received for our daughters dog. The Dr's and staff all showed such genuine care and compassion for our family and dog. Sometimes pets put us in the position of making very difficult choices, and the support we received from them when we were faced with making that decision was phenomenal. Because of them our daughter still has her dog, and our whole family still has a beloved pet that has been the center of our life for a very difficult year. It would be impossible to describe what their actions have meant to us. Thank you!!!!

Our Veterinarian moved out of state so we needed to find a new one. We had an emergency with one of our cats and having never been here thought it may be difficult to get in. They were AWESOME! We dropped the cat off, they took excellent care of him, called to check on him when we took him home and were very kind and caring. The office was clean and welcoming. We anticipate a long relationship with this clinic. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Fast forward a year later. We had to take a different cat to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital who forwarded the test results to Alpine. The next day Alpine called to check on our cat and see if there was anything they could do to help. OUTSTANDING caring and customer service!! Thanks for being an AWESOME place to take our furry babies.

I have been going to Dr. Duchow with our animals- JACK (a Chinese Shar-pei rescue), OSCAR (another Shar-pei), KATO (Aussie), three cats - Sally, Dude, and Lucy. The dogs had cancer operations. Pain pills for Kato as he aged. All of the animals died year after year with Lucy going last in 2017. We took grieving time then purchased two beautiful Shar'pei from a reputable owner. BOTH dogs had All of their shots - parvo, rabies. Both neutered. I brought the puppy in to Alpine on Sat. morning - April 6th because he was sick. The receptionist NEVER asked me my name but got a tall, short haired blonde vet (?) to the front. She made me pick the puppy up accusing me of bringing in a puppy with parvo. I gave her one paper I brought in showing the rabies shot and that he had been neutered. I had forgotten the entire folder yet she refused to help the puppy. I had the breeder on the phone along with text messages showing the parvo shots, etc. SHE NEVER ASKED MY NAME, REFUSED TO LOOK AT TEXTS OR TALK TO THE BREEDER. SHE BASICALLY ASKED ME TO LEAVE. SO TWENTY YEARS OF LOYALITY TO ALPI NE MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HER. So you will know (not that it matters) my name is Karla Hull, and my husband's name is Jonathan B. Hull, attorney. I am a retired nurse and would NEVER bring into your facility a puppy with parvo. If you would have had the courtesy to ask my name my puppy might have received the care he needed. I'm actually sad about this because Dr. Duchow is a wonderful vet. He wasn't there, but for the tall blonde - her rating is ZERO. In response My dog did not have parvo! I don't think a vet would neuter a dog that did not have a parvo shot first! You had that information, refused to talk to the breeder, refused to look at the texts showing parvo shots and additional vaccinations. I was treated like a vagrant off the street with a stray puppy. I was asked to pick up my puppy and leave. Had you looked up our 20 year record of loyalty bringing our pets to Dr. Duchow you might have been a little more compassionate for my puppy. No worries as I will never return. I found a loving and compassionate vet for our two Sharpei puppies.

I found a dog running down a busy road and brought the dog into alpine to see if they could check if he was chipped. The front desk girl was the nicest, most helpful person! She helped me find the dogs owner and I appreciate all her help. Although the owner wasn’t super grateful we found her dog, I am very thankful for all her (front desk girl) help!

Dr. Bailey and Dr. Orr are undeniably incredibly capable vets while being caring and compassionate. You get the feeling they are really all in for your pet. After the recent loss of my dog. Dr. Bailey called immediately to express her condolences. She was so genuine and I appreciated the card that was sent. I will not hesitate to use Alpine for my next dog and always recommend to my friends.

My furry child's ear was hurting and my regular vet couldn't get him in to see him. Dr. Orr saw him and she was wonderful! She treated him like he had been her patient forever not like this was his first time seeing him. I had a great interaction with the clinic and got to see interaction with other pets and their families with the staff and you could see how much the staff cares. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I know why my vet chose to recommend this clinic for the urgent care visit. Definitely deserving of a 5 star experience! The price was not outrageous either.

I board my two small dogs here frequently. The staff at Alpine are always very friendly and welcoming. I have also used them for veterinary services and the veterinarians are knowledgeable and kind. They take the time to explain things to me and are sweet with my dogs. My dogs are actually excited to be dropped off for boarding and are happy when I pick them up. As soon as I get home they are immediately back into their routine and don't seem phased by the long time away from home. It's so nice to have the peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of. Thank you Alpine for everything you do!

Definitely the best vet I've ever seen! They are always friendly and always professional. This wonderful team made a miracle possible and healed my 3 month old chocolate lab pup from Parvo! now he is already 1 Year and 2 months old and strong like a bull! he loves going to the vet more than going swimming!

We have been to both Dr. Bailey and Dr. DUCHOW and happy with both Vets. Our older Aussie has had two emergency surgeries by both. Dr. Duchow who repaired a torn ACL and Dr. Tawny Bailey repaired a torn meniscus both did wonderful jobs. I would highly recommend both. Been going to Alpine for over 30 years. Dr. Bailey for 13 years & Duchow for 20 or more. Have not tried newer vet yet. Jill, and office staff are extremely helpful, cheerful and Jill is very knowledgeable.

After adopting my rescue from Kootenai Human Society they give you 48 hours for you to take your new pet to see your vet. After dealing with Prairie Animal Hospital for 25 years or more they are not very compassionate this was to be a FREE exam they charged me and gave him 500mg of amoxicillin which made him really sick thought my dog was dying. Dr. Orr took him off meds Prairie had given him and gave him 3 new ones he was also dehydrated she saved my new baby he snapped out of he's lanargecic state she's now our new vet thank you Dr Orr you are awesome????

I took my dachshund in to their vet hospital today as an emergency even though they aren't her established vet. They were so accommodating, kind and gave such excellent care to my dog. She is back home with me recovering comfortably and the bill was half the price I was expecting and wouldve paid anywhere else. I feel fortunate for finding such a great vet clinic in north Idaho, especially under such urgent circumstances, as I am new here. I definitely will be making them her primary vet.
