Called with an emergency for my cat. Very quickly was told that if I had no money to bring him in and they would put him to replace for free. If infection antibiotics but no payments unless you've been using them for a while. If there is something you do not providesont be insensitive. Horrible.

If I could give a zero I would. I do not recommend this vet to anyone who values the life of their pet. Brought a 6 month GSD to vet after she had eaten a bit of string producing cyclic vomiting, extreme discomfort, and inability to produce bowel movement. The puppy would not stand, eat, or drink water for greater than 24hrs and had a concerning change in character. Initial response from vet did not warrant hospitalization but rather observation and return for secondary x-ray to rule out gastrointestinal obstruction. Within a few hours of being home our dog curled herself up, did not want to turn towards us, and began to shake while dragging her paws along the floor in obvious pain. We are not veterinarians however both of us work in health care. These findings are very concerning in an animal who is otherwise upbeat and playful. We opted for the hospitalization, which is a considerable amount of money, and a barium study. The results were otherwise unremarkable and she was given a clean bill of health. The staff stated they "witnessed" her eat food and water and that her character was of "alert and happy". They said she did not have a bowel movement because "she had nothing in her system". They also stated the barium study was complete. We brought her home. She was uninterested in food and water. She immediately began vomiting after smelling her food and went outside and produced a bowel movement of bright-red fowl-smelling diarrhea, known as melena, indicating a significant lower GI bleed. We called the vet back and these findings did not concern or warrant any change in care or re-evaluation. We essentially spent a considerable amount of money at a facility and with a provider who had already dismissed our concerns and who had no intention of investigating this patients illness. We took her to a different facility where our concerns were met and an actual diagnosis made and intervened upon. She is still recovering weeks later. I would not trust this provider. I suggest you do the same.

It's been over a year since the devastation Dr Bowes aided in causing my family & me, and I'm still barely ready to write this review. I write it now in hopes that I can spare another family from the same suffering. My dog had been staying with my mom while my family was making a cross country move. He became lethargic and wouldn't eat so I made a last minute trip (in the middle of packing our house) to see him myself. Within minutes I knew he wasn't my usual spunky boy who would have been thrilled to see me. He could barely lift his head. After an unsuccessful visit to careless vet down the street I was desperate to find out what was wrong with my dog and brought him here. I had to call them repeatedly throughout his stay to get updates about his status as well as any diagnosis. I also tried to see him multiple times and was told I wasn't allowed to see him in the back. Thankfully during one attempt, one of the more compassionate vet techs allowed me to go sit with him for awhile. Other than that I didn't get to see him and let him know I was always there. Dr Bowes had my dog for THREE days and was never able (or didn't care) to find out what was wrong with him. She ran only three of the most basic diagnostics possible (CBC, blood pressure, ultrasound), gave him some antibiotics without knowing if he even needed them, some anti nausea meds, and some fluids. That was the extent of her emergency expertise. All of which she was happy to charge me $1331 for. It was clear that Dr Bowes was only keeping my dog to fill her pockets so I discharged my dog. Ultimately, I drove him 17 hours non-stop back home to my regular vet only to find out he had been suffering from pancreatitis. We lost him a few days later. If Dr Bowes was actually competent enough to have done more in the three days she had my dog, then perhaps he could have lived more happy days. I urge you to reconsider seeking medical advice from a more knowledgeable, caring, honest, and responsible veterinarian.

Took advantage of my father overcharged him and he is disabled and his service dog was injured, now we will not eat because they overcharged our credit card without a signature, do not pay with a credit card they can bill you any amount they want without your signature if you cannot avoid

Try Emergency Vet Hospital of Coeur d'Alene instead on Kathleen please, do not learn the hard way like I had to on how bad this vet is in every way pure Greed and Deception this vet should have been an Attorney not a Vet in my opinion

I SEVERELY URGE YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE our dog Hadies was only 1.5 years old, she had never had anything medically wrong with her before. Around 12:30 am 03-27-2020 Hadies got up out of bed (which wasn’t unusual for her to do) and just suddenly hit the floor and started seizing instantly. I had yelled at my husband to get up because she was having a seizure. He jumped up out of bed, turned the lights on and helped me stabilized her. A few minutes went by and she finally stopped. I didn’t let her eat or drink anything at the time, I just wanted her to stay calm around 2- 2:30 am she started having them again, we startle began to worry more and more about our dogs life. We made the decision to call around to emergency vets, I got into contact with a Spokane vet. I explained the situation and she refused to talk to me or to offer any service since we live in Idaho then she hung up the phone. My husband ended up taking Haties to the only other Emergency vet available, which is Emergency Pet Care in Post falls on Seltice way. The vet , Dr. Annie Bowes, has seen Haties. She tested her blood sugar and it came back normal. She gave our dog Valium and prescribed her 2 doses of Valium at 5mg each. She said to try this first because she believed Haties was epileptic which was unsettling to me because 3 years ago we had adopted a dog that WAS epileptic. She denied blood work to us and said if this doesn’t stop them to come back in later during the day.my husband brought her home and she was fine for a minute, she took a sip of water then dropped and started having seizures again repeatedly. I called the vet back to see what I could do ( I felt absolutely helpless) I told them that she was over heating and salivating to the point where she was covered and everything else was too. The vet then told me that she had no advice to give but to let her do her own thing and not to let her hurt herself. We ended up giving her a dose of the Valium in hope it would calm her down as the directions had stated during the time frame. 5ml per dose every 20 minutes PRN. She stopped seizing for a minute then started breathing heavily and within 15 minutes of her struggling to breath our sweet girl passed away only an hour after being home. I had called the vet back to let her know that Haties had passed away and I asked her why she didn’t do more to help us. Dr. Annie Bowes stated that it was our fault she died because we “ refused other care including Blood work” and to “ not call again otherwise she will sue us for slander and harassment” while stating that she will not refund any of our money ( 200$ ) then hung up. So not only did we lose our dog, bestfriend and our child ( because we can’t have kids of our own) we also got threatened to get sued by the only person who could help us. Right there shows that not only Dr. Annie Bowes showed no remorse for our family but showed no respect towards the animals and their family’s effected. Please keep in mind who you take your Fur Babies to and cherish them for everything they show you and have given you. Dr. Annie Bowes I feel beyond sorry for you, I will be praying that you learn quality care so others don’t have to go through what we had gone through.

Annie bowes is a Horror show! I had to go back after leaving a negative review. I was refused treatment because of my negative Google review. Petty and childish Annie bowes will punish a 10lb pomeranian to satisfy her carnal selfish grudge.

Not only has Dr. Bowes helped with our large animals, she has been wonderful with emergency situations that have popped up with our dogs. She and her staff have been wonderful with the two euthansias we had.

I have never been treated so horribly in my life! We had to bring our 2 year old dog in from Spirit Lake. I had been giving him CPR in the car and we would pay any amount to save him. However my husband and I had been splitting wood and we were in dirty work clothes. We were talked down to and treated like we were abusing our dog. Our dogs are like our children. He sadly did not make it. Within 3 minutes of telling us our baby died while my husband and I are sobbing uncontrollably they come in asking us about payments and wanting $! It was a horrible experience. NO COMPASSION at all! We felt judged and looked down on as “poor people” and all they care about was $! We would of paid any amount to save our baby. If I could give a ZERO rating, no stars I would.

I am so very grateful for Dr. Annie Bowes and her skilled, friendly and knowledgeable vet techs. Dr. Bowes has treated five of my family’s animals and she has earned my trust, respect and appreciation. She clearly cares deeply about her work and is 100% dedicated to the health, wellness, dignity and compassionate care of the animals she treats.

Greatful for the care and sensitivity provided by this pet clinic. Having a grave pet emergency on the weekend very late at night, it was our good fortune to find this pet hospital. The staff did a wonderful job. Thank you.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆Dr. Annie Bowes and staff were extremely compassionate, reassuring, and professional with our Reilley when he suddenly experienced acute distress and pain and we hadn't a clue of the cause. Having just moved to the area from out of state (less than two weeks prior) with our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, we were quite concerned about the a potentially serious issue affecting our boy -- and the circumstance of needing to randomly choose a vet -- hoping to find one who was of excellent caliber - and also available on a very early Sunday morning. Our "Babes" are like our second set of children and we are very happy to say that we (all!) could not have ended up in better hands, both for his care - as well as their patience and compassion for us. Thank you, Dr. Bowes, Sarah, and staff! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
