It was just so obvious with everyone I spoke to or interacted with how much they care about their patients. They took very good care of my dog.

For me, seeing Dr. Elliott with my pup had come after a long path of trying to discover what is going on with my her and knowing that visiting Sunstone (and having many tests performed) might mean receiving difficult results. Dr Elliott and his team were kind, speedy, thorough, and earnest. It made a very tense appointment and wait for results a lot easier. I'm so grateful and would recommend Sunstone to anybody. Very thankfully, we got the best possible results, but for a grand old gal nearing the end of her life, if we need to head back to Sunstone, I won't hesitate. Thank you, Dr. Elliott!

I rarely leave reviews, but really wanted to here. Our cat broke his wrist this summer and after almost two months of seeing numerous vets and spending almost $5k on splint changes, sedation meds and X-rays, we were referred to Dr. Su for a consult because two different vets told us he would now need orthopedic surgery and a metal rod put in to heal the break. I came here expecting the worst, but instead had an amazing meeting with Dr. Su who personally walked me through all his X-rays and diagnoses, ending with her sincere recommendation that he was actually healing perfectly, just a little slow and giving us care directions that were in direct opposition of what every other vet had told us. The fact that she did not immediately advise surgery (even though that path would have been the obvious one to give her and the clinic the most money) I immediately felt I could trust her. A simple one-time consult fee that was extremely reasonable, and one month later our cat is completely healed and happy, without a single additional vet visit. I cannot recommend her enough for her kindness, professionalism and sincerity, and god forbid I am ever in need of an orthopedic surgeon for real, I will absolutely be returning to her for that care!

Called I was told it would cost multiple thousand dollars due to doctor being board certified. For a surgery. Looked it up on the internet and surgery would be around thousand dollars.

I have two French bulldogs a female and a male and their names are Chevy and Nova. My female had to come see Dr. Tobin because she was born without a gallbladder so she has liver disease and needed to have surgery for biopsies and some other stuff and she has just been absolutely amazing to us and for us and I’m very grateful for Sunstone and my male friend she has breathing problems and we have been seeing Dr. Sue who is just outstanding and very communicative and thorough and explaining to me what I need to do to take care of Chevys tracheotomy because he has a permanent one so that he can breathe. I wouldn’t say that it’s cheap definitely not that but I know that I came to the right place and I know that my for babies are OK because of Dr. Tobin and Dr. Sue. And I’m just so grateful for their knowledge and expertise and the fact that I can call or email any time or day and tell them what’s going on and they respond to me as soon as they open and that means more than anything to me.

The team at Sunstone is always great. We've been taking our girl in for the last few years and not only was Dr. Elliot instrumental in saving her and getting her a great quality of life back, the whole team is always so delightful when we bring her in for rechecks. The care is always excellent.

Dr Tobin has done an amazing job taking care of our kitty Lana, I think her life would be very different if we hadn't found Sunstone and Dr Tobin. It's clear that the whole staff truly care about the pets and humans who come through their door and it's so refreshing and reassuring to know our precious girl is getting the best care. Their thoughtfulness and care answering any and all questions and not hesitating to check into something to make sure it will be the right fit is something that really makes Sunstone stand apart.

Very professional, responsive and caring veterinary specialists and staff. Our cat had a complicated condition when he was referred here and a year later he is still enjoying life with the help of Sunstone and our care at home.

Dr. Elliott is fantastic - has the best bedside manner and always takes the time to thoroughly explain things in ways that are digestible to a non-veterinarian! We know all the staff are excellent at Sunstone and take great care of our girl. We know we will always receive very clear explanations of our dog's health situation, test results and what to look for in the future. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I called sunstone Veterinary specialist at the end of June to schedule a referral appointment for my cat who has a very interesting history. They Told my they charge for the appointment upfront of $180. I agreed and they send me the link and I paid. Today (8/12) 5 days before his scheduled appointment I got an email stating I still owed them $240 for my appointment. They stated that it was for a 2nd opinion, and they charge $420 for second opinions. I reminded them that it was NOT a 2nd opinion appointment and that it is a referral for maintenance care for my cat who is nearing the other side. Again, they stated that because of his “complicated history” that they are charging extra for the vet’s time to read the history. They also claimed that they sent me 2 emails regarding this that I never received. I even sent screen shot of my email history from them showing I never got them, and they still claim that it was sent and not their fault. They also never once followed up on any of their emails with a call. As a Veterinary professional myself I have never once heard of a vet charging more than their normal exam fee (more than double!). If you really don’t want to see a patient, then Just say it! Don’t try and rob the owners pockets. I have never had to deal with such a lack of professionalism before and it is downright appalling at the behavior of this clinic and unwillingness to even admit they were wrong. Not only this but they even addressed me in the email by the WRONG NAME.

This is a late review, but here it goes. I have an 8.5 year old pitbull mix who initially had a partially torn cranial cruciate ligament. I had horrible service at the first vet I seen they dismissed my concern for a growth between her ankle and her knee. I was referred to Dr. Su by the second veterinarian i had seen for my dogs torn cruciate ligament. It was after Dr Su had examined LiiLu after getting her history (she stood in the cold for over a half an hour getting detailed history, listened to our concerns) She had expressed concern over the same mass that I had told the first vet about and been dismissed. She also notified us that LiiLu had a heart murmur. (She gets super anxious when we go to the vet) But none of the other vets had mentioned the heart up to this point. She did say it could have just been nervousness but she wanted us to still get it looked at before surgery. We took her advice and got the mass tested, upon receiving the results of the mass we found out it was cancer. Just the diagnosis of the cancer alone changed the entire game plan for surgery. We also were unable to get LiiLu into the cardiologist before the scheduled surgery date. What went from a torn CCL plan we now had to think about the cancer. Dr. Su went above and beyond when she examined procedure, risks, possible complications, from surgery in itself. She then explained what her thoughts and feelings were on the mass. There were two options, scrape the tumor and leave cells behind, & do the CCL surgery as planned. She was not comfortable doing it this way. She then prompted an amputation conversation. She explained the best and worst case scenarios for both. She is an amazing surgeon and we can not begin to thank her enough for the detailed in depth conversations, as well as the many phone calls after surgery. Not gonna lie the price is expensive. In my experience worth every penny. All questions were answered and made sure the answer was recieved and understood. Very caring, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, her surgery team is amazing too any answers they didn't have they sought. If I could leave a 10 star review I would. It has been a month shy of 6 months since LiiLu's amputation, she is up running, dragging us for walks, (I thought she'd lose strength she gained it ), playing, fetching, jumping on the couch, shes even jumped up on our bed once. The sad look that was in her eyes before surgery is gone. Shes back to her goofy, crazy, go go go self. Thank you Dr. SU AND team for improving LiiLu's quality of life!

Dr. Tobin and staff go above and beyond when sharing results and exploring options. As a pet owner I never feel anything less than well cared for and informed of all possible options for my beloved pet ... without judgment or pressure. I've been very impressed with the quality of information and expertise this team provides.

Straightforward appointment scheduling, vet cares about the pet and gives a very thorough and detailed list of options available with all the pros and cons. Takes the time to listen to the client needs and wishes, while also being flexible in the treatment. I felt heard and also informed. 1-on-1 time with the vet that didn't seem like they were rushed.

It's not an easy decision to put a senior cat through major surgery but after consulting with Dr. Su and having a really great conversation about the entire process, we were able to make the decision for ourselves to go forward with it. Dr. Su did an absolutely amazing job with a leg amputation and helping to guide us on the next steps in caring for our feline friend.

I have had a horrific experience at sunstone veterinary. Initially I was onboard with everyone else- great experience. But then it started to become very evident that Dr. Elliot was requesting labs and procedures solely to make money. I completed a couple labs that he requested at Banfield and Banfield sent him the results. Instead of discussing the results with me - he blatantly told me that if I wanted to continue having my dog see him, that I’d have to go to him for everything and that “he wasn’t going to use his time to review the labs that another doctor completed.” I was in absolute shock. I’ve never heard a doctor say this before in any situation. I am disgusted and disturbed by this doctor. I warn everyone here to review your bills from this establishment and really ask the doctor what they completed for your dog - this doctor charged me $100 more for the same procedure only because I got labs done at Banfield, even though he requested the tests.

Dr. Su was really helpful and did a great job explaining our surgical and non-surgical options, and the risks and benefits of each. I really appreciated that she didn't pressure us towards the most expensive option, and instead helped guide us towards what was best for our dog. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us about all of our concerns!

Dr. Elliott and staff are very thorough, knowledgeable and professional. The time Dr. Elliott spent with me to explain my pets diagnosis, treatment options and expectations was exceptional. I appreciate the written follow-up summary also.

Appreciated all the emails. Little more expensive than I anticipated for the procedure but Dr. Su was very easy to talk to and gave us options to offset costs. Everyone was very kind and I felt Leon was in good hands. Email communications, easy online payment. Emailing of the chart notes/estimate and all that made my experience very pleasant.

Our four year old French Bulldog had nares and soft palette surgery. Dr. Lillian Su did an excellent job, from initial consultation to post op and follow-up. Zorro is now a different dog, much healthier and more energetic -- a happy chappy! Thank you Dr. Su and the Sunstone team!
