Roseway Veterinary Hospital Portland, Washington

I chose this vet because of the good reviews and that they're close to my house. Unfortunately, I've found them to be disorganized and impersonal. I just brought my cat in for yearly immunizations and the next day they send me an email saying he's past due for some other treatment. While I appreciate their covid protocols not allowing me to come in to the appointment, it's clear that the vet is not looking at the animal's full history when they come in-- that seems to be left up to automation, which makes for a haphazard customer experience. I don't feel confident that they're able to do a good job with this model. Edit: I see that they've responded to my comment by entirely missing the point and trying to blame their customers instead of taking responsibility. When I bring my cat in for treatment, I would like to be able to bring them in for everything at once, and it's clear they didn't even look at his chart to recommend other services that would be due at the time I scheduled.

Helped me with the last couple years of life with a 21 year old cat with cancer. They always loved on him, and helped me as much as possible. The vet actually cares and acts with compassion and tenderness towards the animals. They referred me to a beautiful in home euthanasia service when it was time and that was fantastic. I appreciate this clinic very much.

I am giving them a 5 star & I haven't even been in to see them. First of all, Dr Davis owns the practice. I am done with big corporations in the veterinary business. Second of all, when I called to get a new client appointment Jessica was an absolute delight: friendly & welcoming. She obviously loves her job. I am looking forward to meeting Dr Davis, Jessica, and the rest of the team.

Everyone here is so patient and wonderful. I can't imagine how difficult their jobs are right now. Thank you so much for everything!

Kind and compassionate care for our three dogs and one cat. They take the animal's comfort into consideration. One of my dogs hates getting toenails done. They prescribed a pill to help relax her but I did not does her properly. They where not able to do it because she was unhappy. I asked about securing her. They said that some places do that but it can traumatize the dog. I had not thought of that and appreciated so much thier compassion and thoughtfulness in educating me and caring for my dogs well being. This is just one example of why I love this place.

Best ever vet for my Border Collie

This place is amazing! I starting taking my dog here after poor service at our old vet and it is night and day. From the office staff on the phone to the doctor the service was world-class. To give an example: My dog started to have tumors and this is the first condition he's had that really concerned me. The doctor really took the time to answer all of my questions in detail and even took test during the visit instead of making us come back. I slept great that weekend after the good results. When I went to pick up my dog the staff were all having a blast with my wild boy. We look forward to becoming long term clients. Thank you!

We have been bringing our cat and dog here for many years, and continued doing so even when we moved across town. Dr. Voorhees is terrific, loves animals, and always helps find a solution to keep our pets healthy. Staff is friendly and appointments are always on time. Love this place!

We originally discovered Dr. Davis just because he was the closest vet to our house. Years later, he started his own clinic and we followed him alllll the way across town. You will not find a better, more caring and thorough vet in Portland. His team is also phenomenal. The clinic has our family's full trust on all levels.

The staff was very helpful and informative. Took my kitty there and they spent an extra long time with me since I'm a first time cat owner. Very affordable as well. Glad I chose them!

Roseway has been wonderful, for both routine puppy care, and also for a surprise squeaker obstruction. I thought my dog would start getting nervous about going to the vet, but she leaps out of the car to go see her friends at Roseway. She is a happy customer.

This is the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to hands down. Every one is extremely kind and helpful. I always feel listened to and I feel like they really give me and my cat their care and attention. I HIGHLY recommend you take your pet here for a safe and welcoming environment.

Wonderful vet !!! I have not been going to see Dr. Scott for very long but have the utmost confidence in him. Not pushy at all and respects the holistic care I give my dogs. My dogs adore him and he is a real pleasure to work with. His staff is wonderful and I couldn’t be happier. Their location is nowhere near me but it’s not about convenience, it’s about competence !!! Highly recommend !

After a horrific experience at another office, I was desperate for a good local vet that I could trust. I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Roseway! Dr. Jerry Voorhees was so kind and compassionate, had such a gentle touch with my sick kitty, and fully discussed treatment plans - explaining what's necessary and what would be elective or preventative. The staff was also excellent, squeezing me in on short notice and then providing in depth explanations to their billing costs. Scott the vet tech in particular was also fantastic! They've made a customer for life.

My partner and I are always so impressed with the kind reception we receive from seriously everyone at Roseway whether we are calling in with questions or in for an exam for our older pets. I always feel heard as a pet owner and respected as low income individual trying to do the best I can for my pets. Dr. Davis is kind, efficient and communicative. So grateful for the whole team!

My cat has always been difficult at the vet and this has been the first place he has ever received an actual exam. Usually, it takes brute force to get his injections, but the vets and staff here are very patient and sensitive and were able to thoroughly examine him. Roseway has also been very helpful in fitting me in and helping determine if the situation is severe enough to warrant a trip to the pet ER. I honestly wish I could find a doctor's office that was this helpful and communicated as well as the staff here. To top it all off their fees and pricing is very fair and comparable to other veterinarian offices I have used. I am very happy to have found Roseway Veterinary for my fuzzy buddy.

Dr. Voorhees and the staff at Roseway Veterinary are a great team. Our dog recently had a tough bought with a grass seed infection, and Dr. Vorhees really went above and beyond to care for our dog and get him back to good health. We feel so, so lucky to have such a high-quality, pet-focused Veterinarian in our neighborhood who really listens and cares. This is a great place to take your pet. Highly recommend.
