First off, the entire team at Mudpuppies is great! Everyone is so kind and professional!!! My personal experience has been with the fantastic, DARCY. She’s been grooming Truffle since he was a young puppy and without her I don’t know what state Truff would be in ????. He is a Shiba Inu, and has stayed true to the breeds reputation. He loves her, but definitely puts up a big protest when it comes to grooming. She is so patient, fair, and efficient with him! I have no idea how she does it, but he always comes out looking great. (Very fluffy and cute) Something exceptional about Darcy is her willingness to educate new puppy owners. My partner and I were really struggling with nail trimming at home between grooming appointments. Darcy suggested and allowed us to go to the back and watch her trim his nails. It really helped! I highly recommend taking your pet here!

Walked in for a quick easy nail trim. Did a great job!

We accidentally came in after their walk in nail trim hours and they were nice enough to trim my dog's nails anyhow and they were really lovely about it despite seeming pretty busy. Btw, in case anyone is wondering, the walk in nail hours are 9 am - 1 pm.

My cat absolutely hates getting her nails trimmed and puts up a fight. They were fast and firm in a way that minimized the drama, without any blood/pain for my kitty. I was really impressed as it was impossible for me to do myself. THANK YOU!!!

I took my 9 month old pup for a nail trim on Saturday and the experience was great! He is admittedly not the most easy dog to work with (very reactive, fearful but not aggressive) but the staff got us in and out in about 10 minutes. I sat in the waiting room and could hear them praising him, giving him treats of encouragement, and being oh so patient with him. Overall I had a true 5 star experience and would not hesitate to return or recommend to a friend!

Awesome place! We bring our GSP Gus in to get his nails done every 2-3 weeks, and they do a great job every time, and so quickly! Love having a local place we can go to regularly, and love having less clicky dog toes on the wood floors

Heather groomed our dog and she did everything we asked. This is the best grooming we’ve ever had. We’ve been searching all over the Portland area for the last 2 years and we finally found someone who does what we ask. We will always come back here.

My dog has dewclaws that need trimming, and I was neglecting it. Mudpuppies shamed me and now I go there regularly. 5/5, I needed a good shaming. :) Oh and they're really nice.

I have always had a great experience here. I come in fairly regularly to get my dog's nails trimmed because they take walk-ins for nail appointments during the weekday mornings and they always are friendly and always do a great job.

Brittany grooms the family Poodle and I always recommend her to anyone looking for a dog groomer.

They are always so nice, even when I rush in for nail trimmings. Can be difficult to catch them on phone sometimes — but why wouldn’t it be? My dog always feels safe here and they always say he is a good boy even when he steals treats.

VERY DISSAPOINTING VISIT. ASKED AND PAID FOR BATH AND NAIL CLIP. AFTER GETTING HOME REALISED THEY DID NOT TOUCH HER NAILS. YES SHOULD HAVE CHECKED. CALLED TO INFORM THEM AND WAS TOLD SHE PROBABLY DID NOT NEED IT. WILL NOT GO BACK.

LOVE Mudpuppies on Lombard. The salon is welcoming and the groomers are very professional. They have always managed to squeeze Chuck in when she has played to hard outside and needs more attention than this fur mamma can give. I love that when I say Mudpuppies, my fur baby runs to the door and is ready for her spa treatments. They are more than just groomers, they are Chuck's friends and she LOVES visiting as well as getting her photo snapped with their lovely monthly themed backgrounds.

Such a WONDERFUL place! First time here and they did an amazing job ❤️❤️. I feel comfortable leaving my fur baby there to be pampered and loved. Highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a groomer. They treated my Shepard like family! ????????

After moving from San Francisco, we didn't know where to bring our 7 year old pit rescue. After a big of a google search and talking to friends we came upon Mudpuppies. Delilah loved her groomer in the Bay, but the relationship took time to build. The staff at Mudpuppies took their time with Delilah, building a relationship of trust with her before having me leave her. They even offered to work with me and book her during less popular hours so she would be under less stress. Darcy is the sweetest most patient groomer and I am SO thankful we've found a place we feel comfortable bringing Delilah to -- even if its a bit of a commute for us from SE. Thank you for the piece of mind and the continued quality service.

Best place to take your dogs

The people are great, had my cat's nails trimmed. Very efficient, friendly and informative. Gave me good tips on grooming, to thin her coat. I'll use this place again.

We get the best treatment from the staff we’ve ever gotten from any other groomers. Often we have been met with some type of discrimination that is felt by just my presence. Geisha looks so lovely and feels so good it shows in her overall behaviors. Thank you Heather for your exceptional expertise. Thank you staff members for your honest show of friendliness and professionalism . You guy’s really made a difference for us today.

My senior pup struggles with anxiety as a result he's had traumatic experiences in the past from grooming. He has not been groomed in 8 years! He was looking so rough that I opted to give grooming another shot. He came out looking extraordinarily great. He looks so stoic. I can't thank Shannon enough for her patience and sharing her talent. Get bath and nails trimmed about 1x month. Good service, doggo is happy.

They airways get me right in. They are consistent and my dog is happy with them. Mudpuppies is the only place I'll go. They are quick and I see all other customers, furry and human Love Mudpuppies!

They are amazing! My roommate and I have been trying to cut our Frenchie's nails and it's always a nightmare. She panics like she is getting murdered and doesn't care how much blood she leaves as she scratches her way out of your arms/area. We finally decided to try a professional, and while there was some screaming from our little girl (normal and all her panicking for no reason), she came out with shorter nails and just fine! So happy we found a solution for her and us. Thank you for your help with our little psychopath!

Good place to take your dog for a hair cut they do great job and one thing i like they work with you. They do you and your pet right. Great people work there and the owner is very lay back and kind and sweet. I highly tell people to come bring your dog there

I highly recommend Mudpuppies! They are always professional and reliable! They take great care of our pup, she always looks beautiful after her spa day.

Update: After being contacted by the owner, we were able to set up an appointment. Blu has never been so soft! I am glad we were able to work together and start a new relationship, Heather. :) We have been making calls to Mudpuppies and they have not returned any. After the owner of Show Dogs passed, we still wanted to use a service close by our home and it's a shame they're picking an choosing who they want to take appointments from.

I love our groomer! Very respectful of what we want and always does an amazing job! Helps teach me what to do between grooming s which has helped us so much!
