Fantastic! Hated losing them when I moved, but they are still helpful even years later!

They take care of all three of my pets. Been going to them for 4 years at this point. No complaints. Staff basically helped me name my dog. Chili says thanks.

I was recommended this clinic by neighbors. When I enquired as to whether or not they had experience with pregnant dogs they said they did and expressed excitement about my dogs puppies. I asked specifically if the day she was giving birth if I’d be able to call for help or bring her in. If that had that kind of availability in case of emergency. They claimed if they were open and we couldn’t make it to emergency vet they could help. Day of her birth I called couldn’t get a hold of anyone. They then claimed the didn’t have anyone on staff that day that was familiar with birthing dogs. I called on day 5 as my female was showing signed of distress and rejection of her babies due to sounds that were scaring her (Garbage day) and I called and called and called trying to get help and advice on what to do. I took a cancellation appointment from Angie over phone at three PM and when there was no improvement but it appeared my female was scared and that’s what was causing her to reject her babies I called 20 mins beforehand to enquire as to whether or not I should bring her in and it’s turns out that Angie did not put my acceptance of the 3 pm appointment in the system. But was advised by the front desk staff who’s not a vet (or tech to my knowledge) that I should probably leave her at home and just keep the environment calm. I did so with no improvement and called two hours later to the same person who tried to tell me I didn’t share information about my female not feeding her babies WHICH I DID STATE MULTIPLE TIMES- but because the from Desk Staff Hannah was too busy advising me on medical information which she wasn’t qualified for she didn’t listen to me when I was describing my females symptoms when I clearly said “she’s not wanting to be around them, she’s not feeding them, she’s acting anxious and pacing and trying to find me constantly. Then I started to cry on the phone and get frustrated and told her she wasn’t listening at which point she said “you know what I’m done this conversation is over “ and hung up on me. I would NEVER recommend this vet. They’re AWFUL and their front desk staff are disorganized and have terrible customer service.

I will start by saying I worked at a veterinary practice for almost a decade and as such, I am always able to take my pets there for a steep discount but it's located a good 45 min away from where I live now. To spare my sweet cat the stress, I wanted to find a local veterinary clinic for care. I was SO fortunate to have found Mt. Scott Animal Clinic. From the first time I called to set up the appointment, the staff was so kind and professional and that level of care just kept increasing the day of the appointment. They explained all services carefully and thoroughly and didn't push any services that I wanted to wait on during this particular visit. My cat will be a patient for life and I will continue to recommend the clinic to fellow neighbors. Thank you for the excellent care you provide, Mt. Scott Animal Clinic!

We have been using this clinic for 13 years. We were always very satisfied with their services, however over the last year or two the prices have gone through the roof. They always want to add on anything they can to get more money, even mentioning that they want me to make more appointments for my other pets during our visit. Which really is just a phone consultation, as they are still not doing in person visits. Being a restaurant worker I find this ridiculous. People can go in the grocery store, bars and restaurants, literally everything else is open, including other vet clinics. Any medication or preventative service they don’t provide they say is useless and doesn’t work. They wanted to add so many things on to my dogs visit today that the 64 dollar wellness exam quickly climbed to $500! As mentioned in previous reviews, after Dr. Conradi left we have been increasingly dissatisfied.

We were fortunate enough to get an appointment within a week when our other vet was booked out a few months and we are so happy with Mt Scott that they are now our primary vet for both of our elderly cats. They are very responsive and provide updates every step of the appointment which is extremely helpful during covid when we are not allowed to occupany our pets. Also the staff is very kind and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

I took my cat to the clinic for an eye infection And I truly meant the 1 star rating provided! Dr DeSau was judgemental, rude and full of self righteousness that no one should be subjected to. She assumed many things about me without knowing me at all and assumed that i was neglectful when it came to caring for my cat. Becaue i opted to NOT have a 400 dollars test done, She reported me to MCAC for neglect. After 20 years of bringing my animals here i will find another vet

They try to scam money everytime you call, insisting that your animal needs bloodwork or some other test in order to get more money then when you do take them in they look at them for 3 -5 minutes and charge an exorbitant price, when Dr Conradi was there they were so caring and not overly priced, it is now obvious they are only in it for the $$$ and could care less about your animals.

My dog (senior) was seen here and he got ALL the love! They will definitely take care of your pet and the vet explains things clearly and helps to find solutions. They are in my neighborhood but still, even if I moved farther away, I would come back! They are super awesome.

Best place I've found all around for service and budget. I never returned to previous vet office, not because of the dr but because of the vet assistant. It's important to have great drs as well as great support staff. I'll continue to bring my two dogs as every part of the experience was good. I have a pet app linked to them and I like that I'm earning rewards to go towards their grooming needs.

We have 4 dogs & bring them all to Mt Scott for care. They know our dogs well and provide personalized care for each one. Dr. Kimball is a blessing.

I've always had good experiences with my pets here. They treat my pets with respect and make sure that they're comfortable. My puppy came out of his first appointment just as happy as when he went into it.

Two feral cats have adopted me as their human. Mt Scott is great with these two animals who can be "people sensitive". I love the vets and staff.

Great service, curbside service at this time. They examined my cat and called with the results and options while I waited in the parking lot. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and they were not outrageous in the pricing, either.

The Veterinarians and staff at Mt Scott Animal Clinic provided care for my dog Buddy for close to 15 years. He visited countless times, and they provided him with excellent medical support regardless of the issue, large or small. They always seemed happy to see him and I think he enjoyed going as well! I'd easily recommend them to anyone looking for vet care in the SE Portland area that is competent, trustworthy, and compassionate.

I’ve had great experiences at this vet, especially because our cat is a very difficult patient. Our cat hisses and scratches when the vet examines her. Nevertheless, this clinic has saved the life of our geriatric kitty with kidney failure going on 3 times now. They’re working with us on end of life care as our kitty slowly declines and are willing to work with us on a minimal intervention approach to this difficult period.

They took great care of my 10-year-old dog who needed some dental surgery and also a lump removal. Super friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I make the trip from N Portland because they are just that good.

The doctors and vet technicians at Mt. Scott Animal Clinic went above and beyond for me and my cat last weekend. Firstly, their park-and-call system for COVID times is safe, efficient and extremely well-run. Secondly, every time I've brought my cat there I feel very well taken care of -- I tend to ask a lot of questions as I want to be as informed as I can be about my pet's care, and I so appreciate the time they take to answer all of them, no questions too silly for them to answer thoughtfully and kindly. And lastly, my husband and I potentially have an international trip ahead of us for school, and Brenda Carlson kindly stayed on the phone with me for a significant amount of time answering my questions and even researching solutions! She just sent me an email this morning with the additional information she promised to follow up with. This is a team that truly cares about their patients and who have gone above and beyond to assist in any way they can. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for all your tremendous care last weekend.
