Basically they lost record of my appointment I called in for weeks in advance. I had called to schedule an appointment early in December. Had a long wait, but that was fine. The person I spoke to was super helpful and had me excited to start bringing my cat here. I called back over two weeks later to confirm everything just in case, only to learn they had no record of me contacting them. My several minute phone call earlier in the month says otherwise, but my bigger problem is that I just waited over 2 weeks to have my cat with asthma checked on, and they really dropped the ball on that one. I get that things happen, but this was a lot for me to now have to figure out for my cat's well-being. It takes a while to get yourself set up at a new vet clinic, so I now have to search for a clinic and wait again because of this mistake in record keeping.

would not see my cat and he is a patient. So much for a neighbor hood vet . Now to find a new vet that cares.

Literal life savers at this place. It's a long story involving an unethical breeder, but the people who work there (and Emily in particular for this story) found out my puppy Summit had parvo without me even coming in for a check up. I just called for some advice and she must have suspected something fishy and took it upon herself to dig into his records at a hospital in Salem. I cannot thank these people enough. Summit is now doing super well and being a hilarious and adorable little jerk of a puppy thanks to them.

Take my german shepherd here and she LOVES the staff. The vet we see is extremely kind and understanding and explains things really well. I trust this vet a lot! Won't go anywhere else!

Found a lost dog so we called for recommendations. They took it in and scanned for a chip. We found the owner quickly!

Dr. Robert Bruno is AWESOME! Personal care, kind, teaches you how to take care of your animal! Quick to fit you in, and affordable care! Helps build you up, so you can have confidence while caring for the fur-baby :) especially one that was brought home from the Humane Society after being bouncing back & forth from three different homes and the humane society by the time she was four years old. We will be her ONLY home, and so glad we found Moreland Veterinary Hospital!

PRO: Usually able to be scheduled within a reasonable period of time, quality of care is good, clinic is very close to me, they are knowledgeable and seem to really care about our family members across their entire lifespan, seems relatively affordable compared to other places. CON: Doctor's do not get back to you and do not make themselves easily available for consultation. The clinic is 100% busy 100% of the time so if you are looking for someplace a bit more casual and accessible this might not be a good fit.

Doctors might be good but admin staff really drop the ball and don't pick it up again. Did not follow up with phone call same afternoon or next day as promised. When I emailed 4 days later about this and developing complications (side effects? Don't know, that's part of the problem), received reply, We're closed, how about going to the ER. Contacted 3 days later, explaining problems above and my dissatisfaction, was told they'd look into it and get back that morning. No response.

I am not pleased with the up sale procedure. I know you are in the business to make money but it is beginning to be like a car salesman. Sorry.

Not being able to directly talk to the Dr's makes communication very difficult.

Excellent care, friendly staff, nice veterinarians. I've brought two of my cats here, both received excellent care.

GREAT STAFF. Very knowledgeable and kind. Recomend them highly. Just had our puppy spayed and she was out the same day we dropped off in good spirits.

I have brought my pets here ever since I moved to Sellwood. They have always made time when things were urgent, been there when things were sad - and helped us take the best care of our pets.

This clinic has been so smazing I am low income and feared having to put my companion to rest because of her health they were so wonderful and very supportive my pups life has improved and the Doctor was very compassionate and understanding they adjusted their price to fit my budget and even provided my pups medication mostly free I would recommend this clinic

I love these people and I miss working there! I still take my doggos here and I live in Longview, WA 2 blocks from a VCA. The Bruno’s are amazing and so is Dr. Balcom. They truly care for me and my babes (even my cranky chihuahua ????) and I wouldn’t take them anywhere else (unless maybe I move further away lol)!

I originally brought my dog here two years ago and had the single worst experience as a pet owner. After talking to a friend this weekend and hearing she ran into the same issue as me last week, I feel as though I should share my story to prevent this maltreatment in the future. As I know I am not the only person to have issues with Moreland Vet and their mistreatment of breeder dogs, I can caution anyone who bought an animal rather than adopted a pet NOT TO GO HERE. I brought my pug puppy in for her first vet visit and left in tears, fearing I couldn't afford to take care of my dog after hearing the price quotes for nostril surgery and getting fixed. The front desk staff were extremely rude, uninterested and uninviting. I was ignored for 15 minutes before a lady literally said "Why are you here?" finally I went back to see a male vet. His first question was, "Is your dog from Pacific Pug Rescue" I was quick to say "No. I am familiar with the organization and do not agree with their ethics." (Pacific Pug Rescue does some good, but I can't see past the organization keeping pugs with zero quality of life on medicine into their late teens, it is very sad to see animals in pain be pushed in strollers- I have volunteered in the past) The conversation about where my dog came from should have ended there. The vet continued to belittle me for having a breeder dog, quoting 3k for nostril surgery and $500-1000 to get her fixed. It seemed to me they change the price of services based on breed. This was the exact experience my friend had with her puppy last week. After finding a new vet, I paid $80 to get her fixed and $150 to fix her nostrils. What hurt me the most, is that they were so uninterested in helping me keep my puppy healthy and more so there to make me feel stupid for buying her. I caution anyone considering using this vet clinic to go else where. There are so many inviting, excited people that want to work with you and your pet, don't settle for the entitlement of the workers at Moreland. Since having this experience I have found an absolutely amazing vet, one that does not discriminate.

They were very kind, and gentle with my cat. You could tell they are skilled, and compassionate about their field.

Bob and Kay are wonderful people who have genuine compassion for every animal they care for. Honestly, I could write an entire article about how awesome Moreland Vet is. Check them out if you're looking for a quality animal hospital that also has excellent customer service.

Caring and sensitive to all of us. Ethical treatment. All of them were patient and kind. When my son had to put his gerbil to sleep because the poor thing started to suffer they were willing to take him that same day and took time with us even though it could have been an in and out visit. This sensitivity to my 10-year-old’s feelings over losing his first pet was priceless and we left knowing the gerbil was done right by. They even let us take the pet home to bury. It may seem silly for such a little pet that only lives a few years but so many life lessons have been learned. I’m so grateful they showed us dignity in the process.
