My Frankie was so sick and I had gone to Dr. Bob with Frankie’s regular checkups. My dog has anxiety so it’s hard to tell whether he is just anxious or really sick. Well in this case he really was sick! Not only on a full schedule did they squeeze him in the last minute, Dr. Bob listened to everything I said to make an assessment, even though it was probably time for him to go home. Frankie was having asthma attacks or so I thought. Turns out he had a toxin in his body. It was a hard weekend after we left, and the emergency room was so packed, I was on a hope and a prayer. I was getting flack from people about going the homeopathic route and I even questioned it after I came home that night and gave Frankie his meds that were prescribed. After a full body purge, this champion made it through and now is better then he was a few years ago. His breathing is good, his stomach isn’t gurgling, no more anxiety. He is like a puppy at 10 1/2. Words cannot express my gratitude. And had I gone to a modern day veterinarian, He may have well been prescribed the wrong thing and got sicker. I know now that the quality of life my dog has, has improved. Why wouldn’t you want your dog to spend its last years in as much comfort and joy as possible. I stick to my beliefs of whole body medicine, and believe this was nothing short of a miracle. Do your dog a favor and bring him to this caring and compassionate healing center. There is no better care. Dr. Bob and staff are the Cadillac of vets!

Dr. Bob is the man! If you want heal your pet from disease instead of only treating symptoms and getting no where, you want to see Dr. Bob. He's legit and knows his stuff. And every time my husband and I take our cat to see him, we just feel better. Our cat was really struggling with IBD and after seeing Dr. Bob and getting on his plan, she's doing completely better and I feel like we've gotten a lot more extra time with her. Dr. Bob and his staff are seriously the best and I'm so grateful to have found them! Thank you guys for all that you do!

Dr. Ulbrich and his staff were so good with my whole gang of rescues. All of them have pretty severe anxiety, and he has such a mellow demeanor he was able to do a full exam on my cat, which is no small task. We discussed options for dental care that will keep them safe and at ease in a way that makes me feel confident taking more proactive steps at home. The staff was also able to give my big adolescent dog a nail trim without sedation, which is honestly miraculous. He normally needs so much sedation at traditional vets and ends up having an upset tummy for days after. Will recommend this amazing clinic to all my people who want the best care for their pets.

The vets at Concord are all exceptional. I've taken all my doggies to them and couldn't be more pleased. Tech staff, front desk staff, and kennel staff are the best. Highly recommended for professional, knowledgeable, and caring services.

We have a dog that is needing surgery after you failed to diagnose him. I wasn't allowed back in the room so I honestly don't think he had an osteopathy with Anne Schwartz. He has had them done in Minnesota before so I know how he should be acting. He wasn't at all relaxed or sleepy, in fact he had the Zoomies. He also has a dislocating knee cap, which you would have felt had you listened to anything I told you over the phone. $272 later you have us call you for his report and Anne Schwartz is telling us how fat our dog is (he is 3 lbs overweight) and that he can anything I can eat. Ummm, no he can't. He shouldn't have salt, sugar or carbs like we can eat. I'm very upset about this whole visit and won't ever use holistic pet vet again.

If you're an insurance user who isn't super well-informed about how medical insurance works in the vet industry take my experience as a lesson, at least a lesson learned for THIS clinic. Having seen previous reviews about the high costs and how they come in for a small thing and end up with a big bill, I was very specific about the fact that I had insurance for the cat needed a place that took the insurance. (By 'take the insurance' I assumed it would be understood the same way as it is in every other insurance process, even CAR insurance- when you have an accident and you file a claim, the repairer BILLS THE INSURANCE... I had no idea what was coming.) After 1-an email back and forth that confirmed they took the insurance and that they would be happy to see the cat for the condition I suspected...2-some phone calls during which I was very specific about instructing her how the billing process works and when doing so that Nationwide would pay them directly, and 3- even gave them a COPY of the claim form (!!) no one said a word to me until I arrived for my cats appointment where they refused to do any of that and told me I'd have to pay up front. Having read all those reviews, I was certain to get this clarified BEFORE my cat was taken back so, luckily, I wasn't hit with a stupid out of pocket before learning the lesson. Welp, back to the drawing board. I won't be going here for services as at best- their phone staff do not listen to you at all, and at worst, their office procedures are deceptive and bait-n-switchy. I'd recommend anyone to go somewhere else.

Their client care has gone downhill. We used to be patients here for years and have had to make a switch due to interested staff, high costs, and poor communication. Unfortunately, this used to be a great place for natural care, now they just want your money.

Initially I loved this place. The doc was great, knew his knowledge of nutrition by pushing raw food, offered anesthesia free dental cleaning by an absolutely gifted tech from Seattle. All of this was great until my 13 year old Flame Point Siamese kitty was taken in for a little bump on his lip. It looked like a little wound from him playing with his feline "sister". During that time they suggested a dose of antibiotics, but not a typical conventional type. Milo has always had a weak immune system and has leaky gut so I was very cautious explaining why I was nervous with an expectation of having immune support to go along with it. I decided to trust him with the immune support as additional protection vs the countless hours of personal research I knew to be true and within a week it all started to unfold. Initially it was a mild seizure (confirmed by another holistic vet) which lasted a whole evening and into the night- the first sign of vaccinosis. Then he started to bite at his skin until it would bleed and his ears started expelling discharge. These are all signs of chemical buildup in the system and brain. Since then, I've moved back home to Ohio, but I have spent hundreds of hours over the past few years researching, thousands of dollars fixing the damage and many visits at holistic vets in Seattle and Ohio putting my little man back together. We're still dealing with the after effects, however it's not as bad anymore thanks to good nutrition, lots of natural remedies and thuya (highly recommend). I'm just so thankful to still have Milo around and we're going to keep on his immune system until his last breath hoping that will be a very long time from this date. I do still believe in what they are doing here, however make sure you do your research on gut health and healing. It applies to people and animals in a lot of the same way.

I cannot recommend this natural vet practice, specifically Dr. Ann Schwartz. I’ve used a natural vet for our dog, Lucy for the past year due to recurrent episodes of GI inflammation. We are living in Beaverton temporarily, and Lucy was having another GI episode, vomiting every morning for the past month. After a phone consult with our past vet, & 2 weeks of continuing symptoms after new supplements and herbs from the phone consult , Pur long distance vet advised me to see a natural practitioner in person here and made an appointment to have her seen in person at the Holistic Vet Clinic. My first red flag for this practice was that they didn’t even weigh my dog when we were in the office (essential when my dog had been vomiting for a month). When I mentioned that they hadn’t done that, they said “they had simply forgot” and didn’t go back to do it. Within 5 minutes of the appointment, I knew we were going no where fast with Dr. Schwartz as the questions asked were not very relevant. I had sent a history of Lucy’s GI & systemic inflammatory issues for the doctor to read before the appointment and the office had never given them to her (not her fault per say, just how the office is run to not communicate that info to her in a complicated situation). Since she hadn’t reviewed anything, all her questions were redundant. But perhaps the most shocking thing to me as a pet owner was the lack of interaction the vet had with my dog. Hardly even wanted to touch her to examine her! And I had to specifically ask her to look in her ears, feel her stomach, & take her temperature. Very unprofessional. Look elsewhere for a natural vet. This is coming from a person who currently uses holistic care for her dogs, and not someone shocked at the difference between a traditional western vet and a natural vet. The pro: I asked to end the appointment after 10 minutes in because I was dissatisfied, and they charged me a prorated fee for the minutes I was there instead of the 1 hr new client fee that would have been around $200. I had used up their time and was willing to pay the prorated fee, even though I had wished I had never made the appointment in the first place. *If the office manager or owner wants to contact me, please free to call me to discuss this. *

Re: Your review of the Holistic Pet Vet Clinic on Google Dear Ms. Strong: I find myself very puzzled by your recent review of my clinic on Google regarding the care that your cat, Milo, received in back in early 2016. You state that Polyflex, the antibiotic I prescribed for Milo, is not a conventional type of antibiotic. Polyflex is commonly used in veterinary medicine for patients with recurrent upper respiratory infections, as Milo has experienced several times in the past. I chose this antibiotic because as an injectable it does not disrupt the normal gut flora or have any side effects on the gastrointestinal system. Here is a little more information for you: Polyflex (ampicillin for injectable suspension) is a broad-spectrum penicillin which has bactericidal activity against a wide range of common gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Used for dogs and cats: Upper respiratory tract infections due to hemolytic streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis and Pasteurella sp. We followed up with natural antibiotics and immune support, which does not disrupt the gut. You also state that Milo suffered from vaccinosis. The change to a raw food diet and the homeopathic I prescribed may have allowed his body to release old toxins, which we could have managed with natural methods had you followed up with me, but I only had the opportunity to see him twice. Milo did not receive a vaccination under my care, nor would I have given him one due to his medical condition at that time. Did he receive a vaccination elsewhere? You were not able to provide us with any previous veterinary records for Milo so I could not review the treatment he received previously. You also infer that “thuya‟ (correct spelling is “thuja“) should have been given to Milo. We use thuja for many conditions, but I chose silica because I felt it was a better choice and, like thuja, it is a vaccinosis remedy. While I am very sorry to hear of Milo’s further medical problems, I wish you had consulted me further for consistent evaluation and treatment. Sincerely, Robert W. Ulbrich, VMD, CVH, CVSMT

Our Great Dane/Mastiff, Snoopy, is getting close to 9 and was really struggling after he slipped and fell; something I wasn't sure he was going to recover from since we were having a hard time managing his pain symptoms. We scheduled an appointment for chiropractic care and noticed a marked improvement in his mobility and activity level. He was greeting us at the door again after 2 months of not wanting to get up even with pain meds!!! I'm not sure how much more time we have with our Snoopy, but I am grateful for every extra moment of his happiness and comfort. Insert tears here.

HORRIBLE! Brought my dog here because he had surgery for a ruptured disc and I wanted to see if chiropractic care would benefit him. He wasn't in any pain, just had restricted movement and some tremors. He got progressively worse the day of his adjustment to the point I had to administer pain killers and crate him for the first time since the surgery. The next day he could barely walk. I went in to return some treats. Erika was there but was at lunch and couldn't be bothered to speak to me. Didn't receive credit for the treats as promised at the point of sale either. The check is in the mail!

Friendly front desk and assistants with plenty of treats in office. Vet was an hour late for appointment and never apologized for waiting. Was charged 35 for missed appointment on prior scheduled visit. Would have be nice after waiting for so long if they would have waived the missed appointment fee(first time offender) but they didn’t.
