I just called to request my dogs rabies vaccination record. Elizabeth answered and while I told her why I was calling, she had already used my phone number to pull up my pets information and she simply asked if it was for "Sophie" and if I would like to use the email address she had in front of her. It seems so simple for her to do this but how many times do we punch in an account or social security number on a phone tree only to have to give it again to the human once we get through? This type of efficiency is exactly what I experience each time I use Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital. Thank you!

Blown away at the level of concern and care their staff extends! Our dog is not a patient of this clinic, but when she became sick and our usual vet wasn’t available, they went above and beyond to help. If they begin taking new clients again, we’ll definitely be first in line. Really extraordinary - thank you!

Brought two cats in, one for vax and another for an infection. Both times was treated wonderfully!!! They don't try to pry money from you!!! Love them!

Dr. Eric and the team at Hillsdale Vet have provided exemplary care of our beloved cat child for the past 3 years. Our cat has gotten one dental cleaning, as well as yearly wellness care and one emergency visit during this time. Dr. Eric is a cat dad himself and has a wonderful gentleness to his care. My family postponed our annual visit due to the pandemic by a handful of months until this week. I was impressed by their safety measures of parking lot drop off/pick up with phone consult during the examination. It was hard not being with our fuzzy baby during the exam but it went beautifully smooth nonetheless. Highly recommend.

My first time visit to this clinic with our aging canine was a good experience. My questions were adequately addressed, and the options to treat safely and effectively the dog's apparent problems were clearly explained without a push for selling unnecessary services.

Scheduling is always easy and the staff is patient and affectionate with our rescue. They provide clear instructions and follow up. I am happy with their service!

Adjusted their business well to Covid. All services, exams and costs are discussed on the phone from the car. Only the pet gets into the clinic at this time.

Love this place! Been taking our cats and dog there for several years now and have always had a great experience. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and they always take good care of my kids. We've had a few emergencies and they have been wonderful. If you are looking for a new vet I would highly recommend them.

We just moved here from out of state. We had a pup in the past that made us very cautious of the vets we let see our pets. Trying to find a vet during a pandemic is already a challenge. Moreso when you have little trust. I called 4 different vets. They were all willing to see my guy, but they wanted to come to the car, take him, and bring him back when they were done. I was not willing to go this route for our very first ever visit in a new state. Hillsdale went the extra mile. They not only kept open communication leading up to the appointment, but they created an opportunity to Skype while he was in the room so I could see him being cared for, could ask questions, and talk to the vet through the appointment. He had an issue with his eye the next day, I sent a photo on their app asking if I should make an appointment, and they called me before I could even set my phone down. So excited to find a new vet that I love just as much as our old one.

We were very happy with our first visit with our elderly dog and young frisky cat. Patient with review of past health issues, knowledgeable suggestions for future care, and responsive to requests.

We had a horrible experience here. Our 15 year old cat is slowly dying of kidney failure. But rather than work with us to make her end times better and prolong her life with a self-administrated hydration regiment, they insisted that they had to run tests, a battery of test all the better, for $600. After two exams that that led to the same conclusion -- "we cannot be sure", I sought advice from the excellent Healthy Pets NW, who recommended bone broth. My cat is doing fine drinking bone broth and eating tuna fish and salmon, much cheaper than going through the expensive song and dance to arrive at the same conclusion. If you go to this place, be prepared to spend a lot of money running tests. This is understandably their business model; it's how they can afford their business. Much like a medical doctor who can make you feel stupid for asking questions, this place is more interested in protocols that sustain their business than it is engaging the customer in a holistic conversation about needs and outcomes. One should not be made to feel guilty for not wanting to pay $600 for tests for a 15 year old cat.

I love our vet! Saw us late notice

We are incredibly grateful for the loving care Dr. Schram and the entire team at Hillsdale Vet gives to our fur babies - and actually gives to our whole family. We first came to them when our two kitties got sick within months of each other. The team had a very evidence based approach, gave us lots of space to make decisions, and when some of those decisions were extremely hard didn't show a shred of bias or judgement about the choices that were right for our family. We are so glad we found providers who have not only the hard skills to care for our pets, but also the soft skills to hold our experience during challenging times. We're thrilled to have all our animals being cared for by Hillsdale Vet.

A bit expensive (even for a vet) and they don't seem very willing to work with payments. But the staff is wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Never did I dream of such a pleasant experience during a vet appointment! Elizabeth, Mercy, Dr. Schram and techs were highly accommodating, reassuring and warm. It was my kitty's first ever vet experience (not to mention his first time ever outside the apartment) but the atmosphere instantly put us at ease. Elizabeth is so highly personable, polite and professional and creates the most favorable first impression you could ever hope for. Dr. Schram and her tech were so caring for our kitty boy; handling our baby like he was their own. I am so pleased with our experience. I will happily refer anyone to Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital; it feels like home :)

Everyone here is so helpful and caring. Their vets are super knowledgeable and spend lots of time with each client making sure they answer all your questions and fully examine your pet. Recently they've started being more transparent with costs and presenting options based on cost which has been very helpful in reducing sticker shock and planning care.
