A good place to bring your beloved pet. They had quality services and amazing staff, they were caring and respectful. A beautiful memorial box for your family pet.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Completely understanding with our situation and even stayed late on their day off. I am forever grateful for making the best of our bad situation. We were out of town and they did everything they could to help us out.

Thank you for taking care of my love, I’ll miss him, he’s now resting and I’ll be waiting for the day I’ll reunite with him ❤️

I have worked with Family Animal Services since they were established, both as a referring veterinary practice and as an individual whose pets have all been cremated here. There is no other crematorium I would recommend. Service is always prompt and courteous, fees are fair, and I have complete trust that the ashes I get back are from my pet and no other, presented in a beautiful box.

They helped us greatly in time of need. We didn't know what to do with our sweet friend that passed and they managed to fit us in the same day that i called. They were very respectful and the box that they offer is so beautiful. I am honestly glad i went woth them , made the passing of a friend a little bit more bearable.

Highly recommend, they were very kind and made a lovely memento for me when I brought my cat in. Also very reasonably priced.

If you are looking for services for the loss of your beloved pet, I highly recommend Family Animal Services. Lynn is amazing! She is so kind and caring and makes you feel like you are leaving your fur baby in caring hands. She takes the time you need to listen and assist you in decision making and is so very comforting in a most difficult time. As an added bonus, the prices are very reasonable for the services they offer.

We brought our kitty Whispers here when she passed away at home, we wanted to have her cremated privately and her cremains returned to us. Lynn was awesome, professional yet compassionate. She was great with helping us memorialize our baby girl. She not only got clippings of her fur but ink paw prints as well. With every thing done the price was very reasonable. Thanks Lynn, for everything!

Last week I lost my best friend of 13 years and I thought picking up her ashes was going to be a nauseating experience but I ended up being filled with joy as I was pleasantly surprised by a beautiful gift, a casting of her paw print beautifully placed and embellished with pretty little trinkets. Thank you so much guys, you have no idea what this means to me. I thought I’d never get to touch her again but I get to hold her hand the entire ride home.

I cannot put into words how much I appreciate what Family Animal Services did for our perfect boy, Bailey. Compassionate, patient, understanding, accommodating, caring... every possible word that you could hope to use for anyone who helps you with your furry family member can be used for their staff and services. I cannot say enough perfect things about them because it is admittedly still very painful for my wife and I to reflect on this time with our boy, but please know they are the very best. There are few people as great as Lynn.

Overall, everything was good except I found a squiggly metal piece in the ashes that I received. I took out the ashes to put some in a necklace and there was metal in the bag. As far as I know, my cat did not have metal in her...

A year ago, you helped me with the passing of my sweet queen Sadie Marie. This was the greatest loss I have faced in my life so far. I’m so grateful to the experience you gave me. Indeed those circumstances, I don’t think I could imagine a more compassionate and better place for Sadie to have been taken care of. Also I really appreciate that you sent her home in a beautiful carved wooden box. It further goes to show the respect you have for what you do and who you care for (even after death). Thank you. I totally appreciate Lynn! She was very congenial on the phone, and agreed to meet me at Family Animal Services on *Labor Day*, so I could drop off the remains of my beloved dog Zoe. On top of that, for communal cremation, they charge $1/lb. They deserve 5 stars! Thanks, Lynn.

My beloved Shih Tzu, Lewis, recently passed. My vet recommended Family Animal Services. This place was truly a blessing. I was beyond distraught and Barbara was understanding and helpful. I absolutely loved the room with the mural. I got beautiful photos of my fur baby and once I received his ashes, I felt I had a little closure.

They were very compassionate with me and very helpful in dealing with the loss of my best friend.

I highly recommend them I will never take my pets anywhere else ???? they are the best

Excellent services and compassionate business in a time when most needed. Just picked up our baby boy Lio's ashes and ceramic paw prints - I am so grateful for Family Animal Services so kindly handling our dear Lio's services. The wooden urn box Lio came in is absolutely beautiful and his paw print are perfectly imprinted on the ceramic plates. From my family's heart and mine, thank you.

Service was excellent, the person was nice, and he was very friendly and helpful. We brought our hamster Koko there, after she had to be euthanized. He allowed us to say our goodbyes and was very compassionate. R.I.P Koko.

*Cross posted* I have wanted to write a review since the day I received my ferret Barrel's ashes almost 2 years ago. It's just been a bit hard for me emotionally, and I regret not doing so sooner. Family Animal Services presented what was left of my prescious baby in the most dignified, and meaningful way. His ashes were placed in a beautifully furnished wooden box with carved designs. It was then tucked in a sheer brown bag. They took his prints in plaster, stamped his name, and tied a ribbon through it. They also included a sweet poem with their info on the back. It gave me peace. When my moms bird died (I loved her as my own), I called them and asked if I could order another couple cards. He send them for free. I had told him how much their presentation of my little guy meant to me, and shared my disappointment that they put my little cockatiel in a dog size metal container with paw prints. It actually hurt to see her remains like that. I also had previously lost a ferret (due to anesthesia which really hurt), and her ashes were given in a plastic container. He paw print was on an easily breakable clay that broke easily. When I shared my other experiences he offered to place my birdie in a new box. Her remains are in Ohio now, so it's difficult to get her back to Portland. Family pet services did an amazing job. I'm not 100% sure how easy it is to request a cremation company, but I would absolutely find a way (I was at Southwest Animal Hospital in Beaverton, and that is who they used). Knowing what great care they took of my guy, I was sure it was his ashes, and that his body was cared for even in death. Thank you so much for your kindness, and going above and beyond for me. I meant the world.

I had my cat privately cremated here. They were very professional and compassionate. I am very happy I used them for my lost loved one. I adore the box and the paw print.

Brought my pet in for a private cremation. I was surprised by how clean facility was (not sure what I was expecting) and how easy it was to get my pet in. Staff super supportive and completely professional. Now here's the kicker. What I paid for standard got me my private cremation but a nice box for her ashes to go in. It was beautiful.and fast. I'm not sure if it was my timing but I took here in at 11 am yesterday and picked her up at noon today, which has been a HUGE comfort to us and our kids. I would recommend them to anyone who asks. I think that they even pick up (for a fee). I have 3 other dogs who are oldies but goodies, when the time comes we will going to them again.
