The vet techs and doctors here are the nicest and most knowledgeable around. Quick responses to phone calls and emails and a full service animal hospital means you can get a diagnosis, meds, surgery and most other treatments to keep your furry buddies healthy. They have an excellent puppy socializing class too!

I dare you to find a vet office with nicer staff.

Dr. Phelps was thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. We have a very anxious dog, but the staff did everything possible to keep her comfortable. This was her easiest vet visit by far. We look forward to continuing to work with BYVH.

Hands down the best veterinarian we've ever been to. My cats are typically very timmid anywhere that isn't home, but Dr. Hooper and her team put them at ease so quickly. Made the entire expreience as stress-free as possible for all of us! Would abslutely recommend them to anyone!

The vet listens to me and helped my save my dogs life.

Initially, I was nervous because our family chihuahua tends to be quite reactive. But the staff surprised me! Within seconds, our dog was so calm that the vet can carry him around, clip his nails, and get blood work done. I also appreciate how transparent the staff are about our dog’s health, what we would need to do, and how much it would cost every step of the way. Definitely recommend this vet for anyone looking for a go to!

Excellent job with our dogs spay. They did get the quote incorrect at first (accidentally quoted feline spay which is a bit cheaper) but it all got sorted out. We've seen them for initial puppy exam, spay, and stitches removal (all during COVID) and it's always been wonderful service. They are in demand and sometimes you have to wait for an appointment but it's worth it. We're sad to move away and have to find a new vet. Thanks so much for loving our little pup.

I had an amazing visit when I brought my senior diabetic cat in for a wellness exam. I don’t think I have ever felt as welcomed, received great advice and felt as listened to by a vet provider before! I would highly recommend bring your animal to this clinic for care!

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this vet! My very first appointment, they came out and with great energy and were calling my dog’s name and making him feel very comfortable in what normally could be a stressful interaction for a dog. My dog required a surgery to remove a mass and the pricing seemed fair and the final cost was even below the estimate that I had been quoted. Due to the surgery, my dog had to be seen over several appointments and he was SO excited to go to the vet each time. Nothing but professionalism and friendliness! Highly recommend.

Highly recommend! We followed Dr. Alayson from before she opened this practice and will be lifelong patients. They all take such good care of our furry family members and treat them as such.

With one of our cats going through surgery recently, it feels like we've been here a lot these days. It's never fun to spend hundreds of dollars on a pet, but we feel like Dr. Hooper helps us make informed decisions. They were also able to fit our cat in for an urgent appointment, which saved us so much time and stress of having to take her to an actual urgent care facility. We're new patients but I imagine we'll be bringing our kitties here for as long as we're in the area.

Dr. Phelps has been a godsend for our pooch and our family! She helped us out of a very difficult situation (highly questionable treatment at a different vet that made a complicated/painful injury worse), was responsive throughout, and her medical expertise led to a solution. She helped us navigate referrals to specialists and explained everything clearly, which really eased our minds. On top of all that she came in on a holiday to fill a prescription for our pup Bc he was suffering. Couldn’t recommend more highly ✌️

I took my rescue Juneau to Brooklyn Yard for an initial checkup after I adopted him and had just the absolute best experience. From the folks I talked to at scheduling, to Alyson (the vet herself! spelling uncertain) who took the time to chat with me everyone was great to work with. Whenever I talk to people who need a good vet I recommend Brooklyn Yard and I will never take Juneau anywhere else. Highly recommend for rescues who may be nervous around vets or who have uncertain past medical histories.

Work in health care at OHSU and have been on call due to covid. Had to cancel a few appointments due to the pandemic and work hours up at the hospital. Been trying to get my senior dog seen, but they are now not letting us make an appointment, even after I expected explained the situation. Made me talk to multiple people before telling me they wouldn't let us make an appointment. Super considerate and understanding of them... Not. Update due to owner response: This is not accurate information. I reached out both times to cancel the appointment within an appropriate amount of time and got a busy signal/ no response when emailed or left a message. Was only informed that I ”no call no showed”. And was not heard when I told them about my efforts of communication. The very passive aggressive owner response, is affirming the relief I have, that I did end up giving them my business.

I love this place! The doctors and the entire staff are fear-free certified and are able to be in gentle relationship with both our rescue dogs, rather than just handling them. One of our dogs was sick over the holidays and the vet kept in daily contact with me through email, even though the clinic was closed. I highly recommend this wonderful animal clinic.

We followed Dr Phelps from VCA. She has always been awesome and I feel like she has always treated our animals like they were her own. Her staff is great as well. Highly recommend

Simply the best!!! ???? Family of three large breed dogs here.... Brooklyn was recommended to us when our original vet was unavailable. From flea meds to the recent passing of our 14yo lab, Dr Alayson and her amazing team have been there for us - clearly, calmly, succinctly. Long story short: we couldn't have more confidence in Dr Alayson after witnessing her skill and expertise. While we loved our other vet, we have stayed w/Brooklyn because we adore them, believe in them, and want to give them our business. Big thanks and love to Dr Alayson, Maya, Andrea, and all!!

I super appreciate the team at Brooklyn Yard Veterinary Hospital. My cat is on their wellness plan and his recent dentist day was fully covered--super helpful and a weight off my shoulders knowing he is in good hands. The vet staff are very caring and knowledgeable and always answer as many questions as I have. Highly recommend.

I took my cat in for a general visit. This was her first visit to Brooklyn Yard, and she has a couple of prescriptions from a previous vet that Brooklyn Yard was able to order. I had always had an issue that I had to use a razor blade to cut to cut the pills into fourths to feed my cat. The pills are small enough that this was always a pain to do. The wonderful folk at Brooklyn Yard used a different tool to cut the pills in fourths before they handed them to me! When I walked in, the woman at the desk greeted me with a huge smile and said she was super excited to see me and tell me what they had done. That was A+++ customer service.
