I have never been to a vet with more friendly staff that clearly loves all the animals they work with❤️ Thank you for everything you do.

This is one of the best Veterinarians I have experienced. The staff is very friendly. The doctor is very thorough and presents you with options of treatments and care. They show genuine concern for your pet.

The staff are all wonderfully kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They seem to truly care about the pets and I have no concerns about their vet care. Unfortunately the two times I've been there I feel like I'm being upcharged and recommended unnecessary tests with a healthy 6 month old kitten. There's always another stool sample or blood test. I was also disappointed to find out there's a tech-exam fee associated with a vaccine visit that in addition to the vaccine cost, 3 weeks after having a vet-exam which was unexpected and feels unnecessary (temp, weight, flea brush when he's on flea meds). Perhaps there's a better way to offer additional tests and then add them to the visit, rather than having them on the invoice they give you and you having to decline them and they cross it off.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Walker for quite a few years now. She is thorough, communicative and compassionate. Even though I live in Beaverton, I still go out of my way to take my cats to her.

This is a great place! They really care about my pet, and are super helpful when he is sick. I like how they are open about treatment pricing prior to administration. I am so happy I found this place! I moved out of the neighborhood and still bring my fur bud here!

Top notch care! I've been a customer of Best Friends for four years and have used their services many times, and I can say without a doubt that they are a fantastic group of caring professionals. I strongly recommend them if you're in the area!

I began taking my cat Oliver here for her first vaccinations followed by her spay procedure, and in between those visits the front desk has always been very kind, prompt and thoughtful in responding to my hyper-paranoid texts regarding anything and everything that I think could be wrong with her. Plus they always remember Oliver and she is always welcomed with open arms, which is all I could ever really ask for from a vet! Not to mention today they got my Frenchie, Tilly, in on a whim’s notice when we were concerned for several reasons after we couldn’t get her in at her regular vet. Initially they told me they’d call me back in an hour to check back, and you can bet they did! Which I sure appreciate. We got Tilly back with cans of wet food and some very relevant prescription medication to help us help her feel better at home. The only thing I’d recommend is possibly a referral program of some sort. But thank you guys so much for another great visit! ♥️

The vet didn't seem to want to answer my questions. Felt like I was being rushed out. But this is my pets care and they should understand that I would want to understand what they're saying. Especially when they ask for alot of money

Had to wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room with my cat. Somewhat unusual, given the Covid-19 situation. The landscaping person was running the edger the entire time. My cat is scared of loud noises at baseline. It would be nice if landscaping could be done on Sundays. It really freaked my cat out and we were dependent on the cats compliance during this visit to get the inhaler technique down.

I implore anyone considering this vet to explore other options in the area. The members of the support staff are very professional and kind, but Dr. Walker is one of the worst vets I have ever encountered. The client (animal + owner) does not seem to be her top priority.

Very friendly that’s why I give 5 starts BUT waiting time is long.

Went for my cat. Very friendly staff, easy to work with, stayed within the budget they quoted. Happy Kitty = Happy Family! I really like their car side service, much nicer to hang in my car then in a waiting room. Great Covid precautions.

An extremely professional and caring clinic. Have known Dr. Walker for years. She and her assistant Doctors are the best. 20+ points for this clinic. I LOVE them all.

I'm not really sure what kind of star rating to give because the service is excellent and the staff is very friendly, but it feels like they're always trying to charge me for something that wasn't the objective of the appointment, and they spring it on me while they still have the cat in the back. I just got back from a vaccination appointment where they told me the cat seemed anxious, and they wanted to sell me anti anxiety meds. Um... yeah, I put the cat in a cramped box and brought him to an unfamiliar place where strangers stuck him with a needle, of course he's anxious. Kinda felt like they were suggesting I pay extra to make the cat easier for them to deal with at future appointments. No thanks, that's your job not mine. They also were very persistent about it and I practically had to demand that they give me the cat back without the anxiety meds. I mean, I get it, they need to up sell and keep customers coming back to stay in business, but their method makes me feel very uncomfortable. The anecdote above is just one example of how every appointment goes.

I went to see Dr. Walker because my cat caught a horrible flu and was sneezing all over us and the house. I had also been to 5 different vets prior to that over the last year, who could not fix the problem with my cat’s weeping eye, decreasing appetite and weight loss, and leaving puddles of clear vomit all over the place. Dr. Walker, out of 5 different vets, was the only one who isolated the correct problem, prescribed antibiotics that actually worked, and a food that stopped upsetting her tummy, AND gave her supplements that immediately improved and then kicked her worsening flu in about 3 days flat. It also left her feeling better than BEFORE she caught the flu. She gained weight, she’s stopped sleeping all day and crying all night, and she’s playing and happy again. I cannot recommend Dr. Walker enough for putting an end to our year-long ordeal.

They always make me feel like my pets are the most precious, sweet, and handsome that they've ever met. I'm sure they do this for everyone, but hell if it doesn't make me feel good every time.

The best vet in Portland!! Treated our cat with the most respect and was extremely helpful in diagnosing the problem. We just moved to Oregon and we were worried we weren't going to find a vet that we liked and I'm so glad our first experience was amazing!

Last year we lost our beloved companion, Carlos The Dog, to an aggressive cancer. It was the hardest experience for both him and us. We weren't sure when the final moment would be. We were worried it may happen at night or on a weekend when the outfit was closed. Dr Walker offered to do a home visit and stayed she would be available at any hour. She offered to provide her personal emergency number so that we could relax knowing he wouldn't suffer in his last moments. She was beyond supportive and is a wonderful Dr., all around. I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic above all others. The VERY BEST care. They work with you financially when you need it. The staff are equally great and do amazing job all around. Follow up care is always pursued and offered. Have an unrelated question about your pets? Ask away. Need your pets scripts filled... Np! Everything you need is here and with the most exceptional care and love. We will never go anywhere else now that we've found the best!

I've been taking my boy Bruce here since he was a pup and they've always treated him with all the love and care I could hope for. They've been extremely knowledgeable and ready to tackle any issue that may arise.

We drive in from McMinnville, just so we can take our dogs to Dr. Walker. Our dogs have, unfortunately, had more issues than usual, recently. Dr. Walker and her team have been very accommodating, fitting us in for last minute appointments. We are also allowed to come in during our visits, which we have found to be a rarity with other vets, since the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Walker goes out of her way to provide thorough communication on our treatment options, as well as the conditions we are addressing. We tend to lean toward a more holistic approach with our pets and I feel like our preferences are respected, and again, we are given all of our options. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for veterinary service.

Each time we've been to this clinic, we come in asking for one thing and most of the time is spent with the tech and Dr. Walker showing plans and treatment costs. I get it, they're great stuff to treat your pet with but when you come in asking for help with one thing and the doctor spends most of the time trying to sell you stuff, it doesn't make you want to come back. Spent $59 on an exam about eye irritation and no recommendations for the irritation were given and instead prescription flea treatment was recommended. Worst part was that two days later I notice in my Promotions folder on Gmail that this clinic is offering "Free exams until April 30" and so I called to see if I could get that refunded and they said all they can do is give me $59 credit for my next visit. This makes me not want to continue going to this vet as it doesn't feel like they care about the pet or pet owners, rather just the money involved.

I would not recommend this vet. Twice i have taken my dog for one thing and without my consent they have given my dog a vaccine that i specifically asked them not to. The first time they apologized and refunded me. When it happened a second time i was flabbergasted. This vet will try to swindle you into getting things that are unecessary for your animal and up charge you for them. DONT GO HERE.

I dropped a 5 star review here a few years ago and had to come back and update it. I want to start with the fact that Dr. Walker is an incredible vet. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, patient, calm, and easy to work with. The problem seems that she doesn’t know how to run her business effectively and the quality of care and service has significantly declined over the last few years because of it. My dog is a senior and we have had to come in fairly often over the last few years, sometimes multiple times in a single month. The clinic seems to have a very high turnover rate with her vet techs and receptionists, with a fresh batch of faces every 6 months or so. She overbooks appointments, meaning they are almost always very busy and understaffed. Every single time we come in lately it’s the front staff apologizing for being busy and a guaranteed wait of 15-30+ minutes before you’re even seen or spoken to. It’s incredibly frustrating. Why schedule me in for this appointment in the first place if it’s not going to happen on time, ever? It’s gotten much worse with the pandemic. I understand the worry/need to make money and stay in business, but over scheduling every single day is not the way to do it. The other aspect is how expensive her services are compared to other vet clinics in the area. When I first started coming I really didn’t mind because I understand it’s a small clinic and felt that I was getting the time and service I was paying for. Now, it’s not worth it. I’m paying what feels like double the appropriate cost to sit and wait every single appointment and get poor, rushed service. I love Dr. Walker but I hope she figures things out soon. I will not be coming back any more and would not recommend this clinic to people in the area.
