Usually they are super great. After 9 years with their pet policy plan I'm cancelling. It takes months to get an appointment anymore and in the meantime I'm paying for nothing. I'll take my pets healthcare somewhere else that was able to handle COVID traffic.

Tried to set up an appointment 3 times. Each appointment was a few weeks out and was canceled the day before. The staff complained that they were understaffed. Not my problem. If you're understaffed then don't take on new clients or manage your calendars better.

Dr. Jawahir and the rest of the staff today were super kind. The pandemic is hitting everyone hard, and pet health stuff can be stressful. Just be patient and kind with the staff, and they will do their best. I appreciated the information and kindness they showed towards me and my pet today.

Such a pleasant experience here. I couldn’t get an appointment on short notice at any other banfield in the area. This place went out of their way to pencil me in to see my poor baby boy Albert the fat cat, and they were so kind and caring to him! Maxx, working the front, was especially helpful, welcoming, and very informative! This place puts a lot of care into the work they do and ensures your pet gets the best and most caring treatment possible. Definitely one of the best experiences at a veterinary hospital I’ve had in a long time.

Best Banfield location in Portland. They treat both of our dogs like family. The only downside to the Irvington location is that it can be a bit difficult to schedule a visit if you need to get in quickly, so we sometimes have to take them elsewhere.

Axel loves coming here! He’s gotten to the point where the gets super excited on car rides because he thinks he’s going to see his friends. The whole staff at this location is super patient and is always so helpful with questions

I had been taking my dog to this Banfield location for almost 2 years and my experience just got worse and worse. Since it was difficult to find a new vet during Covid, I thought I might just try and stick with them in hopes that it was just because it was a stressful time and maybe they would get better. For normal routine things, this place is somewhat ok, but definitely not great. It doesn't even matter though because they have some of the rudest staff I have ever encountered at a vet clinic before. That alone could be reason enough to not go here. However, the final straw for me was the last two combined encounters that I had with these people. I spent about $200 on one visit just to have the vet leave my dog's issues unresolved. When I called back a week later letting them know that his condition had gotten worse and to find out what I could do, the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and she callously refused to help. I was shocked and so I politely let her know that I would not be returning to Banfield. She didn't seem to care about that, but more importantly she didn't care at all about my dog. Fair warning on this place. I wouldn't trust them. It's worth it to pay a bit more money and wait a little bit longer for a vet clinic that truly cares.

While their employees are always very friendly and it is a reliable vet for check up and scheduled events, good luck getting in if any unseen need arises. Banfield as a company has basically overloaded every location making it impossible for them to keep up with needs. My dog was experiencing a bad rash and was in pain. The best they could do to get me in was almost 3 weeks out. No help at all! Will be canceling my wellness plan, which is basically useless, and finding another vet.

We have been Banfield customers for awhile now & were going to the location in NW until we felt our ailing dog was not being tended to with care or empathy. We went out on a limb & tried this location; Dr. Rife (sp?) & the team have been so wonderful & understanding in the difficult times. We will not take our pets to any other location now—our dog was treated with such love & compassion, & that’s all a pet parent could ask for.

They are still following strick Covid protocols and having a new puppy we really wanted to be with him for his first visit. Unfortunately he had to go in without us, the staff was so sweet and were very careful and made Chicago feel safe. He had a wonderful first experience. The Vet called immediately after and updated us with all the information. So respecting covid and all that entails Irvington Banfield did amazing.

Dr Nyasha was rude unprofessional all the yrs of going to veterinarians In Portland, Never had issues before, I suggest maybe training in Customers service.

Very good experience with Broadway location over the last four months with my puppy. We visited for vaccines, boosters and check-ups 1-2 times each month. We are now all caught up until the end of the year and since I've moved a little further out I am going to be switching to the Banfield on Glisan and hope to have as good of an experience with them. During Covid it has been curbside only except for the first visit where I had to go in to set up my payment account. Every staff member I've met in person or over the phone have been very informative and professional. Veterinarians are available to talk to when needed and my pet is handled with care. I really like the online platform where I can see all of my records whenever I need to. No complaints from me.

Left me outside waiting for the appointment. No one ever came out to get my dog for her vaccination appointment in the 30minutes I waited and never even called to check with me after I left. I won't be back to that location even though it's very close to my house.

I did not have a good experience as a new client trying to schedule an appointment. I scheduled online, and they accepted and confirmed my appointment via email. I got a call a week later telling me they aren’t accepting new patients right now (although they’re website is advertising new patient DEALS). It would have been nice to know this sooner considering your scheduling 2-3 weeks out for appointments. Now I have to start over somewhere else when my pet needs attention and I was anticipating my appointment. Another week goes by and I get a call 24 hours before my “cancelled” appointment by a clueless staff member calling to confirm my appointment. So, did you cancel it? Because it seems the appointment is still in your system. Poor communication and bad customer service. I won’t be taking my pets here, and do not recommend.

They said they were not equipped to give my cat flee treatment!!!! Missed diagnosed my cat for 8 months. Costing my cat to suffer.

They really care about your pets. I had to put my cat down and they were there with me the entire time comforting me it helped a lot.

They are so incredibly helpful & made the process of getting my cat diagnosed & set up with his diabetes stuff so simple. Thanks to them, he's feeling much better!

Absolutely THE WORST! Worst customer service! The staff is rude! The doctors are incompetent and ANY PLACE WOULD BE BETTER THAN GOING HERE

The staff at Banfield have been absolutely fabulous, I don't think I could possibly appreciate them more. Everyone from the receptionist, to the techs, to the veterinarian themselves, have taken the time to explain everything to me, and they've always showed honest, heartfelt concern for all of my pets. They are a little more spendy than my previous vet, but I still feel the value is there.

This Banfield is absolutely amazing! I can not say enough good things about the people here and also the wellness plan. I know the people here really care about my dogs and I have no problem dropping them off knowing my dogs are in good hands. They keep tabs on everything, keeping me in the loop, and answer any question I have. Thank you Banfield for being amazing and loving my two dogs!

Sunday morning 7:30 i call bandfield pet hospital at 82 Avenue and ask to speak whith the doctir that prescribed my dog medication the previous Thursday, no luck she is bussy, i left a message to please change my dog medication from liquid to Pills, they say that they will call me. By 12:00 pm I show up at the clinics and ask for the same request, I spoke whith the customer service and explain that we will wait for the medicine at the parking, after one hour and 30 minutes I go inside againg to ask for the same medication and they told me that they have no odea that I was waiting outside the doctor on duty hold hostage my dog medication just becouse i don't want to comply to her suggestion, very uncomfortable my visit to the bandfield pet hospital
