I've taken my dogs there for 22 years. Dr. Curll is the kindest vet.

We had a very disappointing and scary experience with this clinic. We struggled to get prompt updates on our dog, even after reporting urgent issues. We received inaccurate information about our dog's test results, and all of the results came days later than promised. We were also charged for multiple items that we never received and had to contact the clinic for reimbursement. Despite explaining multiple times that we were referred by family members but were bringing our OWN dog for treatment, the clinic confused our contact information and called our family members instead of us for updates. I know 2020 was a difficult year to provide services. We interacted with multiple, kind front line staff who tried to improve the situation. Our issues were with clinic leadership. I will never bring my dog here again.

As a certified veterinary technician I am totally mortified with how this practice is ran. My mom's dog was left to suffer, his issues were untreated properly he had an infection that they didn't bother to find out where or how bad or what kind of infection it was she just treated him willy-nilly. If I could give no starts I would.

STAY AWAY from this place. I have never been treated so poorly by a human being especially a dr. First hand experience as an employee. I feel bad for any animal that is taken here let alone the owner and the way the dr treats others is sad and out of line. The staff on the other hand is amazing and work there ass’s off they don’t deserve to be treated like dirt.

I love this hospital. The doctor has seen a lot and knows a lot. The staff and Doctor are always kind and Professional. I had to say goodbye to my dear old dog there. They made it a peaceful and serene experience and for that I am eternally grateful. They care!

If you love your pet stay far, far away from Doctor Curll and Oak Bay Animal Hospital. Doctor Curll will misdiagnose your pet's condition, not return your calls gouge you out of money with repeated visits that end up not curing your pet and causing needless misery and heartache for you and your pet. Doctor Curll's attitude is arrogant and flippant. OBAH has a terrible reputation locally. Again, avoid this place!

Dr Curll has been treating our pets for nearly ten years. She is empathetic, thorough, and our pets are healthy. I have never seen any sign of flippancy or arrogance from her or from any of her staff.

Dr. Curll and her staff are top notch and at a reasonable price.

Terrible experience. Curll made us feel like imbecils and would wait a week or more to demand to see our dog before renewing a prescription. Of course by that time we would be almost totally out. I always felt like I was being nickeled and dimed. But the worst was that she never made an effort to either read Sandy's file before we came in and would suggest ludicrous answers to our questions. Just flip, without research. If you love your pet, don't go here.

We were vacationing in nearby Port Townsend with our dogs when one of them split a toenail and needed to be seen by a vet. Not only did Oak Bay Animal Hospital give us an appointment that day, they could not have been nicer, more professional or kinder to our two little dogs, who are both rescues and still frightened of strangers. They fixed up our painful broken toenail and even took the time to educate us about our dogs' feet. Since our dogs are poodle mixes with lots of hair, unbeknownst to us one of them was getting dry grass seeds stuck in the webbing deep between his toes and needed to have the hair between his toes and even between his paw pads shaved and cleaned out to prevent this--we had no idea our dogs' feet needed this much grooming. Oak Bay took the time to shave our dog's paws (and keep him calm and comfortable while they did it) and even got a kiss from our more nervous dog who usually runs from strangers. When we checked out, we were surprised by how little they charged us for everything they did. If I lived near here I would definitely see this vet regularly.
