Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital employees fee like an extended family to ours. We feel how much they care about our fur babies, and they make sure we know they are in good hands. I have a cat with behavioral problems, and the doctor spent a lot of time with me talking and finding resources online which she sent to my email. It was the most help I got from anyone or anywhere before. When I call with concerns, they are always courteous, concerned and helpful. I am very grateful and highly recommend them.

Went back for an infection that wasn't healing. My cat had been sedated the first trip, to clean up a bite. The wound was only partially exposed, so it continued to fester. I get that not all antibiotics are effective, but it's disappointing to be billed for another office call when the first visit wasn't thorough. Office was lovely, staff was kind and prompt.

2021 They sure do not care about the animals anymore. After being a client for over 8 yrs, now going to find a new vet.

Just moved from New Hampshire, and needed to bring my cat Walter to a vet, looked at reviews on line and chose Chimacum veterinary. I got an appointment quickly. So pleased! Abby Doll was awesome. She listened to my concerns and we worked together on a plan for Walter. The whole office is so pleasant and friendly!

The staff and especially Dr. Hamblin gave me great peace of mind when my cat Boo started behaving strangely the day before I was scheduled to leave on a trip. An exam and tests were done quickly and I was able to leave knowing that he was okay. I have always had great and professional service from Chimacum Valley and highly recommend them.

Bella is a little challenging. Born Deaf, she is timid with some people but very friendly with most. She recognizes the vet as a place that for the most part is not going to be much fun. They really take the extra time to try and make her relax, in fact the whole time we were all on the floor with her making sure she was not intimidated. I really appreciated the kind, slow approach with her and I was comfortable as I could be knowing she was going to be treated well when I left.

Pet Townsend and Dr. Ramage is our go-to vet clinic and veterinarian to treat our cat. She is very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and empathetic to ours and our cat's needs and issues. She is far and away the best vet we have ever had for any of our pets. Her diagnoses have always been accurate and her treatments have saved our cat much pain and trauma. I highly recommend Pet Townsend for pet needs and care. The staff is always friendly and efficient.

My little 5lb Chihuahua had a strange episode which could have been a seizure. I was able to get an appt. that day and was examined by the Vet. There was little wait time, and the receptionist and nurse were so caring. The Vet was gentle and compassionate. Her demeanor reminded me so much of Dr. Tony, a true animal lover. She was gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. I felt assured that my dog was being examined by the best. For many years I have taken my pets to Chimacum and have never been disappointed.

My family has been using Chimacum Valley Vet for years, we loved Dr. Mya and Dr. Webb snd would have followed them anywhere! My beloved yorkie, Maxwell, was high needs; teeth issues, back leg issues, tumor issues and lastly congestive heart failure. Dr. Webb was incredible when I brought Max in, totally panicking that his breathing was so abnormal. He was quick to figure out he was in congestive heart failure and swiftly suggested getting to the emergency vet. We took Max right away, with the correct medications Max continued to live for 2 years! All the while Dr. Webb was professional, attentive and I honestly believe he saved Max. Last year, Max started limping and was unable to make it up the stairs. Something seemed off, we made an appointment and as the day progressed I realized Max was miserable and that appointment should probably be to say goodbye. The vet tech came to the car (COVID precautions) to take notes on what was going on with Max, she then took him for vitals and to check what was wrong. She then sent the Secretary out to our car because she was too distraught, the Secretary proceeded to ask us questions about Maxwell’s state. When we asked why we were answering more questions she let us know the vet tech was very upset because Max was fine, he only had a limp and we were putting him down for our own selfish reasons. I was angry. I was sad. I was confused. The Secretary took the notes back in and the vet came to tell us we made the right choice, Max was limping due to a tumor in his brain and that was also causing him Seizures (he was awake but shaking). The vet was amazing with letting us sit outside with Max while they peacefully put him out of pain. However, the unprofessional behavior from that vet tech was enough for my family to switch vets, for good. Saying goodbye to my best friend was difficult enough, I didn’t need the judgement of their vet tech, who clearly didn’t know his history. Go someplace else.

The care our dog receives at Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital is excellent, and it's clear that the staff all love animals. Our puppy is happy to go with any of them, and the day after his recent neutering surgery, I was pleased to get a call from the hospital asking how he was.

Not allowed to talk to the Vet. Why pay $200 and not be able to talk to the doctor? I get that you need to take precautions for Covid, but if I can't see how the vet interacts with my pet, how can I be sure they're giving proper care? Added: My question when checking in was, "So we aren't allowed to be there during the examination?" Your answer was "No." I don't see where I misunderstood... Being outdoors would have been suitable to me, but that was not offered.
