Dogwoods Canine Play and Stay Olympia, Washington

My dog absolutely loves going to daycare at dogwoods, he gets so excited when we wake him up and say "daycare??". The staff takes great care of him and he always comes home tired!

Staff was friendly. Let us tour facilities before our dog stayed. Play yards seem a little small but adequate. Our dog was in good health and happy when we arrived to pick her up after a 3 night stay. Prices are affordable.

For a reservation made well in advanced and approximately 48 hours before my plane takes off, these people call and tell me they will not kennel my dog unless I provide veterinary records in advance. She had previously been kenneled here; they had been provided the records at that time: One veterinary record of rabies vaccination by the Tractor supply vet; ALL other veterinary care (including out of state rabies vaccination) had been performed by myself in a timely fashion, with records kept and provided. 48 hours before the plane takes off is not the time to call and tell someone [they] will not kennel [your] dog, for any reason.

They lost meds to keep a dog calm

We started taking our 10-year-old dog here about a year ago, when she began experiencing separation anxiety. She absolutely loves going there and can't wait to get out of the car when we arrive. The staff is absolutely amazing and I don't have to worry about whether she's being taken care of. I honestly don't know what I would do without them.

Dogwoods and all the staff are absolutely amazing. Shadow loves it there and is always treated like a king.

Dogs seem to be happy. The areas look big and my dogs return tired. Prices are good, especially with the packages. Staff is nice. The only thing I will say is I hope they come out with an app so you can see dogs through the cameras like Camp Bow Wow has. That would be amazing! Overall, really great but the cameras would put it over the top and we would come more often.

Brought my dog in an hour before close and was able to use their self service dog wash ($15). There were 2 home style bathtubs that were elevated off the floor and a rack with shampoo, conditioner and ear wash soaps. They provide you with a few towels and there was a high powered dryer as well!! Everything was nice and clean when we started and we left with our dog looking clean! Would recommend!

Great place! The facilities are clean and the care takers are kind and treat our pets well.

My pupper, Fennec LOVES coming here for daycare. He gets so excited to see his girls at the front desk I can hardly hold on to him. :) The employees are very attentive and obviously love their charges. I know Fennec is in good hands when I leave him here.

My dog was recently attacked at daycare and her neck was seriously injured requiring drain placement; sutures; and antibiotics. Because 3 dogs were on top of her when she was hurt and it couldn't be determined which dog bit her neck, none of those owners were informed that their dog attacked my dog and could have been the one that seriously injured my dog. Those 3 dogs are still going to daycare. No other dogs were hurt in the attack. I will say Dogwoods paid the vet bills and has plans for increased staffing; recording from the TV monitor; and perhaps a bigger pen. The manager and assistant manager spoke with me about the attack and upcoming changes when I requested a meeting. However, without removing or any behavior modification of the dogs that attacked and injured her --I cannot see how I could be sure this wouldn't happen again. It is unfortunate as she had gone there for daycare / boarding regularly for more than a year.

My little pit bull loves this place and because of that so do I. She comes home exhausted and when she sees where we are going gets super excited. She hugs the staff when she sees them. I cant say enough good things about this place.

The staff is terrific and our doggie Oly Girl loves to go.

Really nice place & People

Been a regular customer for daycare and boarding for 2+ years. My dog has always seemed happy to return. Staff give her lots of attention. No complaint, except the staff struggle a lot with the computer system they have. Simple account transactions, getting account info can become frustrating.

Our dog loved the stay and play. People are very caring.
