Dr. Black was kind, gentle and generous with time. He helped us love our 16.5 year old kitty into death in the comfort of her home. He embodies compassionate, exceptional care.

At such a hard time in a person's life, C4P are warm, caring, safe, comforting, knowledgeable, and know how to blend into the background of the experience when needed. I was never pressured to judged and had open communication with the ability to take our time. Our veterinarian was clear and supportive, answering any and all questions. We had a very personal experience, even with the vet in the room.

We used the in-home euthanasia service, and it was very supportive and compassionate. We had time to be sad and say goodbye, and knew that our dog was not feeling pain or distress. It was much less stressful than going to a vet office, especially during COVID when we would not have been able to go into the vet to be with her.

The week before Christmas my friend and companion of 13 years, Ozzy, started showing some troubling signs of illness. After a few days of trips to the regular vet and vet hospitals, we found that Ozzy likely had advanced malignancies in his abdomen. I brought my bud home for one last day and Compassion 4 Paws provided him with a painless and peaceful exit. I'm grateful for the ease of setting up the appointment as well as the care, understanding, and professionalism of Dr. Tessa. It was heart breaking but comforting to know that Ozzy died at home in my arms and not in a clinic or hospital. My name is Ozymandias, Cat of Cats; Look upon my works, ye mighty and Meow!

We knew our sweet cat was struggling, but we were unprepared for how quickly her health took a turn for the worst. Compassion 4 Paws were available within 8 hours, and helped her pass in her own home surrounded by her family. We miss her terribly, but we're so thankful for this team and the service they provide.

I cannot begin to explain how worth it it was to have this service provided for my boy. Dr. Allison was calm, gentle, informative, and so perfect. She made my baby and my family feel so safe and talked us through the whole process. Worth every penny. Thank you for helping our family through this difficult time.

Dr Nicole was so patient and understanding. She made the process of letting go of our sweet Hazel after 15 years as peaceful as possible. She was kind and so helpful. We’ve unfortunately had to let go of other animals but it’s always been in a Vet office. It was cold and impersonal. This was so different and the only way I’d do it if I unfortunately am in this position again. I thank Nicole and Compassion 4 Paws for helping me through this very painful time. ????????????

Big tough guy here! Lost a lot of pets in 60plus on this earth. The services and the respect for how much our pug meant to us were very much honored! God bless these folks. So much better in my own home in her familiar surroundings instead of a vet clinic. Actually a little less money than my last clinic and that was 10 years ago!!

A heartbreaking experience was made much better having them here at home instead of going to a clinic

They went above and beyond for our 22 year old cat who had a stroke last weekend. One of their doctors stayed late to make the visit to us, so that she didn't suffer for longer. They are so thoughtful and caring under such difficult circumstances.

I cannot say enough good things about this group of people. The coordinators were empathetic, patient, and responsive. Dr. Danielle Hagen arrived at our home on time, sat right on the floor to greet our cat, and talked us through the process and answered all of our questions. She was incredibly warm to be around, and my wife and I could not have imagined a better person to be going through this with.

I had Dr. Black come out to help with my spiritual departure of my pit bull, who I have had for 13 of her 16 years in this body. Due to COVID, we did it on an air mattress on my outdoor deck. He was kind. She trusted him and crawled in my lap. He let me burn my sage and play my Elvis Gospel. He gave me space to grieve before trimming her nails for a paw print. I have spent so much time managing her kidney disease, I didn't take care of her nails. He understood. I hope someday, someone offers me the same graceful ceremony out. Thank you. I couldn't have hoped for more/better/different. It was ideal. Pricing (In-Home euthanasia + private cremation) $600 ballpark.

Can’t say enough about this wonderful organization! They help make a very painful process peaceful and fulfilled our wishes for our dog to be in the comfort of her home for her last bit of life. They were professional and prompt with communication. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a better alternative to the stress of taking your pet to the vet to be euthanized. Dr. Black was amazing.

Sorry, but I am not sure this is a right word for this particular business. Because of some recommendations this company was one of two in my list to call first. When I sent an urgent request that our 100 pounds paralyzed dog needs to be put down ideally next day as latest (her genetic disease took her too fast, so it was no time to schedule anything in advance), explaining that my husband is a serious heart patient and in a high risk of sudden collapse, so clearly we are not able to wait even extra day, and don't want our poor dog to suffer, I received a very warm, very compassionate answer. I liked it! They responded like VERY CARING people. But don't believe those who tell they care or sorry about you, believe to those who SHOW they do care. Something in the email I did not like. It was related Covid situation. It was saying "Please note that due to the Coronavirus pandemic we are required to perform all services outside of the home. Some examples of spaces that work well include a porch, deck, patio, or open garage and we invite your family to make the space comfortable with a space heater, bedding, blankets, seating or anything else your family needs". I called and double checked. Again, the voice was very compassionate, yet, no other options offered. I do not have a space in garage, or deck/patio, whatever. Only cold concrete driveway. This is not only the point. My dog is 100!!!! pounds, PARALYZED !!!!. We are NOT able to pick her up. She SUFFERED when last time we tried to take her out to pee. She cried! Are those people really in clear mind thinking we will put our poor dog in agony and bring her on cold concrete in SNOW weather before her last moment? This is what they call COMPASSION???!!! Plus, knowing my situation about my poor husband, they said they booked for next couple days. Well. Then don't write in your email how you are for us to make this experience less stressful, etc. This is not Compassion!!! Neither about our poor dog or ill person/owner of the dog. We all same in Covid situation, but why rest of similar companies do not have those ridiculous rules? 3 !!! other companies offered help next morning knowing my situation, and I ended up making an appt with one of them, and our poor dog crossed Rainbow Bridge peacefully next morning. Being in her comfortable bed and space. In comfortable position. Not dragged anywhere. Being in WARM house, not outside with current temperature nearly 30 !!! only degrees. NONE of other companies call themselves "compassion", but they really ARE. You? I don't think so. Suggestion to change your name! PS: after I wrote this review, a heavy snow storm started. They knew about weather condition is going to change. I guess our girl was very lucky to have another COMPASSIONATE vet who came immediately, otherwise she would have suffered for several more days.

The compassion and general professionalism of this business is 2nd to none!! Dr. Black arrived and gave us all the information necessary regarding the process for the procedure we unfortunately had to choose. I held my baby through the entire process and up until he had to take her from me. I chose private cremation for my baby and I also received a couple other momentos such as some of her hair and a paw print. I'm not sure if the amount we paid for everything was a lot, but for everything my baby went through prior to and myself and family as well...it was worth every penny. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Compassion 4 Paws In-Home Pet Euthanasia.

Absolutely wonderful from the first phone call. Tasha was incredibly caring during the difficult phone call to schedule the at home euthanasia for my dog and Dr. Tessa was so wonderful and thoughtful when she came to the house. As an LVT myself, I could see the care that went into planning all the steps. They made a truly difficult time easier with their help. I’m so grateful I was able to say goodbye to my pup in the comfort of my home and he was able to pass peacefully. Cannot thank the team enough.

Our recent passing of our sweet Tana (Santana Carmelo Connolly) dog has us saddened and terribly heartbroken. The decision to put him down was difficult, but, he was very ill, not eating, could no longer stand on his own and very thin. We wanted peace for him. Compassion 4 Paws, from first call and speaking with Kelly, to a private home visit, enabled us to let Tana lay in his bed, hold his paws and say goodbye and have beautiful closure. Dr. Kelli’s empathetic nature was so reassuring and we knew our boy was in good care. Thank you..he’s running on a warm beach somewhere????♥️????

Our 14 year old black lab, Cole, was reaching the point where we had to start having conversations about his final days/weeks. We knew we wanted him to be at home for his last breaths with all his family by his side, so we started to look for at home euthanasia options in the area. We found one lady who we requested a visit just so we’d know who would be coming out and the process. We also had hopes that she would be able to see him and confirm that this was the best decision for our dog and family. The person who showed up was an insensitive ice queen, who couldn’t even be bothered to touch our dog let alone provide any compassion for him or us and our situation. Our dog was diagnosed with spinal meningitis 5 years ago and his steady use of steroid had deteriorated his body. From the moment she entered our home I knew she was not going to be the one who handled our final goodbye. Our usual vet does not perform in home euthanasia but they did refer us to Compassion 4Paws. What a god send. Our dog took a quick down turn and we knew it was time. I emailed them a week before when our dogs appetite had disappeared and they quickly called me with options but also first gave recommendations on how to encourage him to eat just in case he was just having a bad day. He in fact bounced back after some homemade food. This week his behavior started again suddenly. When day 2 of not eating or drinking arrived I knew I needed to make that dreaded call. Shawnee was responsive and informative and very kind about it all. She sent Dr. Ryan Black out the same day, which was a god send because Cole started to really struggle very quickly., waiting another day was not an option. I went in with very low expectations after our last interaction with the ice queen(not affiliated with Compassion4 Paws) but Dr. Black was absolutely the complete opposite. He was friendly and kind and immediately put us at ease with our decision. He engaged with our dying family member with compassion and gentle touch. He informed us on every step, and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. I could not of picked a better person to handle our difficult situation..The job these people perform cannot be an easy one but they did it with such compassion and care you’d think it was one of their own pets they were dealing with. I really cannot endorse Compassion4 Paws enough, especially Dr.Black. Thank you thank you thank you for treating our family with such respect and kindness during such a difficult time. If my heart ever heals enough to have another pet you will again be the first people I call when that day comes as well. You truly do a beautiful thing for families who are hurting!!!

By far one of the hardest experiences of our life. We lost our sweet 16 year old dog. Dr. Allison was beyond what we expected. She took the time to listen to us talk about Daisy, asked us pointed questions about her life and was in no rush to complete her mission. Having our dog pass in the comfort of our home, being loved by the people she loved most made something horrible, something bearable. I, 100 percent, without reservation, recommend Compassion 4 Paws.

I was overwhelmed with emotion with my dog's need for end of life care and was thankful to have the option to write to Compassion 4 Paws online instead of calling in where I knew I'd struggle to talk. I received a prompt reply to my inquiry with flexible timing options that worked well for me. The process was simple, well explained, and considerate. I received a confirmation call the morning of the day of the service along with a confirmed arrival window to my house. I'll start by saying Dr. Kelli is fantastic. She showed up with kindness and understanding while being very professional. I'll only call on Compassion 4 Paws home euthanasia service in the future. The experience was so much better than my prior experiences at the veterinary hospital and the humane society. Dr. Kelli explained the process very simply and gave us all time to be ready and give our goodbyes. We gathered on the lawn in my backyard, circled around my dog's bed. My dog was relaxed in her final moments being at home and comfortable being around her loved ones and Dr. Kelli. Dr. Kelli provided us space to be with our dog in her last moments. She showed tremendous care for my dog's comfort and dignity. Dr. Kelli did a clay paw impression that was a nice keepsake that I baked in the oven to set the impression. Afterward my dog passed, I opted to carry her down to Dr. Kelli's car for one last farewell. The process from beginning to end was positive and I'm thankful for my dog's and my experience with Dr. Kelli and Compassion 4 Paws. I highly recommend using Compassion 4 Paws if you are considering euthanasia providers for you pet.

My dog just had his first visit with Dr. Sara and I cannot express how grateful I am for this experience. His health has been declining the past few months and I have been having a hard time figuring out when is the right time to let him pass. The consult allotted a good amount of time to be able to discuss all of the issues (not just his health but also his and my quality of life). Dr. Sara pointed out that caregiver fatigue is a real thing even with pets and that was a real "Aha!" moment. Knowing that is something I am experiencing gives me the power to be able to address it so I can be more present for my dog. After talking things through, Dr. Sara was able to offer me some options and we were able to come up with a hospice care plan. I now feel confident I have a plan in place to try and make my dog comfortable in his remaining days, weeks or whatever he has in him. With Dr. Sara's help I know I am providing the best care to make him comfortable and when he is no longer benefiting from medications I know Compassion 4 Paws will be there to help him pass as comfortably as possible.

From start to finish, Compassion 4 Paws was amazing. I kept changing my mind about when to put my sweet Newfie down. Then I scheduled a hospice appointment and canceled that to just euthanasia. Never one agitated sigh, just endless support on how hard this decision is to make. Dr. Tessa was beyond the perfect vet to be with me and my family to say goodbye to T-Rex. She was barely there, then there when she was doing her thing. I’m so grateful to her. I found these angels online and I was nervous about that but it could not have been a more beautiful celebration led by these wonderful people. Thank you Dr. Tessa.
