Best Friend's Veterinary Center Oak Harbor, Washington

I have been taking my dog there for 3 yrs. They obviously love animals and take good care of them.

Even after I was rude and difficult, they remained professional and continued to provide the best care for our guy, Hank. They also went waaay out of their way to help us and we will be forever grateful. :) 10/10 would recommend.

These people are experts! They truly care about all animals. They also take care of more then just cats and dogs. They do have a veterinarian that cares for exotics. Like ferrets. After one of the hardest things any animal/pet owner has to go through, we received some flowers and a card in the mail from Best Friends expressing their feelings to us about losing one of our babies. It was such a blessing and heart warming to read the card they sent. I highly recommend Best Friends in Oak Harbor. I can't say enough good things.

I am so glad my Lucy is a client here ! She's very special to me & they get that. She was treated like a queen she told me. Doctor Reeves and her team did such an amazing job on my cats spay! She even called me after the procedure to let me know everything had gone well and she was waking up. On top of that check out her great suture job! Thank you for everything you do. I was happy to leave my fur babe in the hands of such amazing people.

I paid upwards of $100 for guaifenesin DM (aka Mucinex DM) that they made me feel like I needed to have before I left the office.

I’ve been with this vets office for years and have always had an amazing experience. Most recently I’ve been bringing my reactive dog for visits with Dr. Lord. She is so accommodating and happy to explain the processes to me to ensure I am comfortable with the care my dog receives. I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr. Lord and Team have amazing an "bedside manner" ... Love her style, the descriptions of care options, completely giving me peace that Dolly's care is genuine and optimum.

I was advised to call due to an injured seagull in our parking lot. The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and got me to the organization I needed. We were able to save the seagulls life. I am very grateful to the staff at Best Friend's Veterinary Clinic. Thank you!

Took our cat for surgery to get a tooth removed and he was sent home with the IV catheter still in his arm. Didn’t realize until we got him out of the carrier at home and by that time they were closed.

Called in when our little Chihuahua was having some difficulty when visiting the island for a week. They were so helpful and kind. Gave some good information. Greatly appreciate the time spent with a non-client. Even though they were booked up until next week, I would still give an A+ for customer service.

I took my very sick cat in. It was the 3th vet I tried. My own couldn't get me in for a couple weeks and they were also booked up but let me bring him in. They examined him and gave him liquid and antibiotics. Kept him there for observation all day. I took him home and he recovered. They even called me later to check on him. Very nice vet, Dr Syring I think was her name.

They were amazing..very friendly loving and caring. We had to put our 15 year old down and they were amazing had the room perfect for us gave us so much time with our boy and we even got big hugs.. they made this very hard day perfect. Thank you so much

This place is phenomenal I had a distressed cat and they were able to get me an appointment same day!! Thankful cat is back at home and feeling much better This place has an awesome staff I’m so blessed

We came to Best Friends Veterinary after two other Veterinary offices failed to help my fur baby Taz a miniature Schnauzer. Taz was sick with diabetes and was not getting stabilized on his insulin. One Veterinarian I asked maybe he needs his insulin twice a day. They tell me well I don't know and have no way to check that because we close at 3, and we need to have him for 10 - 12 hours to figure that out. Thanks for nothing. So I took him to Best Friend's and wish I had gone to them first and more likely he would still be alive today. They did more for him the first day then the other two did for him in several months. They may cost a little more than some of the others but they are loving, caring, up to date with equipment and knowledge. The staff there is amazing, carrying and they all treat you and your fit baby like family. When it was time to say good bye, you couldn't ask for a better place with the love and care they took with Taz and us grieving. They handled the funeral home cremation and getting his ashes back to us along with a expression of his paw print. I still cry after weeks have gone bye. But one thing I know for sure our other little fur baby and any others babies we may have will always be cared for at Best Friends. Remember If you love your fur babies and care for them don't look for the cheapest vet, look for the best; Best Friend's

Had a lil emergency with my pooch Roxy she cut her foot and needed stitches she was seen right away and back home in an hours time! Best Friend Vets treats your fur kids like family ❤❤❤ we trust them for both our fur kids needs!

They are a little pricey, but very efficient. Went to two other places on the island and both dropped the ball on treating our pet.

They are professional and conveniently located on 20. However, they are outrageously priced and don't really want to give you an estimate until they are done. I took 2 small dogs in for physicals thinking it would be maybe 300 with maybe 400 more in preventive care and maintenance... 2000 is what they came back in repetitive"estamates"... Take the extra trip and shop around. It'll be a great day trip.

We have had exception experiences at Best Friends! They have always been able to get us in the same week, sometimes even the next day for more urgent issues. They have a great setup inside for dogs and cats that minimizes any waiting time in a crowded waiting room, and they were fantastic with our dog Bo. Everyone we have encountered has been friendly and clearly loves animals. We have since moved out of the state, but even calling to get our dog’s records to transfer was a breeze!

The staff here are great and the quality of care is out standing!

Because they’re not allowing owners to come into the office what was supposed to be a $30 yearly shot for my dog turned into her being sedated without my approval. I wasn’t called at all about it and it turned into a $350 fee. I wasn’t given any explanation.
