Karry is so knowledgeable and a joy to work with. Even my pupp loved her. We'll be taking our rescue to her when his health gets under control.

Karry is an incredibly knowledgeable and gifted trainer. Duke, my Frenchie Boston mix, was highly reactive to other dogs and even nipping at my kids. I was at the end of my rope when I brought him to Karry. She gave me so much great information, and even more importantly, so much hands-on training. She showed me how to interact with Duke to help him behave. In 8 weeks, Duke has transformed. His reactivity to other dogs has decreased significantly and he is more polite in his interactions with people. Today, he passed his final test with flying colors. I would highly recommend Karry for any behavioral issues or training in general.

My dog, Trixie (8 months old), graduated from basic obedience class today. Karry was really wonderful, down to earth and easy to work with. She also was available to answer any and all questions I had both training related and in general. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Karry Brooks is hands down the best dog trainer on the island. She doesn’t just show you basic commands and send you on your way. She helps you understand your dog and the way they process everything. She teaches you (as a human) patience, understanding, and the proper correction techniques. As a dog owner of a very reactive dog, I’ve learned to understand his needs and boundaries. Karry has, not only, transformed me as a dog owner, but has helped Dexter grow into a secure and confident dog. If you feel like you’ve lost any hope in training your dog, please see Karry before anything else. She can transform the bond between you and your pup as long as you’re willing to put in the work!

I would like to say that I haven't even started training my dog with her yet. We simply did an evaluation. I just can not say enough at how happy I was to have my dog meet Karry. She helped me with a lot of training tips. And she quoted fairly about the prices of her service. She was super patient with all of my questions.. And my dog who has very little training (since I just got him.)

When I met Karry, I had just adopted my dog Frankie. I was excited to learn and figure out how to become a team with him. I had never had a dog before, and I was nervous. I was also starting to notice pretty quickly that my dog seemed different from many others…more than just not being very well-behaved. It became apparent that Frankie had a hard past, likely with some severe abuse, and it was causing him to react with a lot of anxiety to the world around him. He was fairly non-functional when it came to interactions with anyone other than myself. After some hard reality of what that might mean if we couldn’t work through his issues, we began the hard work of finding peace for Frankie. This began with home visits from Karry and her wonderful assistant Tracy, who would literally come over and allow Frankie to just get used to having someone else in our home. Once he could process guests, we were able to begin some simple things like sit, meeting other dogs, and other people. Our training process took much longer than the standard training syllabus, and looked a lot different, but Karry was with us every step of the way. We even threw some curveballs her way by introducing my fiancé into the mix and getting him up to speed on how to keep Frankie consistent and on track. Through many of my phone calls, texts, tears, and frustration over many months, Frankie has just completed his Canine Good Citizen, Canine Life and Social Skills, and Karry’s own test to prove that he is a sweet, kind, well-mannered, and functional member of society, and I am so proud! This would truly not have been possible without Karry’s caring and loving guidance, and I am forever thankful for her patience and dedication to our little family. Frankie will probably never be a “normal” dog. He still has anxiety, and Karry has said she intends to continue working with us through those issues, despite us finishing the prescribed purpose of training, which is truly above and beyond. Karry, thank you for gifting our family with your knowledge, care, and expertise. We experience so much joy because Frankie is now truly a happy dog.

I moved to Oak Harbor, I am very skeptical about where I bring my fur baby. I brought my dog to this woman and had the best experience. She treated me like family. When I pick my dog up she leaves so much happier.

I brought my puppy here because I had to go to a wedding across the country. When she was returned to me, that same day she became VERY SICK. She had contracted some parasite that had to be from this place. It was a lot of money in vet …

Avoid this pet sitter!! Despite claims on her website and from her personally that she does not accept aggressive dogs, she keeps at least two unpredictable and aggressive dogs in her long-term boarding care and these dogs attacked and …
