Our dog Maxx got into rat poisoning and due to the effects began going blind. When I call, they asked what was going on with him and due to the severity of his case, they managed to get him in and saved his site. There wasn't another Animal Eye clinic that would even take his case. His eyesight was saved and he is doing much better. Without their help, Maxx would have went blind! We are so grateful to Dr. Waler and all the staff. They were all very caring and kind during his visits and answered all of our questions. ????????????

They were fantastic with getting our pup in for eye surgery. Originally we had a appointment booked for 2 months out but they communicated when they had a cancellation. Surgery the week after and our pup is all healed and good to go. Can't say enough about how much at ease they made us feel throught the process and how incredible their communication was both pre and post surgery! Dr. Landry and his staff are top notch!

I've been in the veterinary industry for 20 years, and I know a lot of specialists. I have recommended Dr Landry in the past to others, so when my own 15 year old dog needed an ophthalmologist I knew where we were going. Eye issues can be quite frustrating and time consuming. Dr Landry and Staff are very caring and attentive. We are still treating our dog but have hope that we can save his eyes.

My dog, Onyx, had a mass suddenly appear on his eyelid. I thought it was a simple sty. His vet agreed. After multiple rounds of trying to treat with meds, his vet recommended removal. I decided since eyes are so critical, a specialist was the way to go. He is 13, so surgery of any kind is always scary. Everyone I knew recommended another clinic, but AVC was the one to respond quickly and with a ton of empathy, plus had great reviews. My vet's office also said they had great experiences with AVC. So I booked a same day consult and surgery. Dr. Waler and staff were great, making sure every question was answered. I'm not the easiest client, having just enough medical training to be considered difficult by some! I also am crazy protective of my dog. Everyone was fantastic that I spoke to, and I picked up an unhappy but mass-free pup that afternoon. They have been so kind in answering my calls post surgery, even urging me to have them paged if things come up after hours (trying not to unless something comes up that I really think is an emergency, because everyone deserves their time off!). Moral of the story is that I, the picky, armed with just enough knowledge not to be easy person who is overprotective of her dog, highly recommends this office and Dr. Waler. We are only 2 days post surgery, but so far I've been absolutely thrilled with the care both my dog and I have received. Thank you, AVC!!

My cat developed a corneal ulcer and AVC amazingly could see her the next day. They provided excellent and thoughtful care, then worked with me to find a maintenance med she could tolerate. Their follow up over the phone was as good as their in-person care; it saved me time and money and reduced travel stress for my cat. AVC also has an excellent and very clear Covid protocol.

The Animal Vision Center was absolutely amazing to us and our dog Teddy. We came home from a vacation late at night and within minutes one of our other dogs had bitten Teddy in the left eye. We immediately took Teddy to a emergency clinic who sewed his eye shut and told us he would need to be seen by a specialist or his eye would have to be removed. Easier said than done as every specialist we called refused to see us for weeks or even months out. AVC was extremely caring, understood that the emergency with Teddy was ongoing and got him on their schedule for the next day. Teddy has been seen by AVC several times and while he no longer has sight in the eye, not AVC's fault lol, they have been able to save his eye and he has healed extremely well. Thanks AVC!

Phenomenal service, let me explain. My pup Kyla injured her eyes playing in the thick brush. She had apparently scratched her cornea and my veterinarian tried her best but couldn’t help. Her left eye was red, inflamed, and closed. My veterinarian recommended I find an eye specialist and I found Animal Vision Center close to my home. I was able to have her seen by Dr Landry. It only took literally minutes so it seemed when my pup was returned with a diagnosis and a two week treatment. Within that two weeks her improvement was fast and phenomenal. After the two weeks I took my pup back for an evaluation and was given a diagnosis that she was healed and only needed eye drops for the redness. Her eyes are now open and bright. I was so worried that she would lose her eyesight but thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Landry she’s now back to normal vision. Animal Vision Center made our visits stress free. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Landry kept me informed in each step of her healing process. Let me highly recommend the staff and doctors at A.V. C. They are the best. Sincerely, Ron & Kyla.

I am very happy with the quality of the surgery my pet received here, but I'm less than happy with the customer service from some of the support staff. Some are great, and some are snotty, rude, and unprofessional. Hopefully those bad apples eventually go away, because it would be unfortunate for a few bad apples to spoil the reputation of a hospital with such good Doctors and health care for our pets.

My cat Henna was referred to Animal Vision Center by our Vet to see an eye specialist. Henna had a tough start when she was a kitten and when I adopted her at 10 weeks old they told me she she had very limited vision. Well 8 years later that has never stopped her. And I want to give her the best care. Making the appointment was easy and the staff were very helpful and understanding. Dr Landry was wonderful and compassionate since the appointment was during Covid he went over the details standing outside and discussed everything with me explaining in detail. Obviously my cat had some things going on that he reassured me I was doing the best and giving her everything she needed. Henna has "multiple ocular malformations and has no pain, but reduced vision. and some patients will lose vision in the future". I highly recommend Dr Landry and his clinic.

Dr Landry and the team are kind, knowledgeable and efficient. They helped diagnose and treat our dog's chronic eye condition and now she's more comfortable and stable. Highly recommend.

We were referred to Animal Vision Center by our vet when our 7 year old Boxer dog had a non-healing eye ulcer. They knew just what to do. They were prompt, professional, and very kind to my very scared dog (he’s terrified of the vet). The doctor came out curbside (due to coronavirus restrictions) and gave a thorough report and took the time to answer all my questions. Would use them again.

Charlee was suffering for months before taking her to visit with Dr Landry who identified the problem & we faithfully followed his medication orders. After 7 weeks of administering three kinds of eye drops, Charlee's eyes were good again, & Charlee visited him again at that time. Dr Landry gave us a very encouraging report. Thank you!

I appreciate how Animal Vision Center was flexible, responsive and caring when my dog was facing a serious eye infection! After a night at the ER, they got us in to see Dr. Waler and it was very apparent that taking care of our dog, Vladimir, was a high priority.

So grateful! I called this clinic on a Monday morning after being referred by an emergency vet due to an urgent sudden onset of uveitis in my cat Fynn. Dr. Landry made time on that Monday to see him. He diagnosed him quickly. He and the staff were so kind in explaining the serious condition to me. This is an ongoing situation and I am thankful for the continued attentive, kind professional manner the entire team is giving me and my boy Fynn.

Daisy was referred to Dr. Landry at AVC for what appeared to be an eye infection. He examined her and discovered she had Zero tear production in her left eye, she also has 2 Ulcers at 50% that were infected. She had no sinus drainage and her left nostril was constantly plugged and almost looked like it was trying to close. Daisy was given antibiotics and tear stimulation drops (miracle medicine!!) along with some lubricant as she has no tear production, her treatment went on for quite sometime. and I never missed a dose of anything! Sorry for the long review, but I am still in total awe!!! Six weeks ago she had a follow up, good news and bad news, Good news, tear production was back, infection was healed and ulcers had gotten smaller, Bad news was her eye was still VERY fragile and could rupture as the ulcers had damage the inner eye. He continued with a strong medication 2 times daily, nothing else and over the last 6 weeks, and last Friday she was GIVEN the Best news, tear production is 100% no vision loss from the event, and the remaining ulcer is till healing and has about 10% to go, eye is no longer fragile and no surgery or eye removal. Praise God for this doctor, Daisy is my whole heart and he literally saved her beautiful eye!!!! I can't thank you enough. This was all at a cost, I spent over $ 1,000 but understand specialized care is not the same at a vet check. Before and After pics :-)

Bowie, our Jack Russell Terrier, aged much faster than my wife and I were expecting, and one of the consequences of his aging has been eye twitching, squinting, spasms, and pain. He was frequently running into walls because he could not see while anxiously wandering around in pain. It was terrible to watch as a dog owner. My wife and I brought Bowie to Animal Vision Center after referral from an animal neurologist. Dr. Landry diagnosed Bowie and told us that he needed eye surgery so that his eye could heal. He was very direct about the probability of the surgery succeeding, and what next steps would be if the surgery failed. Dr.Landry performed the surgery (eye debridement) and within weeks Bowie was no longer squinting or running into walls. I am very grateful to Dr.Landy and Animal Vision Center for healing Bowie's pain and giving us more time with our beloved dog.

My cat had her eye start swelling (suspected glaucoma) and was referred here. It turns out she had a tumor which was causing the pressure and AVS gave us a few options to treat it. I felt like they outlined our choices really well, with honest insights about long term outcomes, without pressure to go for the most expensive option. We decided on removing the eye. A specialty surgery is always a bit expensive, and for us it was money well spent. The surgeon gave us the results of the biopsy, as well as an outline on how successful and necessary additional treatment options would be, so we could make a decision about if we felt chemo was needed. We felt good about our decision to not cause our sweet girl any more suffering with chemo, given the prognosis, and her being nearly 90 in relative "cat years". Long story short: Our 17 year old cat went from being in obvious discomfort and sleeping most of the day, to bouncing back no worse for wear, less a cute perpetual wink. She's back to playing with her toys and her kitten sister, and will be getting a few more great years with any luck. This cat is like a daughter to me and I would definitely trust the folks here if any of my critters had any eye issues in the future. They're honest, and compassionate, and the work they did healed up great.

After being told at my vets office my dog had something in his cornia that was causing bleeding and it needed to be removed at a specialists office. I called all over and left messages. With covid happening I was told it would be a two month wait, or offices were closed and or not accepting new patients animal vision center returned my call and responded immediately with great care and concern. They took wonderful care of danny for me

I cannot say enough about Dr. Landry and his staff. They have (and are) taking such good care of our 16 and 1/2 year old dog (Morgan) who has had a few vision related challenges. The diagnoses have been spot on and the meds and surgical procedures prescribed for his conditions have 100% addressed his problems. He is seeing better, enjoying his most awesome life even more, and has new best friends in Dr. Landry and his staff. THANK YOU for caring about our baby as much (almost :)) as we do!

Very satisfied with the care our little male Maltese was given. Dr. Landry was very professional and took the time to explain what we could expect and what to look for during recovery. All in all, a very positive experience.

My review doesn't speak to Dr. Landry's skill but to his lack of compassion. I brought my cat in on the referral of our regular veterinarian. My cat has a squamous cell mass on his lower lid. I had asked about receiving a discount twice from the front desk, as we have a nonprofit cat sanctuary/rescue. I was told it was up to the discretion of the doctor and they didn't want to take the time to ask him and get back to me. I went anyway, waited two weeks for the appt. Dr. Landry told us after a 10 min. exam that he couldn't perform surgery on my cat; we would need to see a surgeon. I knew the cost of the consultation beforehand but feel that $400 is exorbitant due to the fact that the doctor can't help my cat. He had delivered my cat back to me and simply walked away from me while I was talking. All nonprofits have had a difficult year with Covid limiting their fundraising. Our donations go only to pet food, litter and medical care - we are otherwise all volunteer. We receive discounts at other specialists and one vet even offers for free neuters. Rescues routinely work together to pull animals off death row and transport, and rely on volunteers as well as donors; everyone makes contributions either with their time and monetarily. You assume a man who has made a career out of practicing medicine on companion animals actually cares about them on the whole, but seems he acts like he only cares about making money in this instance.

Our dog Winston was suffering with a non-healing corneal ulcer. We were referred to Dr. Landry and were so grateful to have an appointment scheduled in less than a week! Dr. Landry examined Winston and performed a procedure after consulting with us. He and staff were very caring and considerate prior to and after the procedure. Winston was actually happy to see them at his two week follow-up! His corneal ulcer was completely healed and he is feeling like a new pup...We are beyond grateful to Dr. Landry!!

I adopted a shy and anxious older dog with a dark pigment on her iris. We went to see Dr Landry and the wonderful staff at Animal Vision Center. They made my nervous girl feel at ease and gave me the good news that although it will need monitoring, the spot is not cancer . I really appreciate the excellent care.

Dr. Waler and her staff were very professional and courteous. Dr. Waler was an excellent diagnostician and was able to provide excellent care for our springer spaniel's complex ocular problem with a very good outcome. They also responded quickly to follow up phone questions as our dog recovered. We would highly recommend.

My bulldog had an eye infection that wasn't healing and his normal vet said he needed to be seen by a canine ophthalmologist. I called all clinics in the area and none could get him in for at least a month. Dr Landry's office listened to my concerns and my dog's symptoms and slipped him in within a few days. They were completely professional and the care given was exceptional. It was a blessing in many ways that we landed at Dr Landry's office, and we will return should we need his services in the future.

I was so pleased to hear Dr. Landry's practice was opening and didn't realize shortly after, my dog would be in need of ophthalmic care. My dog had a fast-growing lump on his eyelid and Dr. Landry and his team were thorough in helping to evaluate the best plan to treat it (removal). They made sure he was healthy to have the procedure, were very patient with him and he recovered very well from his procedure--good as new! I will happily refer others here--including my clients. So thankful for this practice and team, and pleased they are in the area. You will get expert specialty care from very kind, skilled staff here.

We were surprised to find that our 12 year old cat, Simon, could be checked immediately even interrupting normal operations the day after calling. Simon has only one eye which is failing and antibiotics were needed ASAP. Simon is also deaf and was then dehydrated, but now after only 4 weeks of treatment can see enough to get around and his appetite has returned. We could not be more impressed by the special care and prompt service of AVS!
