We are very pleased with our Cavapoo’s care by Dr. Sargent and his team. They are professional with much empathy and understanding for each pet and their owners. Their expert diagnostics and treatment, tender care, and follow-up calls home create the best possible environment for us. We highly recommend Highland Vet clinic to everyone.

I have been with the vet office for over 10 years. Today was the first time I have ever been told they are to busy I should go to another clinic because they couldn’t help me. Highly dissatisfied.

Dr. Sergeant and his staff has gone out of his way to help my boy Jasper. Honestly if it wasn’t for Dr. Sergeant knowing what was wrong with my boy when I took him to him several months ago when another vet failed to find what was causing his issues, I could have lost him. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

We've been going here for almost 10 years and have really loved it, but this past couple of years they've gotten so busy that we wait an average of almost two months for every vet appointment. Things that don't necessarily qualify as emergencies, but should be addressed within a week or two I am told to go to the emergency vet hospital. This is frustrating because it basically doubles our costs. Dr. Sargent is great and has always given great advice and taken good care of our animals. He doesn't suggest things just for the sake of making a quick buck and always has the animals best interests at heart. That is why I'm so sad they no longer have the time to see our pets in a reasonable amount of time. I love that this facility is growing and taking on new customers, but the existing customers pets are suffering. When I've expressed this concern I am only met with "well that's the way it is" and while I understand they can't help, we unfortunately have to start looking for another place to go :(

Very happy to have a local vet I trust to see all my animals. I recently had to send one of my cats over the Rainbow Bridge due to cancer. It was a heartbreaking time, but their team made the process as smooth as something like that can be. I was worried it would feel cold and frightening, but the room was set up with (fake of course) candles and a blanket for my cat to lay on. They allowed privacy for mourning after and made sure the process was safe and that my cat was in no pain. We all know how busy and overworked vet clinics have been, so their attention felt like a true blessing and a testament to their care for the animals they see. I will continue taking my other pets there and would highly recommend.

Nice folks, but didn't take any time to show me how to give a pills to my cat. I had to figure it out on my own when she refused to eat it no matter what food I put it in. One girl at the front desk told me about a plunger for my DOG. When I told her it was a cat, she didn't say anything which made me think I couldn't use it for a cat. I ended up with a plunger suggested by my daughter after wasting half the pills I had paid for.

This a great place to bring your Four Legged family members. You can tell the Staff loves animals and just not doing a job for money which helps but not only reason. They are so helpful and take their time to explain things and make sure you understand before you leave. The Doctor was fabulous took the time to listen and answer questions I had Highly Recommend this Office The Veterinarian Doctor and Staff are caring individuals. You won't be disappointed

The team at Mt View Vet are all good. Our animals receive excellent care here and my family trusts them to give us the information straight. I love their approach of helping each animal remain calm and unafraid while in their care. Love these people!

We started coming here a few months ago now from referrals from 2 of my brothers that come here,we brought our 6 yr old lab (zeke)in for some x-rays of his legs, long story short unfortunately zeke has 2,yes 2 ruptured Achilles heals, devastated dr.sargent checked on a specialist for possible surgery, too much risk involved so he told us about a place in Colorado that makes custom braces for these kind of injuries thank God so we went that route,in between dr.sargent had to make impressions of both legs and alot of other stuff not common in any vet clinic but he did, still having issues with getting his legs and toes healthy enough to wear them but we will never stop trying, anyhow great staff, polite, caring,we now come here for everything zeke needs for now on,highly recommend mountain view veterinarian.

Dr Sargent is one of the most compassionate and kind vets I have ever met. Him and his staff are always kind, communicative, and they always go the extra mile to make sure me and my fur babies know exactly what is going on and what our options are! This is my most favorite vet!!!

Mountain View vet has been the best. We were with another vet and my pet needed surgery. The other vet didn’t sound like they cared. I called Mountain View and we established care and got a yearly check up and vaccines. We were scheduled for surgery ASAP, the price of the surgery was fair, and they have been great with after care. 100% recommend. We will be staying with Mountain View.

I took my dog to this vet clinic and was pleased with the kind staff. Everyone I interacted with on the phone or in person was professional and helpful. Also Dr. Sargent was thorough and answered my questions. We will definitely be back!

I've went to 2 other vets and it seems likely treat it like a business and they don't care about animals they just care about how much money they make when it comes to Mountain View vet they care more about the animals than the money that is a glorious thing to find and they pay attention to the animals

My dog has been seen here twice for emergency care and the level of service, compassion, communication, and comfort for the humans as well as the dog has been excellent. I am grateful for all they have done for my boy and if I lived closer they would be my standard vet clinic.

We have taken our animals to Mountain View when Dr. Baber was there and now see Dr. Sargeant. Both Veterinarians have been great with our dog. Dr. Sargeant is knowledgeable and kind with our anxious pup.

8 months ago my dog injured blew out her right knee on a camping trip. We didn't know that at the time, we just knew she was limping. So we took her Mountain View vet, the place our old vet merged with, to have her examined. They gave us some anti-inflammatory drugs for the dog and said she'd be fine. After repeated visits, 4 months later, they finally diagnosed her with a torn CCL (canine equivalent to a human ACL). When the surgery finally happened, they failed to give us rehabilitation information for a week, even after repeated calls. Not to mention the laser treatments that they charged us in advance for (but never told us about) or the constant under medication where they can't do the simple math to figure out how many pills you actually need to follow the treatment plan they came up with! EDIT 5/5/21: After their calls to my wife asking to speak and their response this review, I called them to discuss it but only spoke with the office manager. They have refunded us for the treatments that we weren't informed about and have apologized for the undermedication and their failure to give us rehabilitation information in a timely manner. They say they are the same vet as Highland Vet clinic, but when they got a new name and location, there was a sharp decrease in the quality of service. I really was hoping for some sort of resolution, but hollow words aren't going to cut it at this point. TLDR: I don't need another "service" that I have to stay on top of to make sure they do the job right. If you care about your pets, go somewhere else.

Dr. Sargent and his staff are amazing. They are caring and compassionate. We take our French Bulldog to them and she loves them, she is excited to go inside, even without us due to COVID. I highly recommend them, they are amazing.

This place is amazing. We were going to another clinic in town and were not to happy. We brought our pups to Mountain View because a friend said how awesome they are. They were right, Dr. Sargent and his staff are caring and treat the pets like they are their own. I will NEVER go anywhere else.

I brought my dog to mountain view about 7 weeks ago after moving to the area for a general check-in since we had recently moved to the area but also had a concern about his lymphnodes swelling up alarmingly over a couple of days. When we brought this concern up with Dr. Sargent he said cancer was "unlikely" and the test for it was "unnecessary" we were given a low dose of antibiotics for a 'possible infection' and that we needed to get a couple of his teeth pulled. Fast forward to this past Wednesday and we shows up for his tooth pulling and at that point there was some concern for cancer as his lymphnodes were still swollen. The lymphnodes are poked an a test is sent in. By Saturday my dog is barely responsive and I'm forced to take him to the emergency clinic in shoreline with their own oncology clinic. We get the call from mountain view confirming a our suspected cancer diagnosis while we are loading up the car for the long drive. As of today Tuesday my dog spent 2 nights in intensive care getting a huge battery of tests and 3000 dollars later I can now start my dogs 10,000 dollar treatment for lymphoma. On top of all of that, A urine test was taken by mountain views team during our first visit. I have this on paper in the records that were sent over to the emergency room. When confronted,, Dr Sergent said that the urine test was done the day he showed up for his teeth pulling appointment so this guy either doesn't know what's going on with his patients or lies when he is caught in a screw up either one is NOT GOOD!! The urine test showed my dog also had a urinary tract infection. We were told about this by the emergency vet after they viewed the records themselves. This also went untreated for 6 weeks. Thank you Dr Sargent and support staff for almost killing my dog and costing me 3000 dollars in emergency bills all because you thought a 150 dollar test wasn't necessary because you assumed we were poor and admitted that you thought we were worried about money when we spoke. My only concern when I show up to a veterinarian is my pets' health and well being. If you are concerned about your pet having a major illness do not go to mountain view veterinary clinic.

We are new to the area (Whidbey Island) and after not finding any vets on the island that are taking new patients, we ended up establishing care with Mountain View. I am so glad we did and although I wish they were closer to us, they are worth the drive! Our rescue golden retriever Lola has a ton of health issues due to irresponsible breeding. Dr. Sargent has been patient and thorough all 850 times we’ve been there in the last few months (maybe a slight exaggeration!). He prepares us for the worst but also hopes for the best, which for us is a sign of a great vet. We have also seen Caleb, the vet tech almost every time we visit and he is always kind and patient with us and our pets. We are glad we found Mountain View, thanks Dr. Sargent and team!

Found this place by an urgent situation. When my dogs regular vet was couldn't take him for a nasty gash on his foot, that ended up needing a surgery. But they said they could take him in right then and there but I would have to pay a $100 emergency fee. After receiving the to fix his foot they also noticed his allergies were acting up. And gave me another add-on quote for his allergies, which I went for but when everything was said and done I was never charged for $100 emergency fee and $80 allergy quote. Which was a god send cuase it was 5days from Christmas Then to top it off gash looked AMAZING.
