We love Mercy Vet. They are amazing with our Shepard mix. I wanted to update my review b/c our pup is now 15.5 years old. Thanks to Dr. Jackie and her team she is still truckin' along and very healthy. They take the time to go over everything we can do for our girl. We really truly appreciate Dr. Jackie and her team and feel so lucky to have found them years ago.

I brought our lil Maltese pup here a year ago after going from vet to vet; nobody could help figure out Bella’s sensitivities and allergies. Dr. Lisa was kind, caring, patient and responsive to all our concerns and queries with Bella. She has helped us navigate Bella’s care and has brought back a level of health into Bella’s life - for that we are truly grateful. The staff is always kind and smiling. The clinic practices holistic and western veterinarian medicine and this is great if your furry baby needs naturopathic tx. They do tend to be a bit on the expensive end, however the peace of mind that we get from the quality of care is well worth it. Thank you Dr. Lisa & team!

Unfortunately I can't rate the veterinary care provided here since I wasn't able to see the vet. I'm new to the area so I'm still learning the ropes of getting around in Seattle, admittedly I realized my drive was going to be 45 minutes when I only planned for 30 minutes. I called the office to check and see if that was going to be OK, the front desk person told me as long as I wouldn't be more than 15 mins late it was fine. I went a head and made the 45 minute drive arriving at 3:45 on the button, as agreed to. Upon arrival I was told to wait in my car for our turn with the vet. We waited outside for a few minutes then the front desk girl came out to inform me that they could not see my dog since there wasn't enough time, I would need to reschedule. I reiterated that I had been told that it was fine as long as I arrived by 3:45, and that I would be driving and hour and half round trip. She apologized saying she knew her colleague had said we could still see the vet but it was a mistake and there was not time. Clearly I wont be going back.

Been coming to Mercy Vet for years and years. Always feel like my pets are treated with love and compassion. Have gotten homeopathic treatments (which worked!) As well as antibiotic treatments when necessary. For years I would have said they were under pricing their services. A while back they finally increased pricing and are probably more akin to other vet clinics, which they deserve to be because they know their stuff. I make the trek from West Seattle because I trust them so much to care for my fur babies.

Dr Jackie is so kind. I feel really taken care of here and I'm so thankful my fat old cat is in the best hands! 8/11/2020 update: Mercy vet has some of the most caring staff I've ever met. People who work with animals are truly the best humans. After my 17 year old Kitty passed, not only did they send me a card signed by every person at the clinic but I also got a card a few months later saying that there was a tree planted in his name donated by Mercy vet. I cried my eyes out and felt so supported and held by those simple but truly impactful acts of love and kindness.

Mercy Vet is such an amazing place. Their knowledge, experience, caring and compassion of all the staff is something unique and special. Dr. Jackie has a way of explaining complicated medical problems so that you truly understand what is going on with your pet. She takes full charge of the situation so you feel comfortable and relieved, and know your pet is in the very best hands. I cannot say enough great things about Mercy Vet!

Being an optimist, I prefer to write positive reviews but I had two experiences here that I feel worth forewarning people about. First was about a year and a half ago when I had them draw bloodwork for my dog who is getting older. The one result that was elevated was ALP, which it turns out is an indicator for Cushing's. The vet told me not to worry about it, that sometimes ALP runs high in dogs, and didn't recommend that I do anything prophylactically. A year later I had his blood tested again at a different clinic and by that time his ALP was so high he was on the verge of Cushing's. After that I did some research and found out you can prevent, treat and reverse high ALP or Cushing's with certain herbs. I let the first experience go. I called recently to schedule a medication refill appointment; I was flying with my dog who takes an anxiety med to fly. I shared on the phone he had been examined within the past 6 months at his acupuncture clinic but I understood they would need to examine him given he hadn't been seen there for a year, but I requested a short or follow up exam. I also asked if I could be with him (given covid) for the exam and the person on the phone said yes, the dr. can come out into the room they've set up during this time and I could be with him. I checked in the next day and they said they wouldn't examine him out in the area they set up and they insisted they take him back. The doctor came out and discussed his full exam (though I mentioned on the phone the day prior he had already been fully examined recently) with me. I had forgotten to ask if they would take his blood pressure, as I learned most vets don't do that and I felt it would be nice to know. They took him back and did that. I went to check out and the bill was $226.62. I asked why. She said you asked for a full exam and our doctors charge exams per every 15 minutes and yours was 30. I was not happy, shared my feelings about it and the front desk said "sorry you feel that way". She gave me the invoice and they charged me $62.00 to take his blood pressure, $13.00 for the medication and the rest was for the exam. I was upset, and when I got home I emailed the owner, Dr. Jackie and expressed being upset and angry, shared my feelings that I felt it was unprofessional and misleading. She replied saying she didn't appreciate what I said, said she would send me a check for $62.00 for the blood pressure and that she was removing me from their database. Usually when a customer (and a a long-standing one) is upset, I would hope that the owner or manager would try to make things right or at least ease the customer in whatever way felt right for both people. I had never had a situation with them before and with the prior incident, I let it go. The next day I went on my trip, got home a month later and there was no check in the mail. I emailed her three times and was ignored. No check, no response. Not an appealing way of handling what could have otherwise been a workable situation. I'm a workable person. I'll never go back especially after being removed from their database as an offensive tactic.

Dr. Jackie Sehn and team are compassionate, wonderful, very knowledgable and thorough with integrated pet care that includes both traditional and holistic practices, with a whole lot of consideration for systemic causes, not just treating symptoms. I discovered Dr. Jackie when fostering a very ill young rescue foster dog. We tried Chinese herbal therapies, and even leaned into a genetic panel for answers to try to help her, and I appreciated that they considered many more angles than previous vets we consulted. I now take my two dogs there and would not consider going anywhere else. They arranged a puppy socialization drop-off playdate during Covid, which has made our new puppy, Clover, LOVE going to the vet. And they are sweet and gentle with our timid, scared rescue, Lucas. This veterinarian practice is special and won't give up on even the toughest cases. Mercy Vet is the best office I've seen in the Seattle area!

Everyone at the clinic is so kind and helpful and compassionate. Dr. Jackie explains everything so well and takes care to make sure you get the information you need. She calls you herself and when it is appropriate to refer to a specialist she knows when to do that. I am so grateful for Mercy Vet!

I am a big believer and integrative veterinary care. Mercyvet does this very well. They are conservative and practical in their care and they know if and when to intervene with conventional treatment. They are also very knowledgeable about alternative feeding methods.

Mercy Vet is the best vet. They call you back and check to see how your pet is doing. They are a holistic vet so they have lots of tools to work with, acupuncture, homeopathy and other natural resources. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

If you can get in as a client, then there isn't anywhere else you should go. Best care in the country. Treats each situation with the appropriate care, meaning if it can be handled homeopathically or naturally, then they do. But when needed they go with the traditional treatment. All I know is they do their best to care for your pet with the most care and caution and love and consideration for the pets overall health and comfort. Can't say enough about Jackie and the entire staff there. Always so wonderful and helpful. I'm truly lucky I have the privilege to be one of their patients. (Well my dogs get to be :)
