VCA Alderwood Companion Animal Hospital Lynnwood, Washington

My kitty woke up with one of his eyes all red and watery, so naturally I panicked immediately and took him to the vet. I ended up being late due to life, but they were still able to accommodate my little guy into thier schedule. The nurse (im not sure of that is the correct terminology) that came and picked him up from my car was very attentive and caring for my young Norman. (That's my kitty) once inside they told me pretty much what I knew already, but I was very relieved to know it wasn't anything serious. They also got him the rest of his 2nd set of vaccines. All at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this establishment in any situation you need to take your petty the vet! Timely, affordable, professional.

Went over to get my cat Haruko examined. Staff are super friendly and professional. I highly recommend this vet for anyone for pet needs. This place will be my go to vet for now on!

Wife took the dog to this place, she said the dog got taken care very well and she is (the dog) is happy. Happy dog, happy wife, happy life. It seems a good place.

I had a sick dog and my normal vet was booked solid for a month. They found a spot for us that same afternoon. Staff are friendly and efficient. They very much care about the pets there. They gave me many well-explained options to pick from. Also good procedures in place to deal with Covid19.

Great vets! I like the way they come get your dog out of the car and then return them when they are finished. Always a good experience though whether going inside or not.

I initially brought my new cat in for an eye issue. Of course it was on a weekend and was impressed that VCA Alderwood was open for regular visits on a Sunday! I have been taking my 2 dogs and cat here ever since and am always treated with respect. Love the Care Club idea and staff are friendly and professional. So glad to have found this veterinary practice .

I have a now 4 year old Frenchie! When she was a baby, I called around and found Dr Wood and staff at VCA Alderwood and they had Frenchie dog breed experience! I was a little apprehensive being a 1st time Frenchie owner, but less that 5 mins into the initial appt 4 years ago, I felt so much relief, love, respect and no fear. I can’t say enough about the entire staff there! Friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, above and beyond care, it’s truly amazing and I would recommend them to everyone looking for a great vet!!!! Bella is healthy and happy and loves Dr Wood!

Just a quick shout out as they were referred to me by a dear friend when another friend of mine needed help with their rescue dog in a bind, and after being denied same by several other, closer vets, they couldn't have been kinder, nicer or more accommodating, on a late, Sunday afternoon. We ended up not even needing to go there, but the fact they were willing to squeeze us in in our hour of need was amazing!

They take great care of your pets. Are still utilizing some COVID restrictions.

Very friendly staff members and excellent follow up. I strongly recommend 'care club' membership and utilize app on your phone where you can easily check upcoming refills, appt, etc.

Vs. other vet hospitals in our current proximity, VCA Alderwood won both by the location which is most convenient for us (just a happenstance), AND broad time-wise availability of their services: rather long hours within a day, 7 days a week - their unique feature. This is how we zeroed on them. By now we accumulated enough experience with them to say more. We have previous experience with some VCA and other vet hospitals. Fortunately for us, they all have shown consistently very high professional and client relations standards. VCA Alderwood has proven to be on par with, if not better than, the best of those we knew before in both respects.

They took such a great job with my Anjo stitches in her ear now can't find where it was at. Prices where not bad

We love this VCA location! We were going to another local vet but the quality of care at the other vet has really decreased since COVID. I was really hesitant to change vets but VCA has always been able to get us in. They have been very prompt and in some urgent situations, they were able to see us same day! I know this is super rare and I truly appreciate it. I have a black lab mix who can be anxious at the vet and they have always been good to him. He was recently seen and they made a referral for him to see an orthopedic specialist. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff and the availability of appointments. It's not the cheapest vet I've ever been to but I am happy to pay more for the peace of mind.

I cannot say enough about Dr Wood and the people who work here. I had to put my sweet Cleo down and it was so awful but Dr Wood and everybody else was so, so very kind and I could not have done this with anybody else. I can't even write this without crying. They will be my go-to vet from now on with my other sweet kitty cat!

Dr Wood is amazing. Definitely going to miss her. The staff, is mediocre at best. They're fine during normal situations but when my dog was in an emergency, all they could tell me was how booked out they were. I called another hospital and they also said they were booked, but at least gave me some direction of other hospitals I could try to call and even sent me a text with location/numbers. I cancelled Careclub - honestly for the price, you can get real pet insurance and not be tied down to a single hospital.

They are good with family pets.

I was adopted by a stray but domesticated cat 5 years ago. Couldn't find a chip, so I kept feeding her between the mice and rabbits she'd devour on the kitchen floor. Well, it came time to move, and if I was going to take her with me, I needed to get her shots up to date. I went online and found a nearby VCA pet hospital. I got a quick quote which was reasonable and made an appointment. I thought I would be admonished for waiting so long to get her shots...not to mention that I likely broke a law or two along the way. But they were very professional and moved right along. I got there a little early not knowing what to expect of curbside service. It was fantastic I called and they came out to get my cat. Then told me after her exam what she needed and the costs. I gave them the go ahead and they brought her out to me in maybe 30 minutes. It wasn't long at all, considering they were taking in other curbside pets the whole time I was there. My kudos to a very professional, well managed, pet care facility. And the cat lady I personally dealt with was outstanding. I'll be back.

Really attentive staff and good covid protocols

UPDATE: If "0" stars were an option.. After my Chihuahua it was downhill. 2017 -Had our Senior Cat in for ear issues, were dirty, feared infection. Asked to have cleaned after inspected. Tech took the cat back to "clean his ears".. he was brought out in crate, took him home, discovered HIS EARS WERE STILL DIRTY!! Had to bring a fearful cat back in for their incompetence. 2020 Summer: Took our 1+ year old German Shepherd in for Check up and Ear Check and cleaning. Our first big dog, 2nd dog ever, so we were nervous about "digging in his delicate ears". They brought him out untreated, saying "he wouldn't let us do it". Wow. OK. So we took him home, and I called to make another appt. That's when I was told we would have to "HEAVILY SEDATE HIM BEFORE BRINGING HIM IN FOR EAR CLEANING"...not for surgery...generic ear cleaning because "of his size" 88 lbs. I refused, was on the phone two different times while at work, they got me so upset, i was in tears, telling them "I have to go, I'm getting upset and am at work, we refuse to sedate our dog for ear cleaning. After that I called 14, yes, 14 Vets around the area, none would take that approach, except for a couple on the basis if the animal was aggressive. He is NOT aggressive. I told them we were going elsewhere. NOT RECOMMENDED- CHEWY.COM also stressed to stop going to them is they're pushing sedation. The Office Mgr is UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. EVEN TO CHEWY.COM RECENTLY. THEY'RE BEING REPORTED. We have taken our Rescue Chihuahua mix here since we got her in Fall 2012. On the first visit the Dr identified an all over “itch” condition, and shared his dog suffered the same issue. The medicine was very effective in relieving her distress, and through trial and error with other meds, she still takes it. These professionals listen to the pet owners, as well as being upfront with suggested treatments, including prices when asked. There are no surprises when you get the Bill, as is the case with other places. My Son is going to bring in his Shepherd puppy for his first Puppy Visit, and I am confident he will also become a Regular here at Alderwood VCA. Their prices may not be the lowest, but their level of care and Professionalism is priceless, and truly appreciated! Plus, being open 7 days a week, is awesome!

Today, on Maxie Bisom’s 8th birthday, our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the doctors and staff at the VCA Alderwood Veterinary Clinic on 24th and 196th St. in Lynnwood! Maxie only weighed TWO OUNCES when she was born and her long-term prognosis was not very good. My husband and I give all the credit to Dr. James and her staff who have given such excellent care and love to Maxie for the past eight years. Truly, Maxie would not be alive today without them! My special thanks, today, to Dr. Wood and super tech Mark. A huge thank you also to Sondra for her thoughtfulness in making Maxie a very special birthday hat. Maxie had a health crisis a couple of weeks ago and I thought she was dead when I rushed her through the doors of the clinic. As soon as I arrived, their highly competent staff took over in seconds. From the professional and caring receptionists to each highly skilled technician and top-notch veterinarian, Maxie received extraordinary treatment and compassion. They successfully resuscitated Maxie, kept her on oxygen and monitored her for hours. Maxie is alive and doing great thanks to their care. I have a special-needs puppy and could go on and on describing all of the numerous occasions over the past eight years that Maxie has received outstanding care. Pets could not be in better hands than at the VCA Alderwood Veterinary Clinic! They are the best!! THANK YOU ALL again for the exceptional care that you have given to Maxie and for keeping her alive and healthy all these years! We love you guys and will be grateful forever!!!
