Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic Lynnwood, Washington

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!! After 3 visits and over $1,000.00 spent, our dog still has the same issues with her ears. The first time we brought her in, her ears were in very bad shape. We explained that our son had spent the past several months in Children's hospital and we were struggling to get our dog into the vet because of this. From that very moment, they talked down to us like we were awful dog owners. When I asked for an estimate, the tone of the receptionist was VERY rude and condescending. She literally chuckled. Over $500 for her first visit which consisted of flushing her ears, sedation and some medications. We took her back for a second visit that was almost $400 for another ear flush, sedation and more medications. They treated my husband very poorly once again. Our dogs ears finally got better after the second visit, but then recently I noticed an odor from her ears again and she was starting to scratch at them. I made another appointment (and what will definitely be our last). When the vet came in to see her, his comment was "his ears are a disaster". (Funny how she's been in THREE times and she was being referred to as a him). They asked if she was still taking her meds 3 times a day. I pulled out her previous paperwork and the directions were three times a week, never 3 times a day. And her ears were actually substantially better than either the first or second visit, so to have made that comment was completely unacceptable. For this 3rd round, they wanted to charge us even MORE than the first visit when her ears were substantially worse. They treated my husband very poorly once again from the start of the visit. After having had enough of the poor treatment from the entire staff there, my husband and I decided we were going elsewhere. We declined all of the additional services and charges. They ended up charging us almost $200 for LESS than 5 minutes with the vet and another bottle of ear drops that totaled $33. These people seem to be after as much money as possible with very little compassion for either the dog or the dogs owners. I've found another clinic that we are excited. I will not spend my hard earned money at a place who doesn't seem to want my dog to get better or treat myself or my husband with dignity and respect.

There is an employee named Melanie who is rude and very unprofessional. I am not sure who allowed her to be the one to take phone calls and set people up to work with this office but she should not be one to speak to customers. She decided that my animals wellbeing and comfortability was not a priority. Its disrespectful and negligent.

Every member of the staff is informative and helpful. The doctor is knowledgeable, communicative and works with you the pet owner.

Dr. Rich has been wonderful. She's thoroughly answered all of our questions regarding treatment for our dog. I feel very well listened to and taken care of here.

Dr Duclos saved my dog's life. He took one look at the skin and guessed that it was Pemphigus and biopsy confirmed the same. The clinic staff and everyone is super awesome and I cannot recommend this enough! My pup is super energetic but from Feb this year he has not been himself with crusts appearing all over his body. We tried elimination diet and bunch of antibiotics but nothing worked. All other allergy clinics were booked months out but ASAC squeezed us in early after I made a plea. My pup is back to his normal self after 3 months of prednisone. Dr Duclos is very experienced and patiently answered all my questions. So grateful to everyone at ASAC.

Dr. Rich is the only doctor for my dog peanut. she's been getting recurrent allergy problem and Dr. rich takes time to make sure that my dog is the most comfortable and always listens to me well. as you can tell with before and after picture they really saved her life!

If you're in the Northwest and need a dermatologist for your furry friend, this is really your only option. Honestly they're good at what they do and our pup's skin condition has gotten significantly better, but they lack people skills. It's been our experience that we always have to make time for our questions in the appointment--they'll won't ask if we have questions. We have to ask what's happening and why in standard appointments--they won't just explain. And there are times when we ask questions and we're looked at/talked to like idiots. But at the end of the day our pup is healthy because of them.

Highly recommend for all your animals that require care for allergies both environmental and food. I have a Yorkie with food allergies who suffered chronic eye and ear infections until coming here. We also had allergy testing for our Olde English Bulldogge after constant sores, lesions, ear infections and finally have him stable after allergy testing and his ongoing monthly injections. They specialize in medications a regular vet does not. Don't waste your money elsewhere when you can get the best care and comfort for your beloved pet at Animal Skin & Allergy.

Dr Duclos and his entire staff are so great. We have taken both of our collies here (severe allergies) and they have taken great care of both of them. Highly recommended by Molly the collie.

I would not recommend this place. After we started the treatment, our puppy’s condition is getting worse. They told me the treatment took about two years to get rid of the allergy but when we have finished the first year treatment and didn’t see the situation get better(actually it’s even worse) and we were told that the injection/treatment was a lifetime thing. I was really surprised that they tried to cheat on me. The treatment was expensive and if it did work out I don’t mind doing the lifetime treatment. Actually after we stopped the treatment our puppy’s condition is much much better.

I would avoid this place if at all possible. They could have cared less about my dog and all they wanted to do was get him under the laser. They never printed out an actual estimate and quoted me $1000-1200 for the procedure. Charged me $2000 when I picked him up. Luckily they left the estimate on on voicemail so I replayed it for them. Wouldn’t change the fee. Unprofessional and a complete racket! We will drive to Portland or elsewhere before we go back.

I have to say, eventhough it was an expensive appointment, it was well worth the investment in our puppy's well being! Everyone there was so kind and caring and knowledgeable! And the allergy test took no time at all! I am so grateful for this clinic and the brilliant doctors who reside there! Thankyou Naomi! We look forward to Brady getting to enjoy his full life without allergies bringing him down!????????????????????????????????????

Excellent! They diagnosed my dog’s condition right away, gave us exactly the etiology and after a week he is doing much better. We have been to other vets and spent tons of money trying to figure out what was wrong with him. One visit, reasonable cost. Highly recommend!!

My cat has a longstanding ear condition that other vets have not been able to fully describe or treat. Dr. Duclos was able to fully clean out his ears and send a sample for testing. Excellent description of cat ear anatomy. Hopefully this will put Saturn on the road to recovery.

Excellent and extremely knowledgeable Doctor. He found what was wrong with our dog that 3 other veterinarians couldn't. Highly recommend for skin and allergy.

After seeing multiple vets to help my 1.5yr goldendoodle with chronic ear infections, skin infections, and relentless itching....I finally found my way to see Dr. Duclose. He was WONDERFUL. They deep cleaned his poor ears and completed the skin tests during the very first appointment! I know it will take 6-9mo of the allergy shots before he builds up an immunity, but I am just so grateful to finally get answers to the problem rather than constantly treating the symptoms. I couldn’t be happier!! Everyone in the office was friendly and even helped me get my groggy pup back into the car. I would recommend this doctor to my friends, family, and anyone asking for a referral! I’ll will update the post with the final results when I have them!

Dr. Duclos and his team are very good at what they do. My dog suffered from an issue that was mimicking other skin issues. After nearly 2 months of unsuccessful treatment by the local vet, we went to Dr. Duclos who was able to diagnose the issue quickly and correctly despite it being something quite rare. Dr. Duclos and his team stay in weekly contact between visits (we are 1.5 hrs away). While this has been an expensive road, I feel that the care and treatment once we got to the Animal Skin and Allergy Clinic has been spot on and we'll worth the time and $$.

I would not recommend this clinic. I felt they were interested more in how much they could bill you for and treat your pet with possible solutions - like throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks. We brought our retriever here to help relieve allergies. She has never itched and scratched herself more than after being “treated” by the staff here. Each suggested treatment was worse than the last with miserable results. All I was told is it could take months of treatment before seeing results. Our pet is in worse shape after being treated here and now we more issues to resolve. Save your money and seek a better “expert” as that is not what they are here.

Dr. Duclos and staff helped us get our 10 lb Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier rescue doggie (@buster_the_terrhuahua) relief with allergy shots. We’re down to just giving him one shot a week now and it’s super easy (pinch shoulder skin, distract with treat, poke, give more treats, done!). We are still giving him Apoquel once a day as well but we are thinking that after a full year of the injections have gone by, he will not need those anymore. Go see them if your doggie has itchy paws or watery eyes!

After unnecessary diet restrictions (which were expensive), they finally did the skin test (expensive). They came up with his anti-allergy meds (expensive); but he developed paw problems. Tried so, so many pills & visits & cleanses & visits (expensive). Finally I maxed out 2 credit cards. They called to see how he was: the SAME. Dr has a new idea! I say, I hope it's inexpensive or free. THEY NEVER CALLED AGAIN. Nothing like PRETENDING to care !!!

Very friendly staff, Very Knowledgeable and was able to treat my dogs long term skin allergy issues, where the normal vet just kept trying different meds and costing me money, he made the right diagnosis the first time.

Fantastic doctor and staff!!! The true expertise in allergy's and will get your pet on the right track to being able to tolerate the allergies or problems or whatever it may be you're dealing with. Highly recommend the facility.
