I was tired of the lack luster service from VCA so when a family member recommended Dr. Katie I was more than willing to give this place a shot. I am very happy I did. The staff are all wonderful and unlike other places I have gone this felt like a very pet friendly environment. For the fist time I can ever remember my cat wasn't acting anxious or scared at the vet. I also think it's brilliant and adorable to have the reception area separated into a cat side and dog side. Edit: Five years later and I am still glad I go here. For front desk staff to be understanding and accommodating while they’re down on doctors and dealing with a pandemic is just really really appreciated. Glad my cat is a patient here <3

I have been bringing my cats to Cowlitz since 2007. Dr. Stevens and her staff have always been compassionate, caring, and honest, they always listen to my concerns, offer solutions, and suggestions for the best care for my cats. Just a side note three of the four cats that I have are rescues...each has a unique health situation. My cats have thrived thanks to Cowlitz Animal Clinic. I would highly recommend Cowlitz, they give each and every pet the attention they need like it was one of their own. Hands down diamond in the veterinary world.

The staff here were very sympathetic to me when It was time to say goodbye to my two senior cats of 18yrs in age.. and then a little rescued kitty with health issues.. And now I have two more cats both from different shelters, Cowlitz Animal Clinic has been the best in understanding my new furry babies.. Plus they are always nice when I call with questions never brushing me off.. And yes I would refer friends and family to Cowlitz Animal Clinic ????❤

We have been using Cowlitz Animal Clinic for over 15 years. The staff is always friendly and Dr. Kate is wonderful with our pets. We adopted our current dog from the Clinic 71/2 years ago after loosing our former dog. Dr. Kate also took care of him and it broke her heart as well as ours when he had to leave us. I always recommend Cowlitz Animal Clinic to anyone wanting a Vet.

I had been going to this vet for almost 20 Years. I've never had an issue with them until July 19rh. Apparently they have lost two of the vets due to clients being rude. (According to De. Katy) They were almost an hour late seeing me and I had to wait in the car. When I questioned the receptionist when she kept walking by my car, why I was waiting so long she was condescending. I'm not saying I wasn't a bit upset....I never yelled or cussed or anything. After the appointment Dr. Katy came out and told me we couldn't return because I was "rude". This was literally the only time I ever questioned them about anything. So to me it seems like she just took it out on me that people have been rude since COVID and the other vets quit. I also emailed them to apologize for the way I approached the whole thing and they weren't even professional enough to respond. The just mailed me my pets records.

I bought a flea and tick pill from Cowlitz Animal Clinic. Quit. Easy. Cheap. Can't beat it. I'll be buying my flea meds there from here on out.

The most caring, compassionate, knowledgeable vet I have ever encountered.

Very trustworthy clinic. My dog, a black lab/Rottweiler mix, got a cancerous tumor on one of his paw's, in between his pads. They removed what they could of the tumor, unfortunately it had grown deeper than they were able to be able to cut out, so he still has some tumor in there somewhere, but they removed most of it. I've taken him there a few times since the surgery and they've always been really prompt, friendly and caring. They're also knowledgeable, they had good answers for all my questions and made me feel comfortable in the fact that my dog would be taken care of by friendly people, who just want to help animals. On one occasion they actually donated antibiotics and the pain pills for my dog, because of my financial situation. Really appreciate these people and the service they provided

Fabulous vets with kind hearts. Only wish we could join our dogs at their appointments. Very pleased with their environment ????

I have been taking my animals to Cowlitz Animal Clinic since 2007. This clinic is hands down the best. My guys have received high quality and compassionate care through many health crises and emergencies. The staff has a diverse background of training (ie acupressure, PEMT, cold laser)—they are holistic and cutting edge with both knowledge and equipment. They have been doing an incredible job during trying times, when pet owners have been stressed to the max (and sadly not always on their best behavior). Cowlitz Clinic is independent and locally owned, which is becoming a rarity. Bring your furries and love to this clinic..you will not regret it!!

Best animal clinic in Cowlitz county.

I'm so disgusted with ALL the vets in our area, my dog Maggie on the 1st of June 2021had puked all night long in the morning I started calling all the vets, not taking new patients and or full that day I had the money well ended up calling 3 places in Vancouver finally one gave me name of Dove Lewis in Portland took her there about hr after we got home vet called my Maggie passed away. Don't know from what, if just one Vet would have seen her maybe she'd b alive.

Members of our “family” have been patients of the Cowlitz Animal Clinic for over 35 years. They have always treated us with the utmost in compassionate care. We are really grateful for their consistency and responsiveness through thick and thin. Our love and commitment to our furry children is matched by the incredible staff at Cowlitz Animal Clinic.

Absolutely the best. Calm, quiet and friendly. My senior dogs have gotten the best care and follow up I could ask for. I highly recommend Cowlitz Animal Clinic for all your small animal needs.

Cowlitz Animal Clinic is the BEST.

All of the veterinarians at Cowlitz Animal Clinic have been very helpful to me and my animal family. My little dog has Cushings Disease and they helped me to regulate her medication by consulting with other veterinarians, one from the drug company. They have done extensive dental work on all three of my pets and the results have been to improve their health. Thank you to Dr. Katie and all of her staff.

They are the best we have been with them 7 Years and will not take our Zoey any where else. Dr. Katie saved Zoey from dying when she was a pup now she is 7 years old and we still have her with us and enjoy everyday we have with her. Thank DR. Katie and all the staff at the clinic they are the best.

???????????????? For the first two years dealing with Cowlitz Vet clinic with my lab, I had no issues. However, I now have a Frenchton puppy who was recently seen to get neutered. When he got home he couldn’t bark or make any sounds for 2 days, and by the 3 day he was passing black stools. Without going into all the details, I felt confident his symptoms were related to the surgery & Cowlitz clinic denied it. They did recheck him (for a reduced fee) and then a week later sent me his records & a letter terminating future care.
