This review is long over due as I was here over a year ago. However, I have not stopped thinking about how incredibly grateful I am for the staff and the service at this vet. My dog Gracie ended up having a Pyometra infection which they diagnosed right away. She was in very bad shape and had to stay over night to get IV fluids, antibiotics and a blood transfusion. They took such good care of Gracie, they called me through the night to update me and were very transparent that she might not make it. They recommended I book her into another vet the next day to get the emergency surgery that was required to treat the infection as it would be cheaper than doing it there. I found another AMAZING vet in Cloverdale (Snowden Animal Hospital) who got me in right away. Fraser Valley clinic, got Gracie ready to go and transferred over her records. Gracie had her surgery and she has made a full recovery and I am so thankful to everyone involved! Fraser valley even contacted Snowden to see how she was doing which I thought was very sweet. Again I am so grateful and cannot thank this clinic enough!!

Fantastic service during a terrifying time. My youngest rat was in respiratory distress late at night, and we found this hospital after a frantic google search. They took my ratty in immediately and had her on oxygen quickly. The staff and vet kept me up to date and showed compassion for our pet and my husband and I. The fee was extremely reasonable considering the time of night, the quick service, and nature of care provided.

I came in with my Husky puppy kekashi who had some roundworm issues. Not only did they do a full examination for the stomach they also, notified me he had a heart murmur and the precautions I can take to help him. Love the service and the proactiveness of the staff. Would come here everytime I have a pet emergency. Only wish they also did general practitioner because over all great experience. They really put my mind at ease in the middle of the night at 3 am.

I have had to (unfortunately) visit here several times for after hours emergencies for my cats across several years. I only have good things to say about the vets and staff who have helped me and my family in emergency and end of life care for our pets. It is great to know they are here and staffed 24/7 in case of emergency. Always kind, thorough, patient, and compassionate in the most stressful and difficult of times. Thank you!

Not enough good things to say about this place! They helped us with an emergency with our kitten who had gotten something stuck in his mouth and we couldn't get it out ourselves. They were amazing with everything from our phone call on our way there to the end with take home instructions. They took our scariest night with our kitties and assured us that everything was going to be just fine. Exceptional animal hospital with exceptional staff.

Extremely kind and helpful staff! My kitten Binky was acting a little off so I decided to give them a call and they were super great & kind, when I brought him in they were able to quickly treat him and figure out what was going on. They also are connected with Trupanion so I did not have to wait at all for my payment to go through & was so thankful for that. My binky is back to being his happy and energetic self, I am so relieved!!

Our dog was referred here with an intestinal obstruction after eating some rocks (I know, right?). Grade A care and a great surgical outcome with no wait considering the urgency of the situation. Our dog is doing great one week later and the techs are still providing phone advice because our regular vet clinic can’t quite figure out post-op care. ER care costs money..the overhead of a 24/7 clinic cannot be appreciated by everyone but this clinic went above and beyond the call of duty for our dog. Thanks guys!

Awful service. Rude. Don’t care. Just want your money. Never felt disrespected and disgusted the way I did here. DO NOT EVER go here!!!

I can't say enough about the amazing staff and vets. Two nights ago we brought our cat in as she appeared to have had a stroke. From start to coming home Smudge was well taken care of. The communication over the phone was excellent (covid), Dr Noble is incredible. We felt she went above and beyond explaining how to care for Smudge going forward. They did give us a cost estimate after she was seen, which is important and unfortunately part of decisions that are made. ???? it's going to be more than the usual vet appointment, but never did we feel it was about money. Thank you front staff at 2am for smiling and staying positive and keeping us in the loop when we can't be with out furbabies

Terrible phone manners. If you are worried about your dog don’t even bother with this place. They told me my dog “was not an emergency” at 3AM based on the symptoms I described OVER the phone mind you, and they made this decision without seeing my dog physically or conducting ANY tests or bloodwork. This is incredulous, as at any point my dog’s issue could worsen over a span or a few hours. They told me to bring him to a regular vet and I told them I didn’t have one, and the lady of the phone simply told me “well you have to find one, because we don’t take appointments..” After reading other reviews here, I may have dodged a bullet. Apparently they are only an emergency clinic—fine, but they get to decide what an emergency is over a phone call, without examining or seeing a dog in person first? Yikes. I understand severe cases take priority but… customer service has a long way to go here. Stay away from this place.. Try Boundary Bay on 64th, had a great experience with them last year.. I mixed up the two while searching on Google.

During a period of immense stress with my dog being unwell. I called this clinic in hopes of having my dog treated for a very severe acute infection. I spoke with the receptionist they told me bring your dog in and we will see her right away. As soon as is arrived to the clinic I brought my dog inside. My dog was not friendly with staff, I was instructed to wait in my car for about 20 mins as the vet said they would prepare a room for my dog. That 20 mins ended up becoming 6+ hours of me waiting in the car with my dog, the veterinarian then asked me if I can afford X Y Z exams and I would have to pay first. This female veterinarian was very incompetent, after sparadically calling them to ask when will my dog be admitted they stated this is not an emergency we will see patients based on level of emergency. For one this establishment clearly cares about money and they manipulate owners who are under severe stress of their pet being sick. Secondly my dog is a pitbull and I felt some bias and unethical treatment due to my dog's breed. If you love your animals please search for different vets in Langley do your due diligence and prepare an action plan for your pet if onset illness occurs. I'm glad I never came here due to the horror stories I've heard about this place.

We had several wonderful experiences with the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley this year. Sadly today, we brought our almost 12 year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in for an assessment as she was really struggling to walk. Dr. Lavely was so kind, understanding and open about options for us and our dog Kaia. She, and all of the staff, helped us make an extremely difficult day a little easier to bear. Thank you for your compassion and expertise.

We have had a number of emergencies with our rabbits over the past few months, and the AECFV vets and staff have proved very competent and compassionate.

This hospital is amazing! my furbaby Bernie was so sick and we had him transfered from Scottsdale Vet. From the first phone call, admitting him in for a few days and leaving the staff are above and beyond! The veterenarians, nurses, reception and assistants are super friendly, informative and compassionate. Yes they are super busy and yes it may take time but they are juggling animals and maintaining smiles and positivity. I was so worried and was calling every morning and evening while they treated Bernie and all the staff I spoke to eased my anxious worry and took the time to explain everything keeping me in loop of his progress . I highly recommend this place to anyone and even though I hope i dont have anymore pet emergencies I would call this place first before anyone else. Thanks again to everyone who helped my lil guy he gives you 10 purrs out of 10!

Although my gecko couldn't be saved the vet tried to do everything she could even though she did not specialize in reptiles. I called every vet in the lower mainland and they were the only ones even willing to try and help. Thankyou for trying.

EDIT:::You're right! It was the other clinic that did his teeth. You however were wonderful with his emergency issue, so 5 stars anyways!

I brought my kitten, Hunter, in this morning because he was not breathing well and quite unresponsive. Dr. Noble was quick to help and gave us all the options possible. Unfortunately he was not going to make it as he was in such critical condition. The staff was very considerate and kind. Very informative and even though it wasnt a great memory, I will not hesitate to bring any of my other animals here if they need urgent care.

We are so incredibly thankful to the staff at this clinic. Our dog Honey was in terrible shape when we brought her in tonight. They assessed and treated her quickly and she is resting at home tonight because of care she received here. We cannot thank you enough ????

Soooo upset!!!!!!!! Not only was I charged an arm and a leg for my pet, the lady who took my credit card over the phone must have recorded my info. The next day there was a charge on my visa unauthorized over $600. Do not provide them with your credit card info via phone. This should not be an option for payment with all the dishonest people in the world! The only reason you get two stars is because my pet is alive still.

I want to thank the staff and doctor for taking care of Reuben this Saturday night. From first phone call until we got to go home, communication was clear and easy. With Covid protocols going on, we felt completely involved and cared for. Our care team was able to treat my corgi, perform the tests needed, and send the little guy home after the procedure. The communication we received feels nothing short of 5 stars and we are so glad this clinic is close by to us. Thank you everyone who worked on Saturday night that cared for Reuben and hope we won’t have to see you all again, but if an another emergency happens, we know we will be in good hands.

Worst clinic ever , they only care about money , In Order to get more money , they just accepted sick animals as many as they can and let people waiting for even 6 hours , our cats have animal emergency, so we called them and they let us bring our cats to see the Vet , we drave more than one hour to the vet , but wait for four hours and our cats still did not get any exam or treatment , they said Dr did not have time to see our cats , their common excuses is there are other critical animals need to be seen firstly , then I told them our cats have medical emergency too , then their excuses changed to others came earlier than us which is a big lie , when we came and we only see one car parking there , but the real problem is they never tell us that our cats need to wait for 3 hours and still can not see vet , otherwise we just go to other energy vet clinic ,when I questioned that , they said some people wait for 6 hours already and I do not have patient because we only waited for 3 hours ?! They should not let so many people coming and wait for several hours to see vet , they Should tell people how long they can get chance to see Vet , specially all animals are all have urgent medical situation, this vet only care about money and super selfish , they do not care pets are suffering from waiting for hours without exam and treatment , they just tried to get sick pets as many as they can to earn money as much as they can , they do not care how suffering animals are to wait for 6 hours specially they are in pain , do not recommend this vet at all unless your pets and you are willing to wait for 6 hours without vet seeing your pets and your pets have to suffer from pain for 6 hours waiting time !

I will start this review with the very real fact that the care we received from this hospital was professional and excellent. But as I write this, 80% of Canadians have their first Covid vaccine dose and 60% their second, yet this place WOULD NOT allow you in with your pet. This, when I can line up maskless at a supermarket, yet can't go in to be with (what most of us consider) a member of your inner family. I watched a man beg to be let in with his dog, only to be refused and break down in tears as he watched his dog led away. This kind of scene is absolutely heartbreaking and unnecessary at this point in the Pandemic. I will happily return to this clinic, only after it recognizes that while they may be helping the pet, they are injuring the customer outside, and begin to let fur parents in to be with their loved ones.

Hello, during that awful heat wave at the end of June I had to take our 3 year old female shepherd Reya to the Animal Emergency and it wasn't heat related at all but she wasn't eating or drinking and in the end it turns out she had somehow got a foreign body lodged in her lower jaw area and had an infected abscess on her throat. This was the reason she had no interest in eating or drinking. She unfortunately had to wait to be treated right away as she was stable and the great people there were dealing with so many cases of heat exhaustion in pets during that weekend that it was understandable there were animals triaged ahead of her. Once she was seen Dr.Ricka later that night she got to the bottom of her issue right away and stayed beyond her shift that night to perform the surgery on Reya to lance and drain her very painful abscess. She has since recovered completely and is doing well and back to her old self. My wife and I can't thank all the dedicated staff there enough and especially Dr.Ricka who took so good care of our girl. We found out later how tough of a weekend it was for everyone and have so much admiration for all that work there. Thank you !!!

We're still grieving the loss of our family cat, but the Fraser Valley Animal Emergency Clinic helped us immensely when our cat was in his final stages. The support they gave as we spent time with him and the care that they provided our cat and our family was beyond our expectation. Thank you for allowing us the space and time to grieve, and for being so patient with us as we said our goodbyes. We will never forget your care and professional support~

I recently brought my kitten Winston in for vomiting/diarrhea and lethargy. Due to COVID you are not permitted to enter with your pet and all communication is done over the phone, you hand your pet over outside and they call you with updates. The staff were very kind to me on the phone and took all of my information/his medical history. The vet who examined him gave me all of the options upfront and we decided on trying some home care rather than admission to the hospital that day. I was sent home with clear instructions and communication on how to monitor his progress. I believe that they have read the reviews that have mentioned pricing and all costs were clearly communicated to me so I could make a personal decision on finances. The staff and vet were happy to answer any questions I had about costs or care. Winston has recovered very well at home! I was initially hesitant to take him in due to the split good/bad reviews, but I think it is worthwhile to consider that we are taking our animals here in times of great stress and may misinterpret/forget things as emotions are high. I had a very positive experience and highly recommend this location for any pet emergencies! I have attached a photo of Winston, everyone loved him and I felt that he was very safe with the staff :)

WARNING: if we followed the instructions of the receptionist at this place, our puppy wouldn’t be alive right now… For context, we called this emergency hospital because my puppy had eaten a cigarette on a walk and was having major seizures so we needed to get her to emergency ASAP. We called this emergency clinic and the lady who answered first asked if we were calling for an emergency. When we said yes and explained what happened, she acted like it wasn’t an emergency and said we could “simply” just fix this issue home by calling a poison control number. And hung up without trying to learn more about what was happening. We tried calling the number and was put on hold for over 15 mins. We realized our puppy wasn’t going to make it if we didn’t do something fast and rushed her to a different pet hospital where the vet said she would have died if we didn’t take her in any sooner. A good vet hospital needs to ask the right questions to see whether something is an emergency rather than just automatically passing us off. Extremely irresponsible.

Phoned the Animal Emergency Clinic last night at around 9:30 p.m... My 8 year old Pitbull had been vomiting quite a bit, the last 2x had a lot of blood in it. Brought him in, by 10 p.m. ish and the place was BUSY! We all know how important our pets are to us, and I feel it is very important to comment on the PROFESSIONAL, FAST, AND CARING treatment that we received. SYDNEY was like a Angel..she swooped in and after a few important questions took him and because of Covid restrictions asked me to wait in the car. They didn't make a move without calling and consulting me. Then Dr Allyson called me and discussed what she thought was the best course of actions. Having owned my dog since he was 8 weeks old, and Pit bulls having such a "reputation" for being aggressive , no one even batted a eye.. which I truely appreciate as I've taken him to other Vets who have told me" not their favorite breed". I am very happy to say that Chumley is feeling MUCH better..and we would ABSOLUTELY recommend ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC OF THE FRASER VALLEY with 10 stars!!???????????? Thanks so much Ladies, so much appreciated Linda and Chumley Allan

Excellent service. My 7 month old cat Murphy got neutered 4 days ago at my local vet and today the healing process must have made the incision itchy. He managed to scratch the area with his plastic cone and I found him today will blood over his cone and what appeared to be a possible slightly open incision. I bought him a soft cone instead and called the Emergency Clinic as it was after hours and my vet was closed. Staff asked me to text them a photo, and got a response within a minute from a Vet Tech. They advised to bring Murphy into the clinic as the photo did not appear concerning at first, but wanted to check the area in person. I drove to the clinic, waited only 5 minutes in the parking lot before recieving a phone call to bring Murphy to the front doors. The ladies retrieved Murphy, and within 5 minutes they were back at the front door telling me the incision area has been healing nicely, does not require any additional treatment and to use the new soft cone instead. Best part of it all, when I asked for the invoice, she stated there was no charge for a quick examination. I was in and out within 10 minutes and had the peace of mind that Murphy's neutering surgery was healing well and had nothing to be concerned about.
