I called the kennel. To see if they could board my female Boxer. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who took all the information and would call me back. He called back a short time later and yes they could take her for the weekend. I showed up to drop the dog off and was amazed at how profession the reception and drop procedure was. Additionally I was very impressed how clean the facility was. All in all I would totally recommend the kennel to any one wanting to board there pet.

I called in to inquire about the requirements. A man on the phone told me a daily authorization of $500 was necessary for DAYCARE... no thanks.

Everything is tough right now with covid. But while standing out side the building in the rain still had to call and try to navigate all the menu options to try and get connected with the front desk. Very frustrating. Please post a phone number with an extension on the front door (so someone can talk to you while you hold your hand up to your ear telling them to call) and change your hours of operation on the sign if you're not going to be physically open.

This is the first time I have had to board my cats and frankly I was a bit nervous but when I arrived at Aldergrove Kennels I knew I was at the right place. The property is immaculate and when I entered the office and kennels, it was so clean and updated I knew my cats were in good hands. It is a family run business and Ron and Carol are so kind. The prices are reasonable and I highly recommend Aldergrove Kennels. I know my whole family will be repeat customers for years to come.

Aldergrove kennels have always been very accommodating and understanding during my sudden work schedule changes. Ron and Bob have always greeted me and my 2 pups with open arms. Dogs always have a great time and exhausted when I pick them up! I've recommended this kennel to my friends nearby and I will continue using them for the foreseeable future.

We have been taking our dog Vinny to this kennel for years, he LOVES Bob and is always so happy to see him when we drop him off. He is always kept in his own kennel and never put with other dogs, which is something very important to us as he doesn’t always play nice with others. Our dog has had some health issues in the past due to him being a pure breed and with that has come complicated diets and feedings but they always ensure he gets what he needs and is fed his proper meditations if needed. Ron, Carol and Bob truly care about Vinnys well being when he’s there and he always comes back better behaved then when we dropped him off which is a bonus for us but also nice to know he’s still getting the attention and love when we aren’t there.

My dog Amber (German shepherd)not easy to handle but Bob manages her very well , she has been to doggy day care twice and has been there boarding for 2 nights . She always comes back happy and restful. Will definitely be using this kennel again . Thanks all for looking after Amber so well.

WARNING: KENNEL COUGH! We contacted Aldergrove Kennels a few weeks before bringing our 2 dogs here, aged 3.5 years and 5.5 months. They had availability for the weekend we needed boarding and asked if we could stop by before hand to see the facility. When we dropped in Bob was kind and to the point. He showed us around the kennel and where the dogs would be for the remainder of their stay. I did have some hesitations that I expressed as our older dog has some aggression towards more dominant dogs. I wanted to make sure that no two dogs other than our own (whom live together, share beds, eat together and get along VERY well) where to get into contact. Which at other kennels that we previously use have had no issues with keeping her separated. I was assured that they would walk her alone and keep her isolated. Not only for other dogs, but also her safety and the handlers safety. When we came to pick up our two dogs, I went through how the visit was. I was told everything went great but they had a hard time walking the dogs together. Bob grabbed the dogs food container which was still almost FULL. When I had asked if they weren’t feeding them as much as requested, I was instantly to blame for giving them too much food in the container. We grab the dogs and put them in the vehicle. The puppy we had carried into the truck. Upon our drive home, I looked in the backseat and had found that our older of the two had a bite mark on her nose. We waited until we got home to look at it further, but when we had arrived at home and had the dogs settled into the house, we noticed that our puppy had a limp in his front legs. At this point, I was very disappointed and upset in how I picked up my dogs. We called in to the kennel and spoke with Ron. We explained our situation and that we had only picked up the dogs 45 minutes prior, our main objective was to find out if anyone had made a note of what happened and if we should be concerned for their health. Immediately, it was implied that we had harmed them when putting them into the vehicle upon pick up but he assured us he would ask around and call us back. Promptly he did so, called us within 5 minutes and stated that the dogs were fine when they were at their location. I will not be returning to this kennel after excuses and accusations were made. Saddened by the lack of care and service provided to our animals and us. Update: We had went camping with our dogs the day after we picked them up from the kennel. By that Friday, 4 days later, our older of the two started throwing up and had trouble breathing. We cut our holidays short and came home to be closer to a vet in case of an emergency. I had taken her in that next morning, on my way to the vet, my daughter had called saying our puppy was throwing up as well. I brought both dogs to the vet and found that they had kennel cough. Yes, both my dogs are fully vaccinated and up to date (thank God or it could have been worse). When we had done the initial visit before dropping the dogs off, I had asked if they needed to see documentation from the vet in regards to vaccinations, when they said no, that should have been my first red flag. After the owners response, clearly we noticed when we picked up the dogs that they had sustained injuries under your watch immediately. We had stated that as well when we had contacted you 20 minutes after picking up the dogs. You had implied that we had done something when putting the dogs into the truck, the only accusations made were from Aldergrove Kennels, we can only state what we observed upon pick up. You had never suggested not boarding them together and when we walked through your facility on two separate days, you had multiple dogs sharing different kennels. This kennel lacks caring and compassion for the animals as well as the customers. There are far better kennels in the lower mainland that take your animals safety and health seriously. My suggestion is to avoid this kennel and save yourself the $500.00 vet bill and stress that was caused to our household.

My working line German shepherd just stayed here for the first time for a weekend and I will definitely be using their services again! Very professional and experienced staff. I have used other facilities before and it seems that most of the staff are so young and inexperienced and not trained to handle more difficult or high drive dogs. This place had no concerns about my high drive German shepherd and were able to easily and safely handle him throughout the weekend. They were great about my calling to check in throughout the weekend and were able to give me detailed updates on his stay and behaviour. On top of all that it was the cleanest and quietest dog facility I have ever been to (and I have toured a lot before I chose a place to use). My dog came home happy and relaxed. Highly recommend Aldergrove Kennels!!!

Our dog, Osa, stayed with Aldergrove Kennels for two weeks over Christmas. The staff at the kennels were wonderful to her. She got a lot of one on one attention, multiple walks and she was happy and content in their care. They were very accommodating to meet our dog's nutritional needs and continued her training work in our absence. Highly recommend this team of great people to look after your dogs. Also, if you want an amazing trainer - this is the place. Ron is the best!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. They are well set up to make the drop off of your dog as easy as possible. They know their stuff and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog, Angus, with them. After a significant delay to our flight on the pick up date, they stayed open after hours to accommodate me and save me a trip back the next day. I would recommend them and would definitely bring my pet back to them again.

Great hands on training for you and your dog. Ron is great and the rest of the staff is too.

We would never trust anyone else with our German Shepherds. We use them while we go away on vacations and the training was very helpful while they were still puppies.
