We just finished with our pups first time being cared for and it was a success thanks to the k9 Academy. Asher is a 9 month old Great Dane, he weighs 120lbs and is a little nervous. We worried about finding a spot for him that specializes in giant breeds. We are grateful we found it. The owners have mastiffs and plenty of room for Asher to roam. They are easy to work with, sent us video updates of his progress and even gave him some eye drops that helped clean up his eye. The rates are reasonable and the owners are friendly.

Kristen is amazing. Our bulldog came back a new and improved doggie. He walks perfect on the leash now. Also doesn't jump on guests that visit our home. Thank you!!

We completed all of the group classes with Kim (Puppy, Basic, and Advanced obedience) and are so happy with the results for our 10 month old Belgian Tervuren puppy! He is well socialized with other dogs and people thanks to the good foundation taught in these classes. He also passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Kim is a great trainer; she has lots of experience and a true passion for her work! Would highly recommend.

So, where do I begin?! Kim Dailey and Mel Zing are just a treat to partner with! We started our training journey with Mel on April 24th, 2021 with our 12 week old Rottweiler puppy and haven’t looked back since! He absolutely loves Mel and I’m not kidding when I say he would leave me for her in a heartbeat! Haha. We signed up for puppy manners classes as well as added a training for our other min pin mix bundle of joy with Kim also joining in on our adventures. I’ve since noticed that it’s super critical to connect weeks in advance to maybe even months in advance for certain services at Lake Stevens K9 Academy as they tend to book up super fast! That means they’re that good and trustworthy! Both Kim and Mel are very responsive and are fully transparent, which I appreciate it. It’s not just about what our fur babies are doing great, but what we can work on to improve as well. Knowledge is power, and they absolutely have it! I have since booked additional training courses!

We brought are two dogs for a short visit to prepare for an overnight stay. Kim is awesome, very confident and knows her stuff!

Kim is such a great trainer and super easy to work with! My pittie Indy was very reactive to other dogs and I had previous meetups with trainers that didn’t give him much of a chance. Kim was very confident with him and willing to give him a shot. After only 3 meetups he was walking step in step with one of her pups! After our 5th session, I was even able to have a meet up with my pitties old foster parents and their pup (withiout Kim) without any fuss! She has left me and my dog with the tools to succeed long-term! 5 stars

Kim, k9 owner, worked with me and my English cream golden retriever starting at 3 months in private lessons and then through two puppy classes (she is 7.5 mo). Today I took her to farmers market for the first time she was perfect! Walked nicely beside me, sat when I stopped at a booth, sat when she was being petted. Very sweet and gentle. Several people commented on how well behaved she was (and beautiful of course). I am so pleased with how we have grown under Kim’s tutelage! Thanks Kim!

My dog is staying there for 3 weeks while I recover from surgery excellent place very professional and dog wise. My dog also had a hotspot and she fixed it overnight. He's been hanging out with a yellow lab and he has a new best friend.

Kim is a trustworthy trainer and I am very pleased with her services. She has worked on behavior modification, obedience training and other skills with all three of my rescue dogs. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a quality trainer who really cares about her clients and their dogs.

We couldn’t ask for a better person to care or train our dogs. She took care of our bullmastiff Mia that has issues of insecurity, Kim is the only new person that he would come near. He knew that Kim speaks dog so well. I wish we had met her years ago!

We have only good things to say about Kim and Lake Stevens K9 Academy. She has a gift with animals, and did a wonderful job helping us in the training of our Rottweiler puppy. We have been using her for years for pet care, and our dogs and cats all adore her! Would highly recommend her!!

I have had two dogs go through dog obedience training classes. Kim has a depth of knowledge with many different dog breeds and behavioral issues. Kim provides practical exercises to work with your dog to help them become good canine citizens. Class lessons or small group lessons are offered. I highly recommend Lake Stevens K9 academy.

I was so grateful for Kim after we brought home our spicy - and very smart - miniature schnauzer. He’s a sweet pup, but very opinionated, which is part of his charm - but in his young age, we needed him to understand how to roll with the pack. Kim quickly zoned in on his way of seeing the world, and helped me work with him in a way that was both loving and also let him know I was the one in charge. We’ve now arrived at a really sweet place where he guards me like he wants to, but also listens and trusts me when I want him to take it easy. I fondly think of Kim like a doula for my first time raising a puppy. More importantly than anything: he is absolutely gaga over Kim. She has a way with dogs like no one I’ve seen. I can’t recommend her enough, and am so grateful for her guidance!

Kim is nothing short of amazing. My almost 2 year old lab retriever and I have taken her advanced training course and she provides direction, input where correction is needed, homework to do and positive reinforcement. At the end of the training course, we’ve come away with a better, trained and well mannered dog and as a dog owner it has given me tools to correct and reinforce the training. I am so happy I found Kim and she’s such an overall great person and is so passionate about the work that she does. I highly recommend her services.

Kim has been training my dogs and I for over 10 years and I would have no one else do it. She is so good with the dogs and provides excellent feedback to their humans on how to improve. I mostly have done group lessons but also individual training. I work with a local rescue and have referred many of our adopters to Kim.

We have rescued problematic Australian Cattle dogs, Kim has been instrumental in helping them become normal. We are grateful for her.

I have been using Kim Dailey at K-9 Academy for years training multiple dogs that have come into our lives. Her positive approach to dog training is grear and my dogs absolutely love her ♡

We found out she's been feeding our babies expired food & leftovers. Also have seen bruises and cuts on them since using Kim. Keep your babies far away from here, we wish we did!!! And the owner knows well enough who we are despite playing dumb when we first discovered all of this and now!

I would not bring my dog who is a part of our family any other place but here.

Kim is wonderful. She loves my dogs like her own. She has been a wonderful trainer with our adult rescue dogs. She has taught them (and me!) with positive reinforcement and they have flourished. I will never go anywhere else. Love her!

Kim is an excellent trainer. She worked so hard to help us train our dog and help her overcome a stage of fear aggression she was experiencing. Kim is well versed in dog behavior and is calm and confident when training. She helped me understand our dog’s behavior, and made it easy to schedule training times since we live in Seattle and She’s in Lake Stevens. We were so pleased with our training experience that we started boarding our dog with Kim as well. It’s a 45 minute drive for us to drop off our pup, but totally worth it as we trust Kim and her staff implicitly. And more importantly, our dog LOVES Lake Stevens K9 Academy.
