What a great place! Appointments run on time! The staff is knowlegeable, and caring.

The staff at Lake Grove Vet Clinic are everything you could hope for from a medical service company. They truly listen to you. They ask questions to better get to the true causes of why your pet is not doing as well you want. They don't just "diagnose and done". They don't waste your money by convincing you that something should/needs to be done just so they can generate revenue. They are a true and caring partner in the management of your pet's health and well being. I've been with them for a long time and, despite living relatively far away for the last 10 years, will continue to entrust the care of my pets to them.

Wonderful customer care and the vet was fantastic!

We have been having our cats treated at the Lake Grove Clinic for 15+ years and recently had an emergency with one of our cats. The clinic has been, and continues to be, exceptionally responsive to our needs and that of our pets. There has been a consistency of high quality at this clinic throughout our time with them. The staff is kind, professional, and compassionate. We would recommend them to anyone.

As always the care was exceptional! Dr. Harvey and her team took amazing care of a dog I was pet sitting. It was an urgent situation and this dog had never been seen here before. It was beyond impressive the thoroughness of care she provided. I always recommend this vet. In my years of experience as a client, the care gets better and better. Thank you!

I have been taking my pets here since 1992. I would never go anywhere else except in an emergency. Dr. Harvey is the best veterinarian that I have had the pleasure of working with.

My German Shepherd is kind of difficult with strangers and other dogs, the staff here is very patient and caring, I will only let them take care of Cosmo.

I really appreciated the extra time taken with my elderly pug when we were trying to figure out what was causing his symptoms. I also like being able to have lab tests for letting us know what kind of viral infection he has

Writing this review does not bring me any joy. We started taking our dogs to LGVC in 2002. They took excellent care of our beloved Maeve until the time of her death in 2018. They also provided boarding care for her and our other dogs over the years. Recently, though, their service and care for our dogs is not what it used to be. The most recent example is my daughter’s dog, Belle, who has many health issues, and on August 9, developed a lower GI problem. We called the clinic mid-day with six hours left in their day and were refused care/appointment and told to take her to the ER. We called the local ERs in the area, and either they were not accepting any additional patients that day, or the wait was over twelve hours. We called LGVC back to again ask them for an appointment, which Dr. Harvey refused. They also would not offer us an appointment for the next day and stated it would be at least a week and a half before they could see her and maybe try driving to a Salem ER. This is no way to treat a pet parent of many years. The lack of compassion was astounding and bordered on cruelty to our Belle. We did end up taking her to a local ER, where we waited till one o’clock in the morning without ever seeing a doctor or vet technician. We ended up leaving when we no longer felt safe waiting in the car at that time of the night. We subsequently secured an appointment with a different veterinarian clinic, later that morning. I have read other reviews which indicate the clinic is under new management. I do not know if this is the problem, but something has changed. From once being a clinic who came to my home in 2015, when Maeve’s leg was run over by a car, and providing transportation for her to the clinic because I was so upset, to refusing to provide care for our Belle when she is suffering has led me to write this review. I can no longer recommend this clinic to family, friends, or neighbors. 9/14/21 9:28pm Your response illustrated my review beautifully. Oddly another clinic accepted our Belle as a new patient sooner than her “established’ vet would have seen her. So your excuses are not valid. You have no compassion for your pet patients and hide behind excuses. There is so much more I could include in this review regarding her misdiagnosis of Cushing’s, over-treatment with expensive medication, and tests performed by your clinic that have contributed to Belle’s current health issues, which were confirmed by an internist specialist at a local pet hospital. I hope pet parents read this and think twice before using your clinic. Your care and love for your patients surely have changed over the years, and not for the better.

The assistants and the veterinarian were generous with their time and compassion. The veterinarian took all my concerns seriously and made sure she addressed all my questions and provided suggestions as appropriate.

Dr Debess was very thorough and compassionate. We felt cared for and not rushed. We will definitely see him again.

Profoundly disappointed that they didn’t let us know that they are still doing curbside only. I have a high anxiety dog. I would have gone to one of our past vets (all of whom I have confirmed are doing in person) for this simple booster vaccine tech appt. What irritates me the most is that in making the appointment it was never stated that it was curbside only (when previously they always called it out - as did other vets I’ve called). Sure, I could have asked - that’s on me. But I’ve made many appointments in the past year for my 2 dogs and it just seems very sneaky that now they’re not mentioning it.

They truly care about my pets and are the first of three vets to help our rescue kitten recover from a mysterious skin condition. The process with our kitten has been stressful, sad, and expensive; however, the staff at this clinic is not only knowledgeable but encouraging and professional. We at times felt little hope for recovery for our peaches and this clinic has helped us navigate her recovery for the last 4 or 5 months. Thank you so much Lake Grove Vet! Went there with my elderly Dachshund Cooper and they were extremely gentle and affectionate, they were quick to provide service and managed the appointment very quickly. I did receive some bad news but the doctor handled telling me in an extremely delicate and sympathetic way. This is the best vet clinic, hands down. UPDATE: Unfortunately Cooper has passed very peacefully, but these vets are ABSOLUTELY the best. After he passed they sent me a sympathy card where everyone signed it with super personal caring notes about Cooper. You guys are actually the best, it meant the world to me. Bear is not the best patient with major anxiety going to the vet especially now with masks and without family in the room but Leah and Dr.Taylor went above and beyond to make him comfortable and get what needed to be done completed as smooth as possible. They even gave Bear a toy to go home with which has not left his side since coming home from the vet!

I have taken all my pets to Lake Grove for 15 years. From new pet check-ups to emergencies and even having to say goodbye to my furry family members, Lake Grove ALWAYS exceeds my expectations.

I could not even get a neuter estimate as I am new to this area and researching vet clinics! Price is no issue but the fact that they won’t even give a ballpark seems to me they are more interested in making money by getting a first exam. Think first before you make an appointment!

My dog absolutely loves coming here, and loves all the staff from the office workers to the assistants and especially his vet. I highly recommend this place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and vets at Lake Grove! I am fostering a wonderful golden retriever who needed immediate care, which is hard in the current COVID19 landscape. Lake Grove got me in the same day within 30-minutes of calling their office. They were attentive, caring and incredible thorough. I listen with a game plan to get my sweet girl healthy and could finally sleep through the night knowing she was seen by professionals. Every person I connected with - the receptionists, staff, Dr Taylor - were friendly and allowed me to talk and ask a ton of question. Highly, highly recommend!

Each individual that works there truly cares for your pet-from the front desk, vet techs, and doctors-they are incredible. Would highly recommend.
