When it was time to let our little princess go the emergency vets head up to 24-Hour waits in your car we called at home veterinary services for an assessment and euthanasia painful as it was they were a joy to work with

I used to be ride or die for them and appreciated the care they gave my dog towards the end of his life. I recommended then to friends all the time. And then the pandemic hit and they stopped seeing patients, and then it was ok we will see them as a drive thru but you have to wait 2 months for an appt, and then it was ok well we are feline only. After 10+ years of being a client I was just left out on my own with a dog that is literally eating himself alive and no vet to help me because every other vet clinic in the metro area is not taking new patients or can't see us for months. Even the emergency clinics won't take us. So my loyalty and thousands of dollars got me..... nothing. LOL.

We have been a client for close to a year now. We had a special need for in home services and they accepted us as new clients even though they were not accepting new patients at the time. We have always received exceptional service from Angie, who handles all of the appointment requests etc. Dr Mesher is very knowledgeable and shows so much compassion to my furbaby, she treats him as if he was her own. I feel very confident in the care that we receive from this clinic and I highly recommend them.

Will never know how their services are, because from the moment I sent an inquiry for a quote they disregarded my needs. I wished for a simple quote on end of life services. I've got an older cat whose time had come. A very emotional time, I had informed them that I preferred my quote to be emailed to me. Instead I got a phone call explaining that my cat isn't old, and that he would need an additional exam to pay for. I didn't write to them to be upsold on services. I found an alternative that recognized that this time and decision was hard for us and had compassion instead of turning the conversation into how I could best be a piggy bank for additional services. To treat someone in pain like this in a very sensitive time is a good reason to skip this company in particular.

It has taken me several months to write this review but I really wanted to thank both Dr. Tisha Posey and her assistant Rachel for the way they helped my wife and I say good-bye to our pup Bridger. My wife and I have both had dogs previously but Bridger was our first dog together and he was the first I had raised from a puppy. Looking back on it, I realized Bridger had been with me for over 30 percent of my life, he was more than just a dog for us and having to make the decisions to say good-bye to him was excruciating. We were able to get Dr. Posey and Rachel to come out to our house on a days notice when Bridger took a turn for the worse and we knew it was time to say good-bye, which was amazing because if they had not been able to fit us in, we would have had to have gone to another vet’s office where Bridger would have been uncomfortable. We had Bridger at our normal vet the day before and they had sent us home with a months supply of pain pills, not recognizing the signs. When Dr. Posey & Rachel arrived, they came back to our bedroom where we had Bridger and they took their time approaching Bridger so as to not startle him and they gave him all kinds of delicious treats so he was super excited to see them. They knew why we had called them and once they saw Bridger they agreed that it was the kind thing to do, to let him go. At that point, they asked if either of us had been through this before and with the answer being no, they took the time to explain the full process, which was incredibly helpful. Extremely hard to hear but helpful. At that point, they told us they would be going outside so we could say good-bye to Bridger and when we were ready, to come get them. At no point did I feel pressured, like they were on a time table, it was as if we were the only appointment for the day, even though I knew we were not. Once we had spent enough time with B, we went and got them. From there both Dr. Posey & Rachel were great with Bridger and us. The process was extremely quick but in no way rushed, and we could tell B was not in any pain and that he passed quietly. Again Dr. Posey & Rachel left us to spend a bit more time with B and once we were ready they came and put B on a stretcher and covered him carefully and then took him outside allowing us one last time to say good-bye. Even writing this several months later I am still getting choked up, but for me I am just so thankful for Dr. Posey & Rachel and the fact that we had not had to say good-bye at the vet office where B would have been anxious and upset making the experience that much worse for everyone. B was comfortable, happy to get lots of treats and was excited to see both Dr. Posey & Rachel, so when he passed, he was not stressed at all or in any pain. I cannot imagine not using At Home Veterinary Services for our regular veterinary needs, especially for the end of life. It may cost a bit more but the care you receive is so good, it is worth the money. Thank you again to Dr. Posey & Rachel for the compassion and caring, we could tell they were all about the animals which is what I am looking for in a vet!

I am so thankful for the compassionate care provided by At Home Veterinary Services. I was faced with the most horrible decision when my beloved cat Yeti was diagnosed with a fatal and incredibly painful oral cancer. I knew I had to help him end his suffering, and I did not want to subject him to the trauma of a car ride and vet office visit. So I chose At Home Veterinary Services, and I am very highly satisfied with their professional service and their humane personalities. From the first email contact with Angie, to the actual home visit, all services and information were delivered efficiently, professionally, and most importantly, kindly. At the home visit, Dr. Tisha Posey and Rachel Long, CVT, could not have been more awesome. They were incredibly warm, informative, kind, and patient. And excellent at their jobs. I am so, so grateful. They made a horribly sad day go as smoothly and as humanely as possible. I never wanted to say goodbye to my boy, but it was necessary. It was the best thing I could do. I highly, strongly recommend At Home Veterinary Services. I thank their staff from the bottom of my broken heart.

At Home Veterinary Services just came and performed the best exam EVER on my Percy! Good news, he just needed some antibiotics and mild steroids, as I suspected. The vet and tech were terrific, and the cost was honestly about the same as going in to my regular clinic, but without the stress. She actually had trouble listening to his lungs because he was purring so loudly! They took their time and clearly really cared about my boys (the tech was playing with my younger kitty). Strongly recommended!

I lost my Billie Cat on June 17th, 2017. She had terminal lung cancer and I tried everything to keep her alive as long as possible. I knew she couldn't go to the hospital again. So, I called At Home Veterinary Services to assist in possible hospice care. Throughout their visit, Dr Posey and Dr. Mesher provided so much genuine concern, comfort, and wisdom, that I was able to comfortably come to the decision to peacefully let Billie go. They even waited at the house while I took Billie Cat on one last "walk" wrapped in a blanket. I received Billie's ashes in a beautiful hand-carved wooden box along with letters from every vet she's ever seen, thanks to these ladies. You never want to lose a pet/loved one, but these ladies were gems during a difficult time. I don't think I would've gotten through it as well as I did if it wasn't for them.

Our sweet Mike crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. He was a gentle, loving and loyal soul and we are so grateful for the nearly 19 years he spent as a part of our family. Thank you to Rachel and Dr. Leddy from At Home Vet Services for helping our Mike leave this Earth with the dignity and compassion he deserved. Godspeed sweet Michael...we love you!

The entire staff was professional, courteous, patient and created an environment of peace and comfort during my dog's in-home euthanasia visit. I highly recommend AHV if you are thinking about putting your pet to rest.

We recently had to make the hard decision to put our beloved 18 year old cat to sleep. We wanted to make it as comfortable as possible for our kitty and wanted his final moments to be at home. Dr. Heather Dillon and her assistant Kathy came to our house and were as compassionate and sympathetic as anyone could possibly hope for, they were exactly the right people to help us through. They spent some time with us just talking, and we were able to put our complete trust in them. They were so kind to us and our cat, they made his passing so humane and easy for him. Even though it was a difficult thing to do, we knew we had made the right decision and the experience could not have been better. We truly appreciate their kindness and compassion.

Dr. Posey was incredible and extremely professional when she came to my home to euthanize my little kitty cat, Snowflake. She made sure I knew everything she was going to do ahead of time, and made sure Snowflake was in a comfortable place in the home for the process. She took me step by step as to what was going on and ensured I was as ready as I could possibly be in the moment. Her and her assistant were very gentle with Snowflake and gave me as much time as I needed with her. I would very much recommend At Home Veterinary Services to anyone. They were amazing and I can't thank them enough for making this difficult chapter in life so comforting and easy.

I can't say enough good things about this business. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to our Great Dane, Queeta, and were very happy with our choice to use their services when the time came. Throughout the entire process, everyone we interacted with was incredibly compassionate and ensured we were as comfortable as possible. They also ensured we were entirely informed on the process, something that made the entire situation much easier. The two vets who came to our home were so sweet, and my dog immediately warmed up to them - she was usually pretty shy around new people. They made sure everything happened on our terms and was exactly as we wanted it. Of course it was a very sad experience, but they made this situation as smooth and comfortable as it could ever possibly be. After her passing, we received her ashes promptly and were surprised with a hand-written cards by the vets present - something that really warmed our hearts. Thanks again for all that you do!

I'm so appreciative of At Home Veterinary Services. My pets get such good care. My questions are answered completely and quickly at visits, as well as via phone and email. The vets and vet techs are knowledgeable and caring. Recently, my dog collapsed at the end of a run. I was able to get him an appointment later that day-- on a Sunday. He received a thorough evaluation and tests were run. Dr. Dillon spent 40 minutes with me on the phone explaining the results on a Friday night. 40 minutes! I am incredibly grateful for everyone there!

I switched to At Home Vet from traditional vet clinics in June of this year. Initially it was because one of my cats has a terrible time in the car and I just didn't want to put her (or me) through the ordeal of showing up to her vet …

At Home Veterinary Services (AHV) has changed the lives not only of our pets, but our lives, too. AHV, and particularly Heather Dillon, DVM, was recommended to us by my niece, a specialty veterinarian who works with many metro-area clinics. She was impressed with Dr. Dillon and the service model of coming to a home with all needed, basic equipment, observing, and treating animals in the comfort and relatively stress-free environment of their homes. We have exclusively relied on AHV for 5+ years. We have received a range of services from them, including hospice care for two aging dogs, euthanasia of a dear dog friend, routine and specialty cat care, including in-home ultrasound services provided by a referral veterinarian, and care for our newly adopted 2-year old dog. All services provided have the same core values of support and exceptional expertise. What we didn't realize when we first contacted AHV was the exceptional education we would receive from all staff, including: telephone triage personnel; individual veterinarians; certified vet technicians; and, the practice manager. Their being in our home, seeing our animals in a more relaxed setting and having time to discuss multiple aspects of care has vastly expanded our knowledge to more fully and carefully provide for our pets. This is the greatest asset offered by AHV. We have recommended AHV Services to friends and neighbors and, without exception, the services they have received have been equal to those we have come to expect. We highly recommend the quality services and exceptional professionals of AHV.

AHVS helped me get to spend 3 months longer with my sweet lab Jed. Heather Dillon was amazing. Her compassion for animals, and care she gives them was above and beyond what I had expected. I am very grateful and blessed to have had my boy in her care. I highly recommend there services to anyone who is looking for home care, or just wanting that extra time with there pet before they move on to the afterlife. Thank you AHVS, I am forever grateful :)

Phenomenal knowledge and customer service Saved my very sick cat! It was night and day with our little nugget after the doctor was finished with her treatment. The reason I gave her the fifth star though was because she went above and beyond to teach me things and make sure I was knowledgeable and comfortable with everything that was going on with our cats. The staff is also very helpful and made it simple to get perscriptions same day! WHAT MAKES ME STAY is they NEVER fail to call me back or respond to my emails in a short amount of time. Hands down if your really care about your pets comfort and want the job done right, you will not go wrong with these guys
