Tanya has been absolutely amazing! We lost our pup just after New Years and we’re completely distraught and had no clue how to proceed. From the moment we walked through the door, Tanya really gave us a world class experience during one of the most difficult times of our lives. We chose a witness cremation so we could really give our pup the sendoff he deserved and be with him until the very end. She waited patiently while we paid our final respects in the viewing room and even let him be cremated with one of his favorite toys. When it came time to receive his ashes, she offered us to take him home while we wait for his custom engraved urn to arrive - so thoughtful in every respect. She is so good at what she does and knows exactly how to console and work with grieving families - a true godsend! She guided us through our worst nightmare with compassion and empathy. She deserves a pay raise and a paid vacation! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Thank you so much for being so quick and taking such good care of our fur baby Ginger. You guys did a beautiful job on the urn and we thank you so much for the beautiful card and the grief counseling brochure. She was our baby girl and you all showed such respect in the care of her cremation. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

I've had two pets memorialized by West Cost Pet Memorial through my vet, Atlantic Veterinary Hospital. They did such a beautiful job with both. They have so many boxes and urns to choose from, so I was able to have different options for both dogs. What I didn't expect was all of the other thoughtful touches: the paw print in clay, the tuft of hair, the seeds, and the grief and pet-loss pamphlets -- the latter of which I didn't even realize I needed to read until I received them. It felt like my pets were truly cared for and memorialized by caring individuals. I will cherish these mementos of my little pup family for years to come. Thank you so much!

I lost my kitty on the 20th of this month. When I picked her up today I saw such care and detail in what happened after she was gone. I didn't expect to see her fur or the certificate. Such small thoughtful details that give me peace knowing she was handled with care even in death like she deserved. Thank you for taking care of her. I also appreciated the poem and grieving booklets, they were comforting.

Messed up my posting, trying again! We are completely impressed with the caring and service we received after helping my sister in law with the loss of her beloved dog. Received a private cremation, beautiful rosewood box, death certificate ,paw print, lock of hair, seeds to plant and the owner even sent another plaque with the doggies name, spelled correctly, after we gave her the wrong info! Would highly recommend this business, they are the best!

I paid over $200 for an urn with a nameplate for my dog. I got a box, with a silk bag, with another bag inside that. No nameplate. Absolutely disgusted at how they think that's okay.

My husband and I had to put our sweet mini american eskimo Hannah down on Sept 19. We are so heartbroken over the loss of our sweet girl. When we received her ashes, we were so surprised by the gorgeous box she was retuned in, along with a paw print and a clipping of her fur. We did not get the opportunity to get her paw prints on our own. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful tribute to our sweet Hannah. She was such a bright light in our lives, and this brought us a bit of happiness in such a dark time.

We recently had to send our sweet Limsy over the Rainbow Bridge. She was our furbaby and cancer was taking over her body. Thank you for the care, dignity and respect regarding her cremation. We weren't expecting her to come back in her own engraved wooden box with locks of hair and a paw print. It is a treasure and we thank you. Thank you for the work you do. Many blessings.

Over the last few years we have lost several of our furry family members. Your company has allowed us to have them with us for a lot longer. urns, paw print, memorial card were all amazing. Thank you!

We just lost our beloved buddy suddenly. He came to you for his cremation. We just wanted to thank you so very much for the excellent job you did and thank you for your compassion and caring. He came back to us in a beautiful box, and an unexpected surprise locks of his hair, and a beautiful paw print that just made our day. We can’t thank you enough for your caring and taking such good care of our boy. Thank you again Bruce and Dana Lockerby

I wanted a nose print of my sweet precious baby Jazzy and they said they don't do them, that is crazy. Several other places show they do it, I did not choose this place my vet sent her there and I wish i could have go somewhere else. I am beyond devastated, she will be gone forever and it is a small thing to ask for them to do. This would not let me post without giving it a star so I gave it one star and hated to even do that!!!!

The pain of losing my best friend is still so fresh but I wanted to write a review nonetheless. As I left my vet (Bellingham Veterinary) I was crying so hard I could barely utter “I need 2 paw prints”. I picked up my private cremation box today and was so happy to see not only 2 pristine paw prints, but an unexpected bag of her fur as well. The flower seed packet is so perfect and wonderful touch that no one else provides. I love the plain box with no frills or embellishments (maybe those are available if wanted?) and the care taken in boxing up my Fiona made the unbearable pain of her loss a little less hard to weather. Thank you Gateway for giving me back my baby in such a thoughtful and compassionate way.

We were really impressed with the whole process. From gateway picking up our Ali and delivering Ali's ashes within 4 days. Gateway paid attention to all the small details. We received a paw print in a beautiful velvet bag, a condolence card with certificate of cremation, a packet of seeds to plant, and the urn wrapped in beautiful packing material. We were really happy with everything. Thank you

My husband and I were devasted when our cat Sherman passed away. This place is the absolute best. They were kind, considerate, friendly, and I highly recommend using them when losing a beloved family pet. We had our cat cremated and they had a huge selection of urns. Not expensive at all, professional, and high quality service.

I’ve had many furbabies pass away in my life. But my little Charlie is the first one we went with cremation. We had no idea what all came with it besides our four legged baby in an urn. He was sent in on my birthday, May 22nd for cremation and received him back exactly 7 days. I wanted to kick myself for not making a paw print before sending him off. But!! When I opened the box to look and see what he came in. Not only was the urn so small and perfect like my Charlie was, but there was a little blue satin synch bag in the box he came in, and I didn’t even have to open the bag to know what was in it. I felt his little paw inside and then I opened it and they put a clip of his hair in the bag too. There was also a bag of wildflower seeds that also came with him. We are getting ready to buy a house and that is where I will plant them. Thank you gateway for taking care of our baby. He was 16 years loved and we are eternity blessed with his love. Thank you Sandy Koski

One simple request was to have my african greys named Wicker wing and tail feathers in tact but this nasty company cut them up in pieces making me feel even worse for asking. Why would you hurt someone like this I complained to my vet as this is unacceptable its not hard to pull out the feathers in whole but there to cheap and use a small plastic bag with chopped feathers. To destroy my birds feathers and give them to me like that is disgusting and you could care less about my bird. May they feel the pain i felt by butchering what little i have left of him now. I should sue this company for what harm they did.

I suddenly lost my beloved Chico of 12 yrs at the ER Vet. His cremation was handled by this company and I was so thankful that he was handled with care. They gave me a beautiful cedar urn, a paw print, a lock of hair, seeds, pamphlet, and all in a nice box. I can’t express my gratitude to this company. Thank you so much.

The company must have changed hands. In 2011 I had my Lizzy cremated. It took three weeks to get her back and it was just a plain box. We had to buy a name plate for her little urn, it was a nice little wooden urn though. I picked up the ashes from my sweet old man, today. He passed on December 2nd. He was returned to me in a lovely engraved box. When I looked in the rest of the delivery box there was a lock of hair and his paw print as well as a pamphlet on dealing with grief of a pet and a packet of wild flower seeds. Beautiful package except I ended up ruining my eye makeup first thing in the morning. Thank you for taking care of my boy in such a caring way.

I am posting because I feel pain for all that have experienced a pet passing away. It is traumatic. The care takers here are the most thoughtful, loving, genuine individuals I have encountered with pets. True loving kind souls! I felt such desparation after my babe passed away, I didn't know what to do. I was so amazed by the return KIND and GENUINE calls back to help meet my needs. A beloved soulful experience.. Thank you for blessing my two beloved dogs, who passed away within 3 months of eachother. You helped give me solice and peace. I am forever grateful...

I called and needed a creamation for my beloved Mini Schnauzer. I called them and lady who answered said she wasn't coming in today because it was to cold and snowy and told me to go to my vet. I needed a creamation and this place wouldn't provide any services.
