Animal Health Services Kelso, Washington

This vet is not our normal vet but due to the snow storm ours was not available. We can’t thank this vet enough for being open. Unfortunately, our senior dog’s health declined rapidly over Christmas and needed to be put down (euthanized). We were instructed to go to Vancouver or Portland since our vet could not get to the office due to the snow storm. We decided to try calling locally first and we were added on the same day at this vet. We will be forever grateful for the service provided that day. The vet we were scheduled with, Dr. Powell walked my husband through the process and he felt very prepared. Although a sad time, we were very happy for the help provided by this office. It was professional, kind and timely. We were very thankful to also be able to stay local since the weather was so bad. We recently received her ashes and it was put together so respectfully with paw prints and other mementos of our dog. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Had an emergency with our dog and needed to get him in quick.. they go him in next day for an issue with his toe nail that he had split into the quick..they had to put him under since he is a rescue and never lets you touch his feet.. they worked with him and made sure he would be comfortable when he came home …

Animal Health helped us in a time of due or die literally. And then came in after normal business hours due to complications. We highly recommend and appreciate everyone at Animal Health! Top notch care, great prices and willing to help any way possible.

Followed my DVM from a previous location. He is always attentive, listening to any concerns I may have. Offers all options and alternatives. Relatively new to the Staff here, but they have always been polite, professional and helpful.

Our cat Maximilian had to have surgery. Despite not being able to go inside the place due to covid, the staff was very thorough and helpful on the phone. They answered our questions, were knowledgeable and caring.

10 stars for Animal Health Services ???? The very best pet clinic I have ever experienced in cowlitz county & portland Or. My cat was given immediate emergency treatment and surgery as a new patient. They saved his life. Highly recommend to anyone who loves their pet to contact them for the royal treatment. Every staff member including the vets are sincerely compassionate & loving. And they have boarding services too ????????????

We loveive Safe Haven Animal Hospital.

1st time going here today. I needed to get my dog in for an emergency appointment, they got me in same day, for that I am very thankful as the Rainier vet close to me would not... They were very kind, and informative. When we arrived, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and we were in-and-out. My big ol' girl came out, butt wiggles and all, ready to mend.

Friendly staff. Respectful of time. Since Willow was there for vaccine I appreciate how efficient you were.

You make an appointment and sit and wait for 30-45 minutes for a shot. This last time was the last straw for us. Waited 30 minutes and cars that pulled in after us were helped before us. We left and nobody ever called to ask us where we went. Looking for another vet.

We use Animal Health Services because of the caring excellent services you show our pets. It’s obvious that you love them as much as we do..!! You love your jobs and it shows. Thank you for taking such good care of our dogs.

Dr. Thomas saved our St.’s life after a misdiagnosis and wrong meds prescribed. The staff is so friendly and professional. I would recommend them to anyone !!

I love this place! Our dog is very big and hates being inspected. These guys handled him skillfully and lovingly. We felt we were in the best hands possible here. There were no surprises or superfluous charges with the bill. And, importantly, we felt listened to and treated with respect. Visiting Animal Health Services was, by far, the best veterinarian experience I have ever had.

Awesome staff! They are great with my fur babies. Update: I'm thinking I probably should have taken them to Astoria like everyone was telling me. One staff person says one thing, another person says another thing. They don't make notes in your account so things don't get done and then they look at you like it's your fault. And then want to get snippy when you get upset because someone told you something the other day and now you're being told something completely different the next day. The doctor's super nice and some of the staff are polite. But I think I'll try going to Astoria.

We had an emergency with our 5 month old puppy, and of course, it happened on a Sunday when our regular vet was closed. These guys were open, and able to squeeze us in on short notice. Our poor pup had eaten 5’ of string, and needed surgery asap. The doctor there was fantastic in explaining the surgery, precautions, etc, and preformed the surgery on his lunch break! Saved our dogs life and will forever be grateful that they were there for us. The animal hospitals are a mess right now, and ask people to wait 12 hours in the parking lot before they will even let you in the door. So to have this kind of service from this vet, truly a hero!!

First appointment for our Sulcata Tortoise and we absolutely were happy with our experience.

I'd looked exhaustively for a good vet in the Cowlitz County area and thought one didn't exist. Then I met Dr. Tom at Animal Health Services. I challenge you to find a more compassionate, helpful, caring, skilled veterinarian....not just in Cowlitz County, but in all of the U.S.!

Lower cost, but great care. The only place I take my pets

Been going to this vet for years. They have always treated me well. Although this time I wasn't sure if thy were going to give my puppy back or just keep him. They seemed to enjoy him a lot.

I have never trusted another team like theirs. We had almost 3 emergencies in one month! the staff team is so kind and friendly but also very knowledgeable. I have run into many issues with the care needs for my animals but this clinic really cares for your animals as you would.

They have written my cat's prescription wrong 3 times. Then threaten to call the police on me when I expected them to correct it. Also showed zero compassion or concern when my other cat passed away. Watch what they say about your pet. Make sure you have the correct records.

Poor service. They leave you waiting forever with no explanations.
