Annotto Bay Veterinary Clinic Issaquah, Washington

I took my sweet Nora here yesterday for a routine checkup and update on vaccines. I have always loved how sweet Dr. Allen was with my pets and have always been happy with their care. Dr. Allen is on maternity leave and so Nora saw her relief veterinarian, Dr. Powell. Nora had an unusual reaction to one of the vaccines and they acted quickly when I brought her back right away to be checked out again. They gave her oxygen support, antihistamines, and anti-nausea medications and David Allen even went to an emergency vet to pick up steroids that Nora needed that weren’t kept in house. The doctor and David past close to keep an eye on Nora. Throughout the whole process James was very diligent about keeping me up to date on what was happening with my sweet baby. Even as he and other staff members were leaving after their shift, he stopped to assure me that Nora was still in good hands with Dr. Powell and Mr. Allen. After all was said and done, Nora was herself when we finally got home and I couldn’t be happier with the above and beyond care she received. They called multiple times after we got home to be sure she was still okay, even the following day when they were closed. As a former veterinary assistant for bird and exotic pets, I more than understand how difficult their job is. I am blown away by the care she received yesterday and at this point I can’t imagine bringing my Nora to any other clinic. I am forever thankful for this amazing staff!!

Even though they weren't able to fit us into their schedule, they spent the time on the phone with us to find several referrals who could get us a same day referral. What a lovely team.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would do it. We took our puppy to them with a suspected ear infection. They did a basic examination there and really confirmed that he had an ear infection and gave us drops to treat it with and told us to put the drops on for 1 week and after 2 weeks to do an appoint to check if the infection has healed. Two weeks later we did an introduction and came for the check. We did a thorough examination again, although we did not need one, and we explicitly said that we had come to check for the infection. The doctor came out after the examination and explained that the infection is not the most disturbing problem for now, but an urgent operation on the nose is necessary, due to possible breathing problems due to the puppy's breed. Well, I would like to know why nothing was mentioned after the first examination of the puppy, whether his breed has changed in the past 2 weeks. I have no words to describe my disappointment. ????

Dr. Allen and her team are what makes this world a better place - especially for our pets. They're all so kind, compassionate, and absolutely love your fur babies so much while in their care. I cannot tell you how much I *love* this clinic and how incredibly well they've treated my kitties, and us as pet owners. Incredibly thankful to Annotto Bay for the level of service they provide!

I enjoyed going to Annotto Bay when I first moved into the area. Over the years, the service has really disappointed me. When my dog hurt his back, I called and was told it would be a month until I could get an appointment and to call the E-Vet. What is the point of having a vet if they just tell me to go to the E-Vet during regular business hours?

So this was my 5th vet in 7 years! Umm I don’t know how to get across how absolutely amazing this place is! Dr. Allen is not only the best vet I have ever seen but one of the best people I have ever met. She has cared for my 7 and 1/2 year old German Shepard for a few months and nahla ( my dog), is in rough shape but Dr. Allen has not only treated nahla she has cared for her nahla isn’t afraid to go there she is excited cause of how well she is treated. Dr. Allen 100% goes the extra mile. she treats the animals like they are her own. I will never ever take my animals anywhere else I am truely blessed to have such a great vet.

I am beyond grateful to Dr. Allen and her assistant for their compassion in helping my senior boy Odie go to heaven. The doctor fit me into her full schedule and was so kind with her treatment of him and me. He passed quietly and though my heart is very heavy, I know deep down it was the right thing for him and we were blessed to find her.

We really wanted to love this place. My small dog ( 25 pounds ) gets extremely scared when it comes to nail trims. When I got to know that they do nail trims outside and I get to hold my dog while a nail trim was great I was all for it. Fast forward, while they were really cool and nice, this is the result of one of the nails that was cut. My dog yelped while the back nails were getting cut, and I stopped the service right then and there. Because all the nails weren’t trimmed, I was charged accordingly which was nice, but I’d have rather paid more and have my dog not hurt. The place has amazing reviews, I’m not sure how they are with everything else but Hazel definitely ended up hurt.

Fast, friendly, and helpful. Finding a good vet is like finding a good mechanic; it's great to go to a vet and not feel like they're taking advantage of you by offering needless goods or services

It's hard to get an appointment. They're not great about answering the phone. I don't always call you back. When you're there, the care is usually great. We have had them forget a dew claw more than once during a nail trim. It's the little things that are keeping them from being great.

The best vet in the region. Dr. Allen and her staff are amazing. We have gone to several different vets for my dog's scratching, allergy and ear problems and none of them did anything to help. There were always more tests and try this and try that. After thousands of dollars later - our pup was not even better. Then comes the angel that is Dr. Allen, she was so gentle and caring with our pup and knew exactly what he needed. Since going to Annotto Bay our dog has been his healthiest and happiest by far. I wish they could see humans there too.

Very friendly staff, decent hours, very nice little facility. They were very friendly with our dogs, the vet seeing one of our dogs even sat on the floor with him (he hates being up on the metal table and is very anxious). Good location too in my opinion, but it may be a bit hard to see so there's a sign on the sidewalk pointing out where it is.

Dr. Allen is truly incredible with my pup. I have brought my dog here from puyallup after we moved and today she was booked but made time for me to bring in a rescue pup and have her checked out and to receive first round shots before taking her home. Always remembers the dogs names as well as ours and believe it or not my dog loves coming here and is always excited to see her. She doesn’t run up the bill and gives good breed specific advice on foods, care, training and treatment. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended by my family and by far the best vet I’ve ever used.

I simply can't say enough about the personal attention and care delivered to my beloved pups. The office is so warm & inviting (No harsh white walls & linoleum floors). Support staff is amazing as well! You really feel like part of a family once you step inside the door. No comparison: this is how you've always pictured veterinary care should feel, for you and your pet. THIS. IS. IT.
