Dr. Chris is the best vet we have ever gone to. He is so completely honest and compassionate and presented all the options for our dear 12 yr Rottweiler mix, Rocky, in a completely non-judgmental way leaving it up to us to decide which course of action to take. He really listens to your heart. He is a feeling doctor for sure. You will love him and everyone there!

Dr. Chris and his staff have always taken great care of our pets! This last time was no exception. I called to see about an available appointment for my sick kitty. I was told there were no available appointments that same day, but she would talk to the doctor to see when we could be seen. I received a call back and was told that our cat could be seen that same day for a drop off appointment. Max is feeling much better! I'm so grateful! ????

I love going there to the coastal off Hogan in Gresham Oregon. They almost always have what I'm looking for and then some.

They were very nice, were extremely happy with the service, bet and staff.

I can not express how thankful I am for Dr.Chris. I was leaving out of town and needed to get a health certificate and proof of rabies vaccine for my kitty, so that she can fly with me. When I called there was originally no appointments available. After expressing how urgent the situation was (I was leaving for the airport in 2 hours), Dr. Chris was so kind and fit me into the schedule to ensure I got what I needed for my kitty to fly with me. He made a really stressful situation, a relaxed one. And I can not thank him enough. I Highly recommend taking your furry babies here ❤️ Here’s a pic of my baby at the airport ????

Our cat was in crisis, not eating, two days before Christmas. Dr. Chris responded immediately with all the attention our cat needed. We're very grateful for his prompt, professional, and courteous support. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Chris is one of the most caring and awesome people you would ever want to meet and take your Dog too. He took wonderful care of my Dog for 15 yrs. he treats your animal like it's his own and you'll never find a more dedicated Vet. I love him and you will also.

They were organized, friendly, and thorough. I felt like they took my cat's health seriously and were helpful in offering options.

We just had our first visit on Friday with Dr. Hanna. They were running a few minutes behind but the vet tech came out to the lobby to let me know. I have never had that happen in all my years of different clinics. Once in a room, the vet tech went over the basic info so she could pass it on to the veterinarian. She then took my furbaby to get weighed. When the door opened again, it was Dr. Hanna with her in her arms and she said "I am holding her for comfort but I haven't done her exam yet". I thought that was the sweetest thing!! You could tell she really cares for animals. At the end of the visit a joint supplement was recommended for her knee ( she is 10) and the appointment wrapped up. At the check-out counter I was paying for the visit and a different vet tech came out to say she had just been told about my dogs sensitivities so to be sure to keep an eye on her after the new supplement. Those little extra things really made me feel confident that I made the right choice to switch clinics. Thank you Gresham Animal Hospital for your level of care! It has been a long time since I have experienced that!

Staff and Dr Powers were very attentive to our "daughter" Fiona. We appreciate the care given to our little girl.

We know we've given Dr. Chris some challenges over the years with several of our rescue dogs and he's always gone the extra mile, and his staff is a very compassionate and dedicated group of people who we very much appreciate. Today was a fairly simple visit for our 1 yr old Aussiedoodle, Macy Grey for vaccines....Dr. Chris's staff made her feel very comfortable. Great job Gresham Animal Hospital!

Amazing! We were super nervous (our puppy had issues that required her spay) about surgery. She's a big dog(very friendly), and there can always be complications. Dr Kohler did a fantastic job, and the rest of the staff was kind and patient with us for calling every time we thought something was amiss. Thanks! You gave her 6 more years than she would have had, and we promise to make them the best!

Thank you Dr. Hanaa and all the staff for helping us to feel comfortable given that we brought an anxious at baseline chihuahua. I could tell the exams were thorough and the compassion for our puppies made us feel like we brought our dogs to a safe space.

I appreciated the text messages I received before and after our appointment and that our appointment was on time, the facility was clean, the staff were all very nice and welcoming to me and my pet. My pets new doctor was caring and attentive to all my concerns. I felt trusted about the health history of my pet and there was no push for unnecessary tests or costs. I was so happy with my bill. WAY LOWER than I had anticipated for such a professional veterinary clinic. We are so happy to have been recommended Gresham Animal Hospital!

Professional, efficient and knowledgeable staff who seem to love their work. The building and exam room were clean and CoVid precautions were clearly defined. Dr. Chris is amazing and goes into detail to explain the exams and the treatment plan. I was impressed by what a calming effect he had on my dog, Luna. She picked up on his positive energy and was at ease with the exams. I would strongly recommend this practice.

I have used Dr. Chris Holenstein at Gresham Animal Hospital, twice now, for reproductive services. I can not say enough positive things about the clinic, the staff, the care, everything was exceptional. I am an advocate for the best care for my large breed dogs, as you will find. Irish Wolfhounds are not a common breed and are often and exception to the rule. I was worried about many things, but Dr. Chris was confident, knowledgeable, and assuring. I could not have asked for a better outcome from my experience with Dr. Chris and Gresham Animal Hospital. From the Receptionist, Vet Techs, and Dr. Chris, everyone was amazing. Thank you! Robert, a Vet Tech, worked on a puppy for several hours to revive her. Terrific care and skill, as if my hounds were their hounds. I highly recommend them to anyone, looking for veterinary care or reproductive veterinary care.

Always the best of care at Gresham Animal Hospital. From the counter staff to the techs to the vets, the service is excellent. You can tell Dr. Chris is a very busy guy, yet he cares enough to take the time to make sure our pets are comfortable with him and to listen attentively to us about their issues and our concerns. He asks great questions and gives clear and helpful answers. His treatment approach is conservative and starts with the minimum effective treatment, only escalating if/as necessary. I never feel as if we’re being upsold. We came to this practice as new clients with a seriously injured dog who had been treated by an out of state emergency vet and needed follow up care. So grateful to have found Gresham Animal Hospital and Dr. Chris!

We keep going because they are close by, nice in person, and the prices are fine. They don't try to push treatment on us that we don't need. But until their phone communication gets better, all they'll get from me is about 3.5 stars.

Gresham Animal Hospital is the best! My family has been using them for over 20 years and adore both Dr. Powers and Dr.Chris. Everyone that works at the clinic truly love animals and it shows.

Dr. Chris and the whole team at Gresham Animal Hospital are incredibly caring truly have the best interest of our pets at heart. I know that I can trust them 100% with each of my animals and that is so valuable! I can't recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Chris was great! I did not have an appointment and I needed to get my dog into a vet asap. They were able to see my dog within in 2 days of calling. When he called to let me know what he recommended he went over several options and together we picked the right one. I highly recommend both Dr. Chris and Dr. Powers.

They're great with our cat and Rascal liked the vet. He was well taken care of.

I called in on Wednesday around 7:30 am when I noticed my cat’s eye was swollen. From the moment I called, Crystal showed genuine concern and worked with the doctors to squeeze my cat in to be seen. I was able to drop him off by 8:30, and by 8:40 I already had a call back from Dr. Chris with an action plan and the 2nd follow up call by 9 am with a diagnosis and treatment plan! From the nice receptionist, follow up calls, making time to see my cat, 2 phone calls from the doctor himself and every other staff member, I felt beyond blessed to have this team take care of my fur baby! I will always return to Gresham Animal Hospital! Thank you!
