Current client. Unable to contact them to make appointment and get them to respond when we are there for the appointment. Phones transfer to fax line. Doors are locked. Pounding on the door works Update December 2021: Nicely adapted to current restrictive environment. Excellent quality of service and caring staff. Very satisfied with their performance

What an amazing pet clinic. I moved back to the Portland area (Forest Grove) a little over a year ago and was in need of a good vet to take my cats to. My boyfriend’s mom recommended Kindness and told me how amazing Dr. Cortiga is (sorry if I misspelled that). She was not kidding. I have lived in Honolulu, Banks, Albany, Hillsboro, Portland, and Beaverton while having cat(s) and hands down this is the best pet clinic I have ever been to (The Animal Clinic of Honolulu is tied with Kindness and I was so scared to leave them when moving back to Oregon because my prior experiences with vets in Oregon was not the greatest). Literally the kindness staff is so loving to my babies, despite my maincoon’s bratty personality some days and my skittish calico crying for mommy anytime I close the door let alone let a vet tech take care of her. When my BF and I got a puppy, they took such good care of him. He loves the vet (even in his teenage troublesome years). I simply have to say “Bernhard, want to go see your friends at the vet?” and he does twirls of happiness and jumps for joy when we pull into the parking lot (which us puppy parents know that the fur babies only do that when they are very excited about something). Their prices are very reasonable, they are upfront about the costs of things before preforming any services and tell you what the advise you do if you are trying to stick within a budget. Finally, due to COVID, they have enacted safety measures (which I am 100% in support of) and come out to your car to get your fur baby and bring them back to you. They are honest about their behavior (which lets be honest my Maincoon is kinda rude and when they said he swiped at the them, I knew it was 100% honest, that’s LoLo) and they tell you how your fur baby behaved while they were in (the cats and dog get extra treats when they get home if they behave… don’t worry Dr. Cortiga, I am giving the cats lower calorie treats, they are fat and yes I am working to get that weight down). Overall, if you are looking for the perfect vet, Kindness is it. Five stars is an understatement to the level of devotion and love they have for animals. Personally, I will never go to another vet unless I leave the area. We love you guys and so do our fur babies (even LoLo, the rude, bratty Maincoon).

I had tried many different vets, But had not been able to pick the right one. We tried kindness and were thrilled with the hands on care, comma the vets came out and talked to you about good things and bad things. They Check in to verify if they weren't sure and I was really thrilled with how they handled my nervous dog they gave him a little extra love and care I would absolutely recommend this clinic

We have received the best care and compassion for our furry friends at this clinic from the doctors and their staff. We feel the service is excellent and the pricing is very fair. We highly recommend bringing your pets here.

They're so good with our pup with massive anxiety. They recognize when it's too much and adjust. They truly have you and your furry family at heart. Farther than many clinics around us but worth going out to FG.

The care for our cat seemed fine and we have no concerns there. We took our cat in for an exam and nail clipping. My wife described being pressured to pay for multiple vaccinations, including a rabies vaccination for an indoor house cat. We have already provided so many vaccinations to our cat and we recently took her to get spayed at a humane society ($100s of dollars less expensive, FYI) and they said she was fine on her vaccinations and didn’t need what was being recommended at Kindness. Our cat is less than two years old and she has had at least four previous visits in this time. Despite that, my wife was made to feel like we were neglectful cat owners for the amount of time that has lapsed since our last visit. We paid to have our cat’s nails trimmed but were lectured that it’s easy to do at home. We have the tools and have attempted it many times at home...and it is the opposite of easy. Why else would we bring her in and pay to do it? We were told to use a towel wrap technique, and that we need to watch YouTube videos on how to do it. Perhaps asking what we have tried before going into school teacher mode would be more effective. Then a dialogue could have ensued and allowed my wife to feel comfortable explaining how difficult our experiences have been, how we have used a towel technique, and also have looked on YouTube for tips. After all this, my wife was pressured into spending over an extra over $100 for flea and tick medicine. That is a HUGE upcharge compared to ALL the products available outside of their clinic. It appears we don’t have a good fit when it comes how we intend to care for our cat. We will be finding a better fit moving forward.

Excellent care for my pack of dogs over the years. Each of my dogs had a bond with the techs and the vets.......part of the family circle.

We have been taking our pets to Kindness for 6 years and couldn’t be happier! Every staff member is friendly and courteous and make our 2 dogs feel at home. Our greyhound, Lucy, cannot wait to get inside and say hi to all her friends. We have seen Dr. Kortyka and Dr. Thursam many times, and neither have hesitated to call specialists to discuss unusual issues so that we always receive a thorough explanation of the options available to us. We love the staff here and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

They work with my extra anxious dog and make it possible to get his appointments done. (Although we haven't tried with new covid rules)

Great, friendly service, I really like these guys! First went there when we found out a cat we took in was pregnant, and got good advice on what to do with the kittens one they were born. They even called us to check up on them a few days later. Have since been back to get momma and the kittens thier shots and to get fixed, it's always been a good experience.

We bought a puppy nearby and needed to get it checked out within 48 hours per the contract. It was already Friday, so we’d miss the window if we drove home first. They were so good to us and our new puppy! Doctor alleviated all my fears, gave me great tips, and thanked me for bringing him a puppy to examine! The price was very affordable, too. Absolutely fabulous experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this clinic, the staff, and the most of all the vets. They treat us like we are family and genuinely care about our pets. They will be my go to clinic for my current and all my future pets.
