Always an awesome experience here. The staff is wonderful and they have always taken the best care of our pets. If you ever have to go through euthenizing your sick babies this is also the best place for it. They did the best a vet could to make it as special and less painful as possible. We feel lucky to have found such an amazing place.

My dog fell violently ill all of the sudden and her normal vet couldn't get her in to be seen until the next day. However i knew my dog wouldn't make it that long. I called Chuckanut Valley Veterinarian Clinic and they immediately told me to bring her in. Because of them, my dog is alive! She had to have emergency surgery and it was performed right then. Thank you for being so caring and for saving my dogs life and giving us more time with her. You are all amazing!

After over a year of not being able to find a quality vet with availability locally, we finally reached out to Chuckanut Valley Veterinarian Clinic. I’m SO glad we did- they got us in quickly, were extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous, and took excellent care of my dog. If your pet needs a fear-free environment with patient and kind staff members, this is the place to go. Additionally, all care instructions were very clear, and the pricing is completely reasonable. We’ll continue going here for all of our animals’ care needs in the future. Thank you, Chuckanut Valley Vet Clinic, for all that you do! <3

Kennel Cough – BEWARE! October 2021 Boarded my dogs here for a few days and they both caught Kennel Cough. Contacted them to discuss, and was told that “they knew there was Kennel Cough going around their facility”. The vet clinic offered to cover the cost of ONE of my dogs to see their vet; but we were responsible for purchasing medication. $240 vet bill. How convenient of them to NOT verbally warn anyone that they have a known issue of Kennel Cough, and then go to their vet clinic and pay for an office visit and medication? I asked to have the Veterinarian contact me directly to discuss – they never called back. The vet clinic also admitted that they disbursed/sold too much medication to us, which of course racked up that vet bill. Is this inept office in the business to make a profit over a pet’s health? I'd give 0 starts if it was an option.

Our first time here with our new pup and the service was excellent from the start at counter, to waiting area being so clean and welcoming. Pup was very comfortable throughout and the Vet Tech was wonderful with greeting pup, getting down on knees for her at meeting and making her feel so "happy" is best way to say it. Then the Tech initial intake and exam followed by Vet exam was great. Both were on floor with pup vice putting her on table and put her at ease. Great technique for her shots and she had no reaction to the jab as was totally distracted by the tech, in a good way. Vet and Tech asked us questions and then answered out questions about exposure to other dogs, pet foods best for our breed (F1bb Goldendoodle) and other grooming questions. Tech inquired wiht the grooming dept to ensure she gave us best info on type brush to use, etc. Billing was efficient on way out and they will help us with our Trupanion pet insurance process. Sent us home with dewormer pill and set up for next visit was quick and easy.

I've taken my newly adopted kitty here 3 times now and I have been treated like family. The vet and assistants explain everything so that I understand exactly what is going on and the importance of any vaccines or procedures. It has been a wonderful experience each time I've taken our kitty there and will continue to do so

The staff that handle my animals are wonderful and always so caring, I'm not exactly the best at bringing them in when I should and as soon as I should but they always do their best, however I would say that the front desk is not very friendly at all

We have been bringing out animals to Chuckanut Valley Vet for about 7 years now. The vets have always worked well and clearly care about the animals. This was the most evident after we had about a week long battle with one of our young dogs. They took such good care of her, and helped us find the diagnosis to get her eating again, after 6 days. She's now back to her old self and playing with the other two dogs. Cannot thank everyone there enough!

After calling every vet in Whatcom County I was referred here. I have a rabbit who was gravely ill. They had me bring her in right away and saved her life. CVVC is the best.

From the facility to the medical teams serving clients, this clinic just continues to impress me. Matt Van Winkle is my dogs doctor and I trust him implicitly. Since being referred to him as a doctor who would be a good fit for my reactive dog, we've had yearly teeth cleanings and treatment for horrific seasonal allergies and inter-digital cysts. Historically, I dreaded even the thought of visiting the veterinary clinic, but with Dr. Matt's understanding of reactivity and his approach to wellness with a dog like mine, I've regained my confidence and our visits are pretty-dang easy. I know that I can trust him to do the right thing every time, and the technicians that work with him are also practiced in reactivity and give my dog the space she needs. The quality of care we receive at CVVC consistently exceeds my expectations from their non-judgmental and humane approach as well as their knowledge, ability and professionalism. Thank you Dr. Matt and Team for all you do for my Rosie-girl!

Boarded our dogs here twice. The first time our female was given medication to calm her down as she was very anxious, but she came back lactating, they told us she probably had a false pregnancy and there was nothing else to do and the medication couldn’t have caused it. Well a year later we boarded our dogs here again. This time our female came back lactating again, they claimed none of the medication they “had” to give her for her anxiety caused it and offered no explanation as to why it happened nor did they show any concern or care as to it happening - but the same medications were prescribed both times and the only time she has ever lactated has been immediately after being boarded here. And this time in addition to this, both of our dogs are extremely filthy, our female has wounds and sores all over her paws, and both look like they weren’t fed the entire 9 days they were boarded. Needless to say we will never be boarding our dogs here again nor would we recommend anyone board their dogs here.

I found CVVC a year ago as a new resident to Mount Vernon. Other vets in the area just didn't seem to care. What a awesome group, from the vets to the groomers ( love them ) and the other staff, they treat you like they care. THEY DO!

My family has been bringing our pets for over 20 years. Even though now I live in Seattle, I still make the trip up here. The folks working here are so sweet and thoughtful and I've never once had an issue with the Vet here.
