Family owned and operated and plays an essential role in the Burien neighborhood serving it's neighbors, caring for it's animals and local businesses, and does a great job in helping to find foster's and match new adopting families and proper placement for pets looking for they're new forever home! They also been very helpful to me and my emotional support animals as well! They're very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions that you may have and check out their website too!

We just adopted a cat from this place. The people who assisted us were friendly and helpful, and put us in touch with the newest member of our family! ❤️

This shelter is small but it's full of love. The keepers clearly care about their charges. If I had anything negative to say it would only be that the building is a bit echoy but there's only so much they can do about that. If you see someone on the website just give the staff a call and you'll hear all about them.

Great rescue to support! I adopted my first Chihuahua from them in 2013 and I have fallen in love with the breed! For being a small rescue, they help a lot of dogs and cats! The folks there are awesome. You can tell they care about the animals in their custody. I've moved away from the area but I still make it a point to donate pet food, dog clothes and even items for their auctions/ sales because without them, I wouldn't have found my fur babies!

Monique really puts in 100% for all these animals they come across.

THIS is an amazing service they provide their community! And you can tell they're GREAT with the animals because every animal was SO SWEET! Here's my GREAT adoption, I LOVE HER!

The people there are very friendly and take amazing care of the animals. We got our dog here (we have had him 2 years now!) and he was well taken care of and loved by the workers there.

Made an appointment on 3/19 to meet a cat up for adoption on 3/22. Apparently between my call and my appointment he was adopted and they didn't bother to tell me. Only thing I was told at the door was "oh, sorry". Horrible feeling getting ready to bring an animal to bring home and then find out that you won't be and couldn't be bothered to be told in advance. I hope this isn't typical of them but I will be searching everywhere but here for adoption.

My blind and deaf 14 year old Havanese escaped from my yard on 12th and 129th and was found on 1st and 128th and some wonderful citizen picked her up I brought her to cares and they took great care of her. I picked her up the next day and she was in great shape happy to see me a little Bill wildered do to her I think doggy dementia. They were so kind when I was picking her up I had her microchipped and paid her bail and brought her home. I'm eternally grateful for these people she is a well-loved old lady. Mitra

Great place to get a lovable pet

I don't know what to give this place honestly, i kept calling cause a neighbors pit bull kept getting out, didn't seem like they took it seriously. The dog kept trying to get my dog through the fence, i called the police and they said to call c.a.r.e.s.... dog got out again not to long ago, i didn't call, decided if it tries to get in my gate/attacks my dog... I'll take CARE of it myself.

Shelter was interesting. Didnt get much help from the staff. They kinda just said to go wherever. Didnt talk to me at all really about the animals. 3 stars for the cute cats and dogs though.

Main woman here Monique has a horrible attitude problem. She’s dismissive and rude, and doesn’t care at all about the animals in her care. Her attitude turns away plenty of potential adopters and she makes no effort to socialize the cats or have her staff do so. Cats stay there for months on end with little to no care other than basic food and water.

The people who work and volunteers really care about the animals. They do a good job.

Very friendly staff. They give you the honest truth to help you find the right addition for your family!

For people who are focused on the care of animals, they treat people pretty well, too.

I really love that place.I adoped an older dog there. Her name was Luna. She was the best dog in the world. She was with me a short time and passed peacefully in her sleep.She was my best friend. She went to work with me everyday.and everybody loved her. I miss her so much.Her little stub tail wagging always made me smile.She is at Rainbow Bridge and playing with my other baby's.

People care. Small outfit with a bunch of needs. CHECKOUT their list online. Volunteers are great for this small organization.

Best staff EVER! An amazing cast of workers and volunteers that are the kindest, most loving purple you'll ever meet. They have gone above and beyond to help me take care of my baby boy, and I am eternally in their debt. From their manager, Monique to Steph.... to the senior animal control officer and including all the staff at Paws, Dominique and all of them....I'm blessed to know these amazing people and Stitch loves them ALL!!!

An invaluable asset to the Burien community! I've called many times to report stray animals . They are always responsive. Great staff!

The girls in the office immediately turned cold shoulder towards my wife and I when the first dog they brought out didn't make a connection with us and we said now let's look at another. Pretty unprofessional actually.

You can take a lonely dog for a walk and not have any of the hassle of ownership.

We adopted a Chihuahua, she is our little angel.
