This is a bit of a long review, but worth the read. I have come here since I was 7 so I decided to continue to bring my pets here as I grew up.... 2 months ago my 15 year old girl died of stage 4 lung cancer that was diagnosed as bronchitis by Dr. Yikes... on the evening she passed I called their "aftercare hours" because she could not breathe and all ER vets were full... I was told to bring her in at 8 a.m. because there is "nothing" he can do. She passed suffucating to death 40 minutes later ( vca was amazing and did their BEST to make sure she was pain free and passed peacefully with her family) AlderTrail even called the next morning.. " Would you like to bring her remains in?" No... after the news and the night we had. We didn't want to go there. Flash forward to last week.. We rescued a new girl! My other doggo was lonely... I took her in for a booster shot and to ask if it was normal that she was still in heat. The vet tech returned after SPEAKING with Dr.Yikes and says she needs emergency surgery, but they aren't able to do it because they are packed. I called my mother who quickly called them asking what is going on and they said the same. Even added " he doesn't not have to see her to diagnose her." I was a bit shocked.. he didn't run tests, ultrasound or even LOOK at her. I ran her to AETC in Poulsbo where we stayed for 6 hours.. they ran EVERY SINGLE TEST. Turns out my dog is just fine!!! $700 bill... the money and time is not an issue, but the lies today were. My mother who is furious called and asked Why they would say something like that without proper diagnoses... silent... " it was a recommendation". If you are going to tell someone their animal need IMMEDIATE ATTENTION to then turn around and say it was a suggestion? I believe this is not a place to bring your furr babies... Please go somewhere else.

Love this place. I’m a first time kitten owner and they made her first vet experience great. Crouton was greeted by the front desk ladies (they are so nice). Dr. Schulte took great care of her and made sure she had everything she needed, as well as answering my questions. I highly recommend!

Dr.Yeik has always taken great care of my 15 year old pom. However, my only complaint is the reception staff. They have always spoken in a condescending tone, almost as if they're irritated as well. I arrived to pick up a prescription and they processed their end of day 40 minutes before closing. Tried paying with cash and they sort of raised their voice at me when I asked why I couldn't use that method. Was told to come back tomorrow. If they had better customer service I wouldnt have taken away a star but something seriously needs to change up front.

Idk why other people are hating on Dr. Yeik and the staff. I visited with my dog for blood in urine, they got me in quickly and were straight to the point with what they saw. 10/10 highly recommend

I have never had an issue and have recommended many folks to take their pets here. They have been very friendly and straight forward with their diagnosis, which I appreciate. Also, compared to other vets in the area, I find that they are very reasonably priced.

Should probably change your hours on FB. It states you are open till 6 today but you stated on the phone you close at 1:00. Needed to bring our puppy in for coughing blood but you couldn't get her in today because you close at 1:00. We have been driving over from Leavenworth for the last 6 years because we love Dr. Yeik but I think it is time to find another vet for our 4 fur babies. The current office staff is not very helpful or polite. We have taken all of our animals there for the last 17 years. Today was the last straw.

Alder Trail Animal Hospital is BY FAR the best vet we have ever been to. We are welcomed in every time, with smiles and hellos. We’ve taken both of our dogs here, and the dogs love the visits to the vet! The vet techs are AMAZING! The entire experience is great when we have an appointment.

Alder trail veterinary hospital sucks so bad. They irritated me BIG time!! We adopted a puppy about a month ago and the prior owner took him here 5 days before we adopted him, so he'd have an exam and shots before we brought him home. I went there to get my pup's last booster shot, since that's the vet who did his exam and shots a month ago. I get there just to find out that I have to pay for an exam before he can get his shot. Since I'm his new owner, they have to do an exam under me. They said I don't know what went on during his exam and I was like yea I do. I have the paperwork. So I was like, I'm not paying for an exam when y'all just did one on him. I said I understand things can get hectic with covid, but you should really tell ppl that on the phone! DO NOT GO HERE!! MONEY HUNGRY VET!!

Alder Trail animal hospital is scary! Dr. Yeik is 100% off his rocker. He is straight up abusive. Read all the other reviews out there. I am shocked this place is still in business. He is incredibly aggressive and unprofessional, telling us to change our dogs entire medical plan just so he can make my more money. All the while holding his medication that he has been on for years ( because of very specific medical issues) hostage. We have never had a vet who was so interested in the dollar signs while outright risking our dogs wellbeing. We went here once because it was close to our house and being that we were new In Town we had no idea how bad it would actually be. Dr. Yeik was so rough with our dog in the apt it completely freaked us out. Our Bulldog loves everyone but wanted nothing to do with this man. Dr. Yeik doesn’t listen, talks over you and doesn’t care about the animal at all. Go meet with him you can tell in less than two minutes he is off. BEWARE!

Bad experience today. 20 years of going here and recommending it. I have decided to find another vet.

My dog has stranger anxiety, told the staff before the visit. Dr Yeik had me put him up on the table and proceeded to pin him down, scaring the life out of my dog. He told me afterwards that some dogs should not be allowed to live and never come back. As if! Staff on the other hand is great.

I took my dog who is very aggressive towards those he doesn't know to Alder Trail. They were great in handling him and also made us feel very comfortable. Thank you, I have found my vet.

this place is a blessing! i originally went to a vet in Poulsbo and they told me that my cat would need surgery on her mouth which would have cost me a lot of $$$ and my cat her teeth! i decided to get a second opinion.. one of my friends recommended Alder Trail so i decided to give them a shot! right from the beginning the vet already had an idea of what was wrong with her and wanted to do some testing before jumping to the conclusion of oral surgery. && GUESS WHAT the test came back positive and all it took was some medication to fix the bacteria she had in her mouth!!! this place saved me over a thousand dollars and my cat her teeth. i am forever thankful! i love the staff here!

All three of my cats are patients of Dr. Yeik and Dr. Nora. From the moment you walk into the clinic, you feel welcomed. The receptionists are very warm and professional. They love cooing over their patients, which is a bonus, in my book. Any veterinary receptionist that takes the time to love and talk to their animal patients is a stellar receptionist! And Alder Trail's receptionists are stellar! The vet techs are also equally stellar. You can tell they really care about their patients. My girls, Willow and Trouble, have always been well cared for by the staff at Alder Trail. My kitten, Calvin, is a special needs kitty (Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia), so he has been closely followed up on since day 5 of his life. Both Dr. Nora and Dr. Yeik have been cordial, professional, and concise, in regards to Calvin's care. They took great care to talk me through his diagnosis and what it means for him (he won't get better, but it won't get worse; he has no mental deficit, only a deficit in the way his brain processes his body/orientation in relation to his environment- in other words, he's a completely normal, completely un-coordinated ball of fluff that will always walk like a frat boy over the legal limit). I have no complaints at all, regarding his care. This past Monday, Calvin and his tail had an apparent disagreement with a door (one of my children closed the door on his tail). The door won. The bottom half of his tail was hanging limp, and he had some fur missing, so I thought it'd be best to take him in. I did so on Tuesday. Dr. Nora quashed my fears that it was an urgent amputation-worthy injury (spoiler: it wasn't). She prescribed an anti-inflammatory and said to make an appointment if his tail started to shrink, become cold, or emit a foul smell. Those anti-inflammatories worked almost immediately! Calvin is now actually lifting, and even slightly swishing, his tail, and his signature "curl" (he holds his tail in the way a husky does) is slowly returning!

This clinic is amazing! I rushed in when my cat was having issues. ONE HOUR BEFORE MY FINAL!! And these guys were on it! Before they had my file opened up we were in a room, getting him weighed. The doctor was in she asked when my final was and started assessing my cat. We talked while she got him taken care of and once he started looking better 4 assistants were putting his Carrier back together (he couldn't get out so we took the top off) while I was checking out! I made it to my final a few min late but it was ok. I called them later that day to speak about my cat and the vet asked how I did! She then spend the next 20-30 min talking with me about my cat and his situation. Overall it was such a relief that they were so on top of things and concerned about me and my time. Cat is doing great! And so are my grades!

We have 3 dogs and 1 has sevier allergies to food, fleas and seasonals changes. They have been so wonderful in recommending solutions to this problem that are not just medication. In order to help fix our dogs issue they gave us the right allergy medication and food changes we can do. Our dog is growing hair in places we didn't know he could because of the wonderful treatment and time the doctors put into the visits. This is a wonderful place to go that's very oriented in finding the right solution for your pet.

0 stars. If you’re thinking about going to this animal hospital DO NOT trust your dog with this incompetent vet. My puppy Millie has had a couple issues the past week one of them being that she fell and hit her head that the dr was clearly aware of since he asked the same question three different time. So what does the doctor do? He forces my dog to come near him while choking her as she’s squirming to get away and picks her up with one arm while trying to pull down this table from the wall. He drops my puppy HEAD FIRST on the ground and then proceeds to pick her up again as she’s still squirming away and pushes her down on the metal table that she can’t get a grasp on. He felt no remorse I didn’t even get a “sorry” and he didn’t care I was saying stop. He seems to be in his own world mumbling to himself not making eye contact or actually explaining what is wrong with my dog but still decided to prescribe her medicine for what he “thinks” is wrong and it “might” work. I paid 100$ to this place for my dog to have another head injury.

Will NEVER EVER go here again. The vet was extremely rude which seems to be the case with a lot of the negative reviews. He has no meaning of bed side manner. Brought our puppy in for a skin rash on her stomach that came up after we had used a new shampoo. The vet told us its probably fleas which she has none then said it might be mites but thats contagious so our other dog would have it too but yet doesnt. Then continued to tell us how our dog is going to have a lot of issues and will bring in a lot of money for the vet clinic and that she will die soon. Theres literally nothing else wrong with her besides the skin rash but shes going to die soon? Then he lectures us about how we should have gone and met her parents and siblings and enroll her in puppy classes. We basically paid for medicine we didnt need (flea medicine for a dog with no fleas), a lecture about how we suck as dog owners for not meeting my dogs family, my dog being a cash cow for thier clinic, and how she will be dying from a minor skin rash. Nothing about this vet is professional.

The entire staff at Alder Trail are fantastic. They took care of my dog Fred for 17 1/2 years. He went to puppy socialization class, then obedience school through one of their staff and had all treatment there. He loved them so much he would pull us through the doors to see them. They had to put him down after 17 plus years and it was very quick and humane, no pain, and they were respectful and caring of our needs.

I took my 6 month old puppy in she had a bad hot spot on her backside. The front office staff is very friendly. I go into the back and wait for the vet. She's a little skittish so the vet assistant goes to tell the vet. He comes in and seems a little irritated. Asks me her age and keeps interrupting me mid sentence. Tells me she's to young for allergies. Proceeds to ask me how my flea control is. As I'm trying to answer him tells me that obviously this is a flea issue because it wouldn't be anything else. Witch I'm trying to tell him she doesnt have fleas. Tells me he will do a skin scraping to prove to me it's not mites causing it and that it's not allergies. Its fleas. I put her on the table and he comes her whole body telling its staph caused by fleas. Mind you hes not finding any fleas, or flea poo. He then does the scraping and she starts growling. He gives her a shot. I put her on the ground and he leaves to check the scraping. He comes back still irritated. She starts growling at him. He starts clapping his hands and yelling at her. Tells me I need to get her under control. Dude you literally just scrapped her sore skin and she's skittish. She hasn't done this before. He proceeds to tell me she is going to be a trouble dog and I need to get her into every and all obedience classes that I can because she's going to be trouble. 1 shot, a skin scraping, and some anti biotics I paid well over 300 dollars. I left defeated and broke. He talked down to me and made me feel like an awful dog owner. I went there for help and left discouraged. Never again will I return.

NO STARS Long story short I got my Maxie boy from a man who abused him. He's the sweetest pup in the world but he's simply not good around other animals and has problems containing his energy WHICH I INFORMED THEM PRIOR TO HIS APPOINTMENT ABOUT... I took him into Alder trails vet for a checkup and to get his nails trimmed. Never have I had issues here UNTIL I brought in my pitbull boxer mix. Max was barking and The vet came in extremly mad and said he would never touch my dog and that no vet ever would. Then proceeded to cuss at me, tell me my dog has no hope and that if anything he belongs in a junk yard. NEVER have I met someone so extremely rude and judgemental towards pits in the veterinary field. After looking through reviews he simply hates pitbulls. My dog is my whole life and it breaks my heart that someone would treat such a loveable breed of dog like that . ☹
