Tails-A-Waggin' has been great so far. We have been using them since November and had some separation anxiety with one of our huskies. They were willing to work with her and have been incredibly professional. I would definitely recommend them as they are also one of the more affordable establishments in the area.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We made reservations in November on their terrible website for our dog in preparation for the holidays. Per the policy we called the next day to pay our deposit and were told by the "manager" that they did not have time to take the deposit. She did not let us know when she would be available or to bring in the deposit. Fast forward to Dec 2nd when we received an email requesting copies of our dog's vaccination records. No red flags at this point. Then today when we call to follow up, we are told that our appointment was not valid and they are booked by an extremely unprofessional manager. When I called to spoke to this person she was rude and dismissive. Keep stating the policy but would not answer my question as to why she did not coordinate our deposit payment when we made the appointment in November. Finally, she proceeded to hang up on me even though she over talked me the duration of the call. We will never use this place again and advise others to do the same. Their website is terrible and the customer service is worse.

Tails a wagging, has great prices. My dog is usually ok. The big issue is the unprofessionalism of the establishment. One, they apparently have an online system, which you can book, but not pay, due to not understanding how to add payment processes to their site. Their email mechanisms are completely flawed. The process is excruciating unpleasant. I made the reservation in November. I called to add a payment, the person on the phone was not available to take payment (a call goes to a cell phone, the person is not always in the office). I received a email 12/3 regarding immunization, when I called, the owner was very eradic, and combative. I let her know, that my business will no longer be there as I have to search for another place to board. Your system is horrible. I will recover, but your business is very unorganized. On top of that, the owner is very irate and agitated. I in calm voice notified her of this. She even was telling customers that walked in to confront their reservation of the same thing I called about. I will most likely never use this shotty service again. Not saying boarding and talking care of you dog is bad there, they are just bad at the business part. A note to the owner, check your attitude at home, we are customers paying for your business. It is not a good look for you.

As noted by many reviews on here, the manager is unprofessional. Her tone of voice and lack of respect should have been the sign to walk away. I didn’t read these reviews until after I decided to cancel our reservation, but I wish I had. I was repeatedly spoken down to in a rude and demeaning voice about bringing in an older dog. This occurred during the initial phone call, during an initial assessment appointment, and even went as far as her making a call 3 days before our trip to warn me that they might turn me away at drop-off based on another mobility test that they would perform. Note, I brought our dog in and paid for for an “assessment” a few weeks prior where she had a chance to see that our dogs’ mobility is still great. I told her that the constant harassing about my dogs age was very hurtful to which she replied that maybe I need to find somewhere else to care for my dog. The owner Gary was very nice and easy to deal with, as were the techs, but if the manager speaks with such discontent towards humans I have no confidence that my dog would be well cared for. In reading the reviews, it sounds like I dodged a bullet.

My dog hates it here ???? please don’t take your animals here if you care about them. I have a farm and I wouldn’t even bring my chickens here

We've used Tails-A-Waggin for over 10 years. Every time they show great care for our now 13 year old labradoodle. We use boarding 2 to 3 times per year for about 1 week at a time. I highly recommend them!

Are you looking for a cat or dog boarding facility? Locally owned and operated Tails-a-waggin’ Dog & Cat Inn is our go to in Bothel, WA and is 1.5 miles from I-405 North. We have kenneled our cat at Tails-a-waggin’ Dog & Cat Inn many times since we moved to Kirkland in late 2018. The staff, facilities, cleanliness, and our overall satisfaction has been an A+ superb. take a look at their cat kennels - newly remodeled- and love the inside/outside ones that they offer. Lots of space and opportunity for our kitty to have a resort -spa concept while we are at one too! The many dogs of all sizes are happy to return and welcome their two legged parents when I have been there for my drop off or pick-up and they are even open on Sundays! They have very nice groomers on staff and we were able to able to have a ‘kitty manicure’ (cats nails trimmed). Stop looking for a boarding kennel - you have found the best at Tails-a-waggin’ Dog & Cat Inn!

It saddens me to see all of the bad reviews for such a great place. I have been taking Dante`, our Akita there for a couple of years anytime we travel or have unexpected stays w/o him. I always hate dropping him off because I can tell that he won't miss me at all, lol. He gets so excited when he gets there, the staff just LOOoooovesss him and it's quite clear that he loves them back. The staff has always been very friendly, accommodating, and kind to us. Truly hate to see Tails... get such bad reviews as we had tried different boarders before we chose Tails... and we have not yet regretted our decision in trusting them with Dante`. I hope that you (reader) will have an open dialogue with Tails... to help them to improve in any areas where they may be failing, but to also encourage you to give them a chance to show you how awesome they are. Blessing to you all~

I was casually looking for a boarding place online this place isn’t far from me and prices were great, seemed like a cool place. I love reviews and decided to take a gander only to find this places has a serious attitude problem, which the owner will gladly response back explaining how the commenter is the one with the problem lol. Besides the customer service issue I see on SEVERAL different comments saying how neglected their animal were and that literally lost weight after an extended day there, but don’t worry the owner will response back to your 1 star reviews by explaining that 1 cups is 8oz and that they need properly measure out the food and are probably feeding their dog too much. Unbelievable the lack of accountability on their part. And those poor cats, I can’t even imagine how much worse it is for them. In reading the comments it seems like pets are placed for an extended stay when visiting leaving their pets for days without knows the conditions they are left in. My main point in reviewing is in hopes that owners don’t have to find out the hard way how not okay this place is... and I’m also hoping for a sassy response from the owner just to prove that they don’t take accountability and want to attack owners for the way the staff treats their babys. Thanks for reading.

In my 25 years of living and working in the Seattle area, boarding pets for multiple clients, TAW has by far provided the best service for the best price. The owner and her entire crew are very professional, courteous, and flexible to all our needs. Our pets always come home happy, well exercised, and looking pretty. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate what a pleasure it is to do business with this kennel.

I used to take my pitbull here occasionally when I needed doggy daycare or dog boarding. I also had them groom her during her longer stays so she would come home smelling nice. What really made it obvious to me that these people were taking good care of my pet is how excited she would get when the handler would come out to take her. She clearly adored him and it made me feel better about leaving her. When I would come to pick her up she would be excited to see me but not overly hyperactive or desperate to leave. This is a safe place to take your pets and the people who work here are animal lovers.

Lost a potential customer with the nasty and unprofessional responses to the dog & cat owners. You put blame on the owners for your treatment to their pets, it is repulsive to read. If this is how you respond and treat your customer then i wouldn’t be surprised on how you treat their pets. This establishment should be loving and caring in ALL situations ALL the time. If you have a problem with this comment then you have proved my point as you will not accept the truth of your bad service.

We are incredibly pleased with Tails-A-Waggin’! We have been using them for boarding for about 5 years now. I honestly don’t understand why they have such awful reviews. The staff obviously loves animals and are always super friendly and knowledgeable. They are even understanding of any special requests we have. We had a Siberian Husky who sadly has passed now, but he loved going. He was always so happy when he got to go to Tails-A-Waggin’ and happy when he got home. We also have a 13 year old Pomeranian that we take to them. She is always happy when she goes to them as well. She has gotten a little grumpy in her old age and doesn’t like interacting with other dogs so much anymore, but she loves human interaction so she requires quite a bit of human attention. They understand that, and they always offer to give her extra loving which is so comforting to us. Our pups have never been overly hungry or thirsty when we get them home which shows us that they were properly fed and given plenty of water during their stay. And the price is very reasonable. Overall, we are EXTREMELY satisfied with Tails-A-Waggin’ and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good place to board their fur babies.

Both of my dogs love coming here! They always come home super excited and sleep really well that night. I once had trouble scheduling as they couldn't find my pets records but they fixed the issue!

We boarded our three cats. Upon pick up we were told our cats were hissing and peeing all over. They had my son go to the back to help crate the cats for pick up. The employee said sometimes they have to man handle them to get them in a crate. She also told him the cats hated her. They had no water in the bowl, the food we sent all came back except one scoop of dry food and one can of wet food. The food sat untouched from Monday to Wednesday when I picked them up per staff! I was told they don’t give fresh food unless they eat the old food first! I was told next time to bring them a T-shirt or something for scent even though They did not give the cats the blanket from inside their crates when I brought them! Our cats sat and drank water for 5 minutes straight upon arriving home! Never again will I bring them back here! Staff is incompetent and rude! Telling me they aren’t trained pet behaviorists! You don’t need to be to see they mishandled, starved and dehydrated our pets! They admitted they did freely, they just did t realize how they sound!

Do not. I REPEAT. DO NOT send your animal to this sorry excuse of a “boarding facility”. The owner is SO RUDE and SO DISRESPECTFUL. Keep your pets FAR AWAY from this facility if you love and care about them. AWFUL customer service. AWFUL owner , AWFUL facility!

We love Tails-A-Waggin and have used them for over 10 years. They took wonderful care of our old dog and provide great care for our current dogs. The people are friendly, the rates are fair, and the facilities are clean/well designed. We and our dogs love this place.

Took forever to reach them by phone. They automatically put me on hold every time I called and then when I finally called enough that I got them to listen, they bragged about being very crowded and busy, like that would give me comfort as a pet owner or want me to have my pet there. When I (respectfully) raised the concern about them not being able to devote much time to pets, the woman’s response was that I could just choose a different kennel and she hung up on me. I wasn’t even calling for kennel services. Unbelievably poor customer service.

Never taking my dog here again. If you love and care about your pet, take your dog or cat elsewhere! My 1 year old Maltese came back home so hungry and thirsty like If she hadn’t ate or had enough water for the 3 days she was there. The staff just seemed like they were only there because they’re getting paid and not because they actually love animals.

We’ve been taking our dog Duff here for over a year, and have had nothing but excellent experiences in boarding and daycare. The employees treat the pets with such love, care and attention, it puts my mind at ease whenever he is there. I was present when the previous reviewer picked up the two small dogs being boarded. The owner was asked if they’d like to tip the groomer (who had groomed both dogs beautifully), and the owner replied no. The employees were not rude, have a tone or anything of the kind. When the dogs were being put into their carriers, the two employees were handling them very carefully, and one dog in particular was afraid to go into it. The employee kindly asked the owner for assistance and instead of helping, chastised the employee, grabbed the other dog and marched it out to the car, then came back and rudely grabbed the other dog, rolled eyes & left abruptly. If you don’t want to leave a gratuity, that’s your prerogative, however, it clearly took a lot of time, care and attention, and it’s customary to compliment the service. I strongly suggest going and touring the facility, speaking with the employees and seeing how happy the animals are for yourself.

My dog was hurt while boarding the place. He was limping after the stay. My wife called to inquire what might have happened. The moment my wife told them he has been hurt, the lady at the desk rambled about ‘don’t get your dog here’ . Our purpose of call was to understand what happened and find a fix for it, but instead we got an inconsiderate business owner telling us to not board there. She did not even inquire what the injury is, who the dog is, etc? I wonder if they are inconsiderate to humans, the plight of an animal is un-imaginable.

I've been going here with my various dogs for 20 years. I've never had a problem. I board two medium sized dogs together in the same enclosure. I've read the reviews about rude customer service in the last couple of years. I haven't experienced any problems like that. The check-in process can be a bit slow if they're busy.

We are so disappointed with customer service. We understand everyone works hard for their money but forcing for “tip” is not right. If you don’t give them a tip for the service then they give bad attitude. I have notices that my dogs/kids seems maybe possible abuse. I would not recommend this place for anyone who cares about there dogs/kids. We are very very disappointed. We will never go back there again.

Very unfortunate experience for a regular customer who has been boarding here for 8+ years. We boarded our dog before we left for a vacation and told them when we dropped him off that a family friend would be picking him up for us the day before Fourth of July so he didn't have to stay in there an extra day. They told us we would need to pre-pay for everything, which we did, and we asked them 3 times to make sure it was listed that it was pre-paid because I did not want our friend to have an issue when picking up the dog. When she went to pick him up, she was told it was NOT paid for and that in order to pick up the dog, she would have to pay again, and took $300 more from her. We called on Friday to resolve the issue when they were open again and were told the owner and manager were out of town and would not be able to help us until July 12th. This took place on 7/3. We have been calling and no one will call us back. All we want is our $300 back that we were overcharged (as we are now out $600 total) and they just do not care. Extremely frustrating situation, and will not be boarding our dog here again especially since they have no interest in returning our money or resolving the situation. Horrible customer service, especially for it being a mistake on their end.

Avoid. Our dog came home with fleas, kennel cough and 5 lbs lighter. I don’t think she ate the entire time we were gone. I should have known that a place that would charge $4 for play time but $10 for “Love time” doesn’t give a damn about your pet.
